STV15MON48 Girl Power

Happy Monday!

I am hosting the Challenge at Stamp TV this week!

Here are ALL the details:

Are you ready?  I'm going to make this REAL simple......GIRL POWER!  Just make a feminine card, it could be a birthday, friendship, or just thinking of you kind of card, whatever you would like.  Just make sure we can tell it is for someone of the female persuasion!  Think Pink!  Add some BLING!  Show some special woman in your life how much she means to you!  No, you don't have to use pink or even bling, these are mere suggestions.

Here is the card I created for my lovely daughter's birthday!  She is my one and only and my best friend, yup as cliché as that sounds, it's all true!

Lots going on here.  I used 2 well loved Gina K Designs stamp sets for the sentiments, Basket Additions and Stamper's Favorites.  Dress form is a Cameo Cut file.

Then I just kept adding lots of fun embellishments; rosette ribbon and pearls for the dress, feathers, adhesive rhinestones and pearls, ribbon and an enamel dot.  Swiss Dots Embossing Folder for texture and a few die cuts; Stitched Traditional Tags and Bracket Edge Duo.

I found this a fun and fabulous card to make.  I think by choosing your recipient first, you can just go wild with imagination.

You may play along until 8:00 p.m. CST, Sunday December 6th, using the tag STV15MON48

I can not wait to see all of your fabulous entries and who you celebrate in your life!

I am also entering this card into the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

Enjoy~~

You Are So Many Things

Good Morning!

Hope you all enjoyed your Holiday!  Today is Turkey Soup day, and thankfully there is a chill in the air!

Today's card will be entered into the following Challenges; MFT Sketch, MFT Color and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

Again, I rotated the Sketch.

I used the MFT stamp set, Simply Fabulous Sayings.  I stamped several of the beautiful scripted words in various inks; Pink Pirouette, Tuxedo Black, Wild Wasabi, and Pacific Point.  I also used the Bracket Edge Duo die by MFT to add a bit of interest, all layered on white, pink and blue card stock, green card stock base.

A trio of ribbons in pink, green and blue topped off with a pretty pink button and a few color coordinating sequins for accent.

The only probably I have with this card is which FABULOUS, AMAZING, GORGEOUS, AWESOME, BEAUTIFUL woman in my life, can I send this to?  I fear I should have made 2 dozen!  I am that blessed!  Hope you all know who you are!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Enjoy~~

Golden Poinsettia

Good Afternoon!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Mod Squad, Christmas Floral, Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes! and Simon Says Work It Wednesday, Holiday Card.

I used the Gina K Designs stamp sets A Year Of Flowers 2 and Seasonal Labels.  I stamped 3 Poinsettias on Vellum using Gold Embossing Powder, which were fussy cut out.  I then layered them and added a Pop Dot to add dimension.

The flower was then added to layered die cuts using Spellbinders Majestic Labels 25.  A bit of gold tone ribbon and one single gold rhinestone added for accents.  Sentiment embossed in gold and stamped on to an MFT Stitched Traditional Tag die cut.  Lots of gold and sparkle on this simple little card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Merry Merry!

Dream

Hello!  Hope you all enjoyed your Holiday festivities!  We did.....and the weather has been so lovely!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Layered Stamping On Kraft and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

This was a FUN technique and I found the more 'off' I stamped the prettier I thought the outcome, well you'll see!

Check out Dawn's video HERE!

I used the Daydreamer stamp set from Papertrey Ink.  I stamped my images in white ink and then offset with the different colors.  Some are more 'exaggerated' than others and I love the look!  Inks in; Frost White, More Mustard, Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz, Real Red and Wisteria Wonder.

I used the Dotted Scallop Border dies from MFT, reversing them and layering (dots are not showing).  3 Enamel Dots to compliment the stamped white dots.  Using a White Sakura Glaze Pen I added white dots to the flowers.

Just a fun technique to try!

Thanks so much for dropping by.

Enjoy~~

Papertrey Ink November 2015 Blog Hop

Good Morning!

Today I am once again participating in the monthly Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.

This card will also be entered in to the Simon Says Work It Wednesday Challenge, Holiday Cards.

