Papertrey Ink April 2016 Blog Hop

Hello!

I am once again participating in the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.

Inspirational Photo
I was drawn to the shapes and the colors, the different shades.  I stamped off once before stamping my images in each color.

I used the Papertrey Ink sets; Simple Sunflowers (stamp and dies) and the Swoosh die set.   Inks in Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Black Licorice.  Background stamped in Versa Mark ink and Clear Embossing Powder.

Layered Hello die cuts.  Crystal Drops in Ebony (these things are AHmazing!)  Gingham Ribbon, Jute Twine and Button for accents.  I love that sweet little Sunflower Charm.

I will also be entering this card into the Challenge at Simon Says Monday, Show Us Your Metal.

Wrapped Flowers

Good Monday Morning!

Back again with another post at the Dies R Us Inspirational Blog.

Today's card is for Mother's Day, which is fast approaching.  This year it is on May 8th.

Flowers are always such a sure bet for Mother's Day!

I first created a paper cone to place my bouquet of poppies inside.  I used the beautiful Mix N' Match Poppies die from Frantic Stamper.  Gorgeous!  I die cut them out of water color paper and then proceeded to paint them.  Glued several on the cone then layered a piece of tulle, giving more dimension, and then I added more pretty yellow poppies.  Arranged a few of the die leaves around and sentiment tag, Die-Namics, Stitched Traditional Tags.  Decorated the cone itself with Polka Dot Designer Paper, Baker's Twine and a pretty little Heart Charm.     Found some beautiful Designer Paper in my stash with gold accents and created my background.  Sheer Yellow Ribbon and mini Candy Dot for accents.

I knew the cone needed just one more embellishment so I grabbed the Musical Stave die by Amy Design.  I cut it out of Toner Paper and then ran it through my Mini Minc Machine with Gold Foil.....WOW!  The detail is AHmazing!!!

I also added a butterfly using the Butterfly Set # 2 by, Dies R Us.  I cut 2 different ones, one in teal and the other from Toner Paper, again running it through my Mini Minc Machine with Gold Foil.  Another WOW!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Enjoy~~

Love And Joy

Happy Saturday everyone!

Today I am back on the on the Dies R Us Blog!   I have a little black and white creation to share with you today which corresponds with our current Dies R Us Challenge #47 Black And White.

I grabbed this fabulous Zinnia flower die by Elizabeth Craft Designs.  Cut several flowers out of White card stock and Vellum.  Assembled by layering the 2 different sizes of flowers and curling and pinching the petals to make them look a little more realistic.  Adding large White Adhesive Pearls as center accents.  Then using the Paper Smooches  Foliage 2 dies I began cutting out my leaves also in White card stock and Vellum.

I arranged my flowers in a cascading design and once attached to the card base I started filling in the empty spaces with the foliage cuts.  I also added a handful of pearls to help adhere the die cuts down.  Functional and pretty.  Using Versa Mark ink and White Embossing Powder I heated my sentiment on a hand cut flag banner.  Sentiment from Gina K Designs, Fanciful Fall.  A sheer black ribbon and a few more pearls for accents.

For You

Hello!

I CASED another card.  This time from Laurie Schmidlin.  It was my favorite card from the Gina K Designs Release last week.

Here is my card:

I used the Gina K Designs stamp sets; A Little Something, Signs Of Spring and Stately Flowers 8.  I didn't have a big flourish so I used the little flower from A Little Something.  Worked like a charm when stamping with Versa Mark ink to create my background.  Green base portion die cut using My Favorite Things Die-Namics, Snow Drifts.

I took liberties in coloring the Orange Blossoms, typically white, I went with shades of yellow.  Leaves stamped in Wild Wasabi ink.  Sentiment in Gold Embossing Powder.  A little torn Vellum, gold ribbon and Sakura Yellow Glitter Pen for accents.  And last but not least, a sweet little butterfly accent, Martha Stewart Trio Punch, blue, white and Vellum layers.

I adore Laurie Schmidlin's creativity.....you should check out her amazing work!

This card will be entered into the following Challenges;

Simon Says Monday, Beautiful Butterfly
Simon Says Wednesday, Make It Girlie
Double D, April Showers Bring May Flowers
ScrapyLand, Oh Happy Spring

Thanks so much for fluttering by!

Twisted Triple Stamping

Good Morning!

A few years ago my BFF Judy Woodland introduced us to that Triple Stamping Technique via this VIDEO from Stampin' With Frenchie.

Now, Melanie Muenchinger has put her little twist on the technique.....literally!  Check out her VIDEO.

Here's Melanie's card, which I CASED!

Here is my card:

I used the Gina K Designs stamp sets, A Year Of Flowers 2, Enjoy The Sunshine and Fabulous Frames.  I stamped along with Mel and her fabulous video, it was pretty fun!

Images colored with Copic Markers.  Vellum strip for stamped sentiment.  Check out Mel's VIDEO, super easy and packs a WOW!

Thank You Friend

Hello!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Faux Brush Lettering, Simon Says Monday, Beautiful Butterfly, Simon Says Wednesday, Make It Girlie and Double D, April Showers Bring May Flowers.

