Blessed

Time to Hop Along at Papertrey Ink.

Here is the Photo Inspiration for this month:

I saw the leaves as more gray than blue so that's what I went with here:

I started with a Peach card stock base and layered Gray and White on top.  Using the Paperttrey Ink stamp set Daydreamer I stamped the floral and leaf images all over.  My inks are; Dove Gray, Melon Mambo, and Tangerine Tango.  I also added some of the dotty stamps all over too.

Using the Counting My Blessings die set and the Blessed die I cut 4 layers in Black, Gray, Peach and White card stocks.  I offset each one just a bit to give it a shadowed look.  Sheer Ribbon.  WOS Glitter Pen for a bit of sparkle on the dots and inside leaf.

Quick.  Easy. Flat.

Thanks for hopping by!

Enjoy~~

Just Because

Good Morning!

This will be entered into the Challenges at Stamp TV, Masking and Simon Says Work It Wednesday, Sunshine (either literal or the color).

Sunshiny Yellow.....my favorite color!  I used the Gina K Designs stamp set, Fill It With Flowers.  I adore this Hydrangea stamp!!!  I stamped the ceramic cup (in this case) first and then masked it off.  I then  stamped the Hydrangea once, masked it off and stamped it again.  I did the same for one of the little leaves at the bottom too.  Images colored with Copic Markers.  I added a Sakura Orange Glaze Pen to each flower center.

My panels were die cut using the MFT Cross Stitched Rectangles dies.  Designer Paper by PTI; Green Boutique and Bright ButtercupRaven Black ink.  Sheer Ribbon and Tab.

It's just kind of a happy card!

Thanks for blowing by.

Enjoy~~

Special Person

Good Afternoon!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, A Bit Of Sparkle.

How fun are succulents?!?!  I just got this Stampin' Up! set, Oh So Succulent and the matching dies.  I think I am in love!  I die cut the images and colored with Copic Markers.  I created this little succulent wreath using the Sue Wilson Rustic Twig Wreath die.  Then placed it on an MFT Cross Stitched Rectangles die cut.

I added background texture using a Sizzix Embossing Folder.  CoreDinations Tim Holtz Distress Collection card stock.   Raven Black ink. Sheer Ribbon.

I added a bit of sparkle using a Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Pen.

Thanks for popping in.

A Little Birdie Told Me

Good Morning!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at; Stamp TV, Double Challenge--to create a Pocket Card and to decorate the inside of your card--which I typically do anyways  and Simon Says Wednesday, A Bit Of Sparkle.

I made this for one of my Mother's Gal Pals.

I used some pretty Designer Paper by CoreDinations, the Turquoise pack.  My stamp sets are by Gina K Designs, Birthday Blessings and Simple Numbers.  I started with a little Vellum envelope and added a strip of Black and White Polka Dotted Washi Tape.  My tag is a Traditional Stitched Tags die by MFT.  Sentiment stamped in Raven Black ink.

Paper Doily accent to place my Vellum envie on.  Using my Cameo I cut out the little birdie from the Birthday Blessings stamp set.  Turquoise Rhinestone and Pearl Flourish accent.  MFT Bracket Edge Duo die.

My tag has been decorated with a couple of strips of Designer Paper, Gingham Ribbon, Eyelet, Flower Button and Twine.  I covered the number 70 in glitter.

Who doesn't love a pretty tag?

The inside has been decorated with another strip of matching Designer Paper, sentiment and heart flowers.  Inks in Raven Black and Tempting Turquoise.

When the Stamp Junkies were celebrating their anniversary I was lucky enough to win one of these fantastic Card Hanger Dies by Laurie Willison from Soapbox Creations.  You can find all the info abut them HERE  Laurie has 4 different versions to choose from.  I picked the scalloped edge one, as you can also use it for a border die too!  Pretty clever, aye?

See how your pretty cards can now be showcased right on to the gift bag?  No more hiding that beauty in an envelope and tossing it in the bag.  I think this is one of the most clever dies out there.  Don't forget to check them all out at Laurie's Blog Post.

Thanks so much for flying by.

Enjoy~~

Baby Tim

Good Morning!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, A Bit Of Sparkle.

This is a picture of my son-in-law, Tim around a year old.  You remember Tim, the Father To Be.  :)

Apparently this is when his love affair with Cardigans began!    I used the Papertrey Ink products; Polka Dot Parade #4, Love & Marriage, Fabulous Frames and the Designer Paper, Men Of Life.  Inks in Marina Mist and Pool Party.

Penny Black Heart Strings die.  Sheer Blue Ribbon, Heart Button and Twine accents.  I had these little wooden stars which I painted blue and then doused in Glitter.  I dressed up the Teddy Bear using the Impression Obsession Retro Masculine die set, hat and bow tie--which Tim also loves.