Here is this month's inspirational photo:

I was inspired by the colors and the scene.  I kind of made my own little mantle setting.  Taking the 2 Lupines from Papertrey Ink's Flower Favorites (stamp and dies) I created my 2 little Christmas Trees.  Stamped in Always Artichoke ink and die cut out.  I then took a White Wink Of Stella Pen and created a soft snowy look.  Using inks in Bermuda Bay and Pear Pizzaz I stamped 'ornaments' all over using stamps from Flower Favorites (large circle) and Daydreamer (3 dots and single dot).

I scored 3 lines at the base of the White card stock to mimic the wood of the mantle and mounted that on Silver glitter paper.  Added a bit of Tim Holtz Tinsel Twine to jazz it all up.

Really sets a Holiday mood......Fa La La La La

Thanks so much for hopping by.

Merry Merry!

When It Rains

Good Morning!

On the Great Impressions Blog today......taking a walk down Memory Lane.  Today I get to re-share one of my favorite Great Impressions cards that I have made from my time as a Design Team Member.

Here's my first one, more to come next month.

I used the F448 When It Rains stamp set.  I adore this sentiment with these sweet little rain boots!  Sentiment and image stamped using Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers.  I added a wee bit of Sakura Glitter Pens to some of the boot accents, they give it a subtle sparkle.

Classic and Scalloped Circle dies layered on top of a doily.  Corner Tabs, Enamel Dots, Black & White Gingham Ribbon, Jute Twine and a little silver heart charm as an accent.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Enjoy~~

Just a quick post with a sweet little card.  I will be entering this into the Challenge at MFT, Sketch.

I decided to rotate the Sketch.

I think she is fun and sweet, who doesn't remember swinging and screaming wheeeeeeeeeee?!?!  This is the MFT stamp set, Pure Innocence, Start Each Day With A Whee!  Image colored with Copic Markers.  Spellbinders Small and Large Labels used.  MFT Dotted Scallop Border.

Flower Button and Jute Twine, thin green ribbon, larger sheer green ribbon, extra buttons for accent.

May you all feel like screaming wheeeeeeee at some point!

Enjoy~~

Dynamic Duo

Good Afternoon!

Another little creation to share with you.  This will be entered into the Challenges at Stamp TV, Use A Snowman, hosted by my BFF Barbara Campbell and Simon Says Wednesday, Gearing Up For Christmas.

They are such good friends!  I stamped the snowman image from Season's Greetings by Gina K Designs, twice, masking off one.  Colored with Copic Markers and mounted on Spellbinders  Labels 3 die cuts.  MFT Notched Border die, Swiss Dots  and Snowflakes Embossing Folders to add a bit of interest.

A little chunky glitter snow, enamel dot and pretty ribbon to complete my look.  I went with a rustic country look in colors and Designer Papers, I also sponged the focal image die cut to soften it.

Thanks so much for popping in, glad you did!

Enjoy~~

Snowman Shaker Tag

Good Morning!

I have a quick little creation to share with you over coffee!

This will be entered into the Challenges at Stamp TV, Use A Snowman, hosted by the one, the only super talented and a wonderful BFF, Barbara Campbell..... and the crowd goes wild!  And Simon Says Wednesday, Gearing Up For Christmas.

Sorry.....lots of caffeine this morning (like always lol)

Just a simple little tag, but oh so fun to make!  I used the snowman stamp from Gina K Designs, Season's Greetings.  Made my shaker by following this VIDEO from Papertrey Ink.  It is my all time favorite way to make shakers!  The little guy, or 'Bucket Head' as I refer to him (with love!) was lightly colored with Copic Markers.  Added blue sequins and snowy glitter for the shaker itself.  A couple of blue grey metallic snowflakes from a small punch and a little red and white gingham ribbon.  I also used Spellbinders Classic and Scallop Circle dies.

Darling little Bucket Head!  lol

Thanks for popping in....hmmm.....should I get another refill?

Enjoy~~

Sleigh Bells Ring.....

.....are you listening......

Hello again!  Now that work has FINALLY slowed to a crawl (yippee) I can be in my craft room even more....makes for a very happy marriage!  ;)

I am entering this card in to the following Challenges:

MFT Sketch
MFT Color
Simon Says Wednesday, Gearing Up For Christmas
CAS-ual Chic, CCC05 Precious Metals

Here is my card:

That's NOT gold embossing powder!  I was walking through a craft store, A.C. Moore, when a Minc just fell off the shelf and into my basket.....looked at the price tag and when I saw it was 1/2 off, only $39.99, I let it stay!  Truth!