I used the Vintage Linens stamp set from Papertrey Ink.  I stamped them on Rustic White card stock first and then I die cut out the tag using MFT's Stitched Traditional Tags, coloring the stamped portion on the tag with Copic Markers.  I did not have a large brushstroke sentiment, but I was able to darken the large F from friend.

Craft paint splatters in orange and yellow.  Yellow gingham ribbon for accent.  Martha Stewart Butterfly Trio punch and Crystal Drops in Dandelion.    I also added a bit of Sakura Black Glaze pen to the flower centers.

Thanks for coming by!

Enjoy~~

You Make Me Happy

Good Morning!

An itty bitty card to share with you today.  This will be entered into the Challenges at Stamp TV, Size Doesn't Matter, WOW! Embossing Powder and Simon Says Monday, Butterfly Beauty.

This card measures only 3.5 x 4.5 inches.  I finally opened that jar of Texture Paste I bought way back when.  Using a PTI Hexagon Cover Plate die cut as a stencil,  I smeared on a good amount of the paste.  While it was still wet I doused it in some Gold Embossing Powder and let it dry overnight, then I heat set the powder.  It did bubble up a bit here and there, but I was able to smooth them down with my fingers.  It's kind of cool and full of wicked texture.  This was all done on a Spellbinders Decorative Label 8 die cut.

Cheery Lynn Butterfly 6 die cut, which I ran through my Mini Minc with Gold Foil.  I also traced the die itself on to black card stock to create a backing.    The sentiment is from Gina K Designs, Baskets Of Happiness, which was also heat embossed in Gold Powder.

I'll have to do some experimenting with the Texture Paste....I'm just so pleased I finally opened it!

Thanks for coming by!

Enjoy~~

Room With A View

Good Monday Morning!

Today I am sharing with you my very first post as a new member of the Design Team at the Dies R Us Inspirational Blog.  YAY!
My first card uses the fantastic Large Madison Window Set, by Poppystamps.

I die cut the window and window box out of white card stock, the flowers from pink and yellow and the vines from 2 different shades of green.  Flowers and vines I cut several times to fill that glorious window box with pretty Spring posies.  Behind the window I placed some Polka Dot Designer Paper to mimic wallpaper and added a piece of lace as my curtain, and Vellum for my pane of glass.  This was all mounted on fun foam, giving the window scene some depth and dimension.  Assembled my flowers and placed in the window box.  Some have pearl centers some have little seed beads.  Brick Embossing Folder tinted with a bit of Antique Linen ink for my house.  The addition of the sweet little house sentiment.

For my second card I used the same exact die set.
I've always wondered what would be on the other side of window scene cards.

I created this in the exact same manner, only from inside the house looking out.  Polka Dot Designer Paper for my wallpaper and white bead board with chair rail, which was made by scoring the white card stock every 1/4".  Tree image stamped, Vellum and lace added to complete my scene.  Again, mounting all on fun foam.  This time I found the window box would make a perfect place to stamp my sentiment.   Mini Candy Dots for accents.

Sentiments from Gina K Designs, Home Is and Home Tweet Home.

I love that this die set has everything you need to create wonderful rooms with views.  ONE die set, Large Madison Window Set, by Poppystamps.

Thanks so much for stopping by, see you soon!

Enjoy~~

Flower Note Cards

Good afternoon!  Blog Candy below.....part 3.

A little set of floral note cards to share with you today.  I will enter them into the Challenge at Simon Says Monday, April Showers Bring May Flowers.

I had some 'leftover' impatient flowers I created from some SVG cuts so I thought they would be perfect on a few little note cards.  They measure 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 inches.

MFT Cross Stitch Rectangles.  I sponged Peeled Paint Distress ink over the left portions of the die cut, then using a water brush I dropped water on it to lift some color off.  Then taking ink in a coordinating color I dropped spots of that all over; Crushed Curry, Perfect Plum and Pink Pirouette.  Sentiments from Gina K Design sets, All Occasion Tags and Botanicals stamped in Black Licorice ink.  Liquid Pearls for flower centers in; Buttercup, Flamingo and Lavender Lace.

Simple little Note Cards.

Thinking Of You

Hello!

I can honestly say I love flowers and I love jars....and I just adore flowers IN jars!  :)

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Simon Says Monday, April Showers Bring May Flowers and Simon Says Wednesday, Polka Dots.

I used the stamp and die sets from Papertrey Ink; Vintage Linens, Just The Jar--Quart.  I 'water colored' the flowers.  Jar was die cut out of water color paper and a layer of Vellum, which I then gently sponged the edge of in Pool Party ink, to give it the look of glass.  Adding pale blue sequins to the bottom right corner to give the appearance of water.  Easy technique and love the way it looks.

Stamped the sentiment form Gina K Designs, All Occasion Tags onto an MFT Traditional Stitched Tag die in Black Licorice ink.   A little Bakers' Twine and a few more sequins in orange and green.  Designer Paper is by DCWV, Glitter Basics.  Black Sakura Pen to hi-light center of flowers as well as a bit of Wink Of Stella Clear.  3 Dimensionals to pop up flowers.

***** WARNING*****  I will be using this jar set a lot!!!

Thanks for coming by.  Hopefully tomorrow I will be in the gardens.....we are still experiencing cool weather and now the winds have kicked up.....Spring is very late this year!  Sigh.

Enjoy~~