Here is the card I made a while ago for Lori.  It was about 2 weeks before her father and I even knew she was pregnant.  So cute!

Now I just have to make one for Hank, the dog.....and maybe in four short weeks we will know WHO will be next.

Thanks for stopping by.

Double D, Flowers Galore!

Good Morning!

A brand new Challenge is up and running over at the Double D Challenge Blog.

Check out this Inspirational Tile to get your creative juices flowing!  Gorgeous, right???

Here's what I came up with!  I know, I have A LOT going on here!  But I love it!

I created my wood grain background first, picking up on the natural look of that wood crate in the Inspirational Photo.....which I then carried on to my lovely wood barrel.  Natural and Rustic, a combo that can't be beat!  I used several beautiful stamp sets from Gina K Designs to create this card (which, by the way, was extremely FUN); Beyond Baskets, Birthday Blessings, Fill It With Flowers (boy did I ever!) and Folk Filigree.  Inks in Always Artichoke, Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, and Wisteria Wonder.  I just kept stamping flowers wherever I wanted.  Fantastic!

I framed this all in using the Papertrey Ink, Shakers & Sprinkles dies set.  I also added a few 3D flowers and vines using the Poppy Stamps die set, Large Madison Window, this comes with a flower box die and everything you need to fill it with.  Each flower has a seed bead center.   My sentiment is stamped in Brutus Monroe Raven Black ink and then heat embossed with Clear Powder onto a Vellum strip.  Copic Markers.  Adhesive Pearls.

Only if gardening were this easy!  I find the two equally rewarding though!

Please come on over to the Double D Blog and join in all of the FUN!

You'll be glad you did as there is always a fabulous prize up for grabs!

Hope you have a pretty day!

Enjoy~~

Baby Love

Hello!

This card was a Labor Of Love.....but I am sure you could figure that out!

It will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Going Dotty.

This was soooooo much FUN to make!  I knew I had to create a Silver Rattle.....get it?  So I whipped out my Mini Minc and some Holographic Silver Foil, talk about shine and sparkle, this stuff is amazing!  The Baby Rattle die is by MFT.  I made it into a Shaker card by cutting Spellbinders Standard Circle dies, a little Fun Foam, plastic packaging and a lot of Scor Tape.  I also cut a 2nd rattle out of chipboard and backed the first one, it's nice and sturdy.  Designer paper, Itty Bitty Stars by PTI.

MFT Cloud Trio die cut for my Baby sentiment which is from the Polka Dot On Parade # 4 stamp set by PTI.  The Love die cut is also by PTI, Big Basics Love You die, which I cropped.  Sheer Ribbon, Silver Twine, Heart Charm and Grey Enamel Dots for accents.

The sentiment is from a Verve stamp and just perfect for the inside of my Shaker, Raven Black ink.  The Shaker bits are from PTI, the Shakers And Sprinkles Kit.....little silver stars!

This is the Homespun Heart die by Memory Box, which has also been cropped.  Matching Yellow/Grey heart on front of card as well.  I have to keep the colors baby neutral.....but that may all change in a mere 4-6 weeks!  :)  Card stocks in White, Grey and Yellow.

BABY LOVE!!!

Enjoy~~

Bloom Forever

Good Morning!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at; Power Poppy, Frame It Up, Simon Says Wednesday, Hint Of Pink, Simon Says Monday, It's A Frame and Penny Black, Photo Inspiration.

I was drawn to the colors of the photo.

Luckily I don't need a sympathy card as yet, but as I was thumbing through my stamp sets I came across this beauty from Power Poppy, Soothing Sympathy.  It has beautiful images and comforting sentiments.  I started with my stamped background panel which was cut using some of the PTI Shakers And Sprinkles dies.  I knew I would place another framed panel over that so I made sure my stamped images would also create a frame of sorts.  Sheer Ribbon.

This panel was cut using the MFT Cross Stitched Rectangles dies, which I layered twice to create another frame.  My sentiment fit perfectly within.  Raven Black ink and Copic Markers.  I also backed it with a piece of Fun Foam to make it nice and sturdy and to add a bit of oomph!

I then stamped this pretty posey, colored it and fussy cut it out.  I also added a WOS Clear Glitter Pen and a couple of pop dots to support it.

This adds a bit of depth.

And dimension.

The card stock is that Michael's Recollections Brand, Ballerina pack, full of beautiful shades of pinks.  Designer Paper is Darice Coredinations, Pink Prints.   These both are quite affordable and do not look cheap or feeeeeel cheap, by any means!

Thanks for coming by, love it when you do.

Enjoy~~