The sled stamp looks like this, I don't want you to think my Minc and foiling did not work.  :)

I used the MFT stamp set, Inspired By Christmas, I just love that antique sled, and even more so in gold foil!  The image is cut on a Spellbinders Labels 7 die, or as I call it 'the book one'.  Sentiment stamped in Tuxedo Black ink.  It's hard to capture all of that shimmer and shine of the gold foil, but it looks (and feels) SPECTACULAR in real life!

Added some gold ribbon, a couple of gold 'sleigh bells' and a few adhesive rhinestones.

In all of my research about the Minc I found that you do not need to purchase anything extra, other than the foil.  You don't need a Toner Pen, or Toner Powder, or even all of the cute die cuts with toner paper that all the craft stores sell.  I used clear embossing powder, heated that, placed my sheet of foil over it and ran it through the Minc.....perfect, it came out perfect!  I saw that everyone was using WOW extra fine clear embossing powder, I had the Michael's Recollections Brand and it still worked.  Pretty cool!

One week til Thanksgiving, I hope you get to share it with all of the ones you love!

Enjoy~~

Sending You xoxo

Good Morning!

I am entering my card in to the Challenge at Mod Squad, Pattern Your Paper, hosted by my BFF Judy Woodland. she's fun and fabulous and uber talented.

Jen McGuire had this VIDEO recently, stamping tone on tone.  I liked the technique and figured I would give it a try for Judy's Challenge.....glad I did.  I am NOT comparing my work to Jen's but I do like how it came out.

I used Papertrey Ink's Simple Sunflower and Swoosh stamp sets.  I stamped all over Gina K Designs, Sweet Corn card stock with More Mustard ink.  I hi-lighted the leaves with a White Glaze Sakura Pen.  I then took the eraser end of a pencil and 'stamped' dots around using White ink.

Layered the background on to black card stock to make it POP.  Using an MFT Stitched Tradition Tag die I stamped my sentiment in Tuxedo Black ink.  A little black and white gingham checked ribbon and jute twine to 'tie' it all together.

This is a really FUN technique to make and again, your possibilities are endless.

Thanks so much for dropping by today, I love it when you do!

Enjoy~~

Thankful

Hello!

Today's card will be entered in to the following Challenges:

Papertrey Ink, Motif Building
Dies R Us, #37 Thankful
Simon Says Monday, Thanks/Thanksgiving

This was a FUN Challenge, check out Betsy's VIDEO.  I used many Papertrey Ink stamp sets;  Daydreamer, Flower Favorites, Pretty Petals, Simple Sunflower (stamp & die) and Uncorked.  Lots of little stamps to choose from.  I did find that by using the center round stamp from Pretty Petals as my center focal point helped a lot, it let me gauge where I could stamp all around.

Inks in Always Artichoke, More Mustard, Pear Pizzazz and Tuxedo Black.  Spellbinders dies in Classic and Scallop Circles, MFT Fancy Flourish and some pretty sheer taupe ribbon for accent.  The background Designer Paper is by My Mind's Eye, Paris & Co.  I thought the polka dots would look great with my stamped dots.

This will be mailed off to a friend of mine who has been working hard lately!  Hope she enjoys it.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Enjoy~~

Oh Christmas Tree

Good Morning!

On The Great Impressions Blog today!

I loooooooooove this card I created for the upcoming Christmas Holiday.  Hope you do as well.

This is the adorable Great Impressions stamp, E402 Oh Christmas Tree.  Isn't that mouse and his little friend (in this case a blue bird) just the sweetest???  Adorable!!!  I stamped the image on to a Sizzix Labels And Stitched Frames die cut (sans the stitched one) and added a bit of sponging using Antique Linen ink.  Copic Markers used for coloring.

Dotted Scallop Border and Heart String dies used.  Corrugated strip for texture, Chipboard Button, Jute Twine and Enamel Dots for accents.  I also added some chunky glitter for a snowy path.

This guy looks like he is on a mission......a wonderful Christmasy Mission!

Don't forget to play along in our Monthly Challenge, Bling On The Holidays.  And when you use some of our wonderful Great Impressions Stamps be sure to link up your creation in to our Customer Gallery

Pearl & Silver

Good evening!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Mod Squad, Pearl & Silver, in recognition of Lung Cancer Awareness Month, hosted by a dear friend Joyce Erb,  CAS-ual Fridays, Precious Metals, and Simon Says Wednesday,  Thinking Of You.

I used the Gina K Designs stamp sets, Fabulous Frames and Stately Flowers 8, both illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger.  The flower was embossed in silver and stamped on to Vellum, which I fussy cut out.  The border of the frame was colored with a light grey Copic Marker.  I hi-lighted the dotted lines with a Sakura Clear Star Glitter Pen.  4 large Adhesive Pearls for accent.

I must say, after making this card late yesterday, I slept fine....I mean all of that empty white space did not keep me awake!  lol  You know what a challenge a CAS card is for me.  But, I  actually like this.  Who'd a thunk?!?!

I am mailing it off to Joyce Erb's good friend, Roxanne.....if you are participating in the Mod Squad challenge perhaps you could contact Joyce and get her address as well.  Wouldn't it be so nice for Roxanne to get some Happy Mail?

Thanks so much for dropping by!

Woodgrain Nautical

Good Afternoon!

I want to share another card with you, a simple, easy masculine birthday card.  This will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Monday, N Is For......and in this case it would be Nautical.

I used the Stampin' Up set, By The Tide for the images and the sentiment is from Gina K Designs, Follow Your Dreams.  I created a woodgrain background by scoring my card stock every 1/2", for nice wide planks.  Then I swiped several different inks over the card stock til I was happy with the color.  It reminds me of lightly 'pickled' wood.

Cut a window out using Spellbinders Classic Circle die and MFT Blueprints #12 die and then I added a layer of Vellum to mimic a porthole window.  Also added some hardware from Tim Holtz, Sprocket Gears.

Another semi-flat card, no-extra postage needed.....I think.

Thanks so much for coming by, appreciate you doing so.

Enjoy~~

Someone Special

Simple. Sweet. Flat.  No extra postage needed!  Gotta love that!

Have a Happy Sunday!

All The Things You Love

Good Afternoon!

This card I am sharing with you will be entered into the Challenges at Power Poppy, Embellish This and Simon Says Wednesday, Thinking Of You.

Love this beautiful image from Power Poppy's stamp set, Short Stacks.  This was stamped onto a Spellbinders Majestic Labels 25 die cut.  I also added the sentiment, stamped in Tuxedo Black ink.  Image colored with Copic Markers and accented with Sakura Glaze and Glitter Pens.  Designer Paper is by Anna Griffin, Isabelle Collection.

Added thin blue and green ribbons, textured rhinestones and a combination pearl and rhinestone flourish as my embellishments.  This card is for one of my most favorite sister in laws.....she has a fondness for books!

Thanks so much for coming by.  Have a happy day!

Enjoy~~

Let's Celebrate!

Good Morning!  Happy Friday!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Monday, N Is For.....

My N is for Number 2.  I will warn you this card is for my Grand Fur baby, Hank lol  He is just the sweetest and turns 2 on December 5th.....in case you want to send him a card too lol  (just kidding!)

I won a Blog Candy Grab Bag the other day from Simon Says and this was one of the wonderful items in it, a fun stamp set from Paper Smooches from Stamptember 2014.  Cuuuute, right?!?!

I used inks in Bermuda Bay and Elegant Eggplant, sentiment and swirls stamped in Tuxedo Black.  The stamped circle and number are from Gina K Designs, Simple Numbers.  I just went crazy stamping the dots all over the background.  The doggie image was stamped colored and fussy cut out.  I may add a googly eye to one of his eyes, not sure as yet.  Balloons were also fussy cut out and popped up on 3D dots.

I used a Wink Of Stella Pen to add some sparkle and shine.....unfortunately it was white....how did I not buy the clear one???  I also added a little giraffe brad, as giraffes are a BIG deal at my house.  A little ribbon and Baker's Twine to complete the look.

Here are some photos of Hankie Doodle:

Hankie 2.5 months old 6 pounds

Plays well with others
