Fancy Fold Pop Up

Happy Tuesday!

On the Great Impressions Blog today!

Not 100% sure what style of card this is, so I have dubbed it a Fancy Fold Pop Up Card.  Does that work?  I used the beautiful Great Impressions flower stamp F553 Large Stitched Flower as my 'Pop Up' as well as the AA24 Solid Sunflower and the Thinking Of You Sentiment from  E791 Sweet Sentiments

The solid sunflower is stamped in More Mustard on the strip and again in Antique Linen on the tag.  I also used a Sakura Black Glaze pen to accent the stitched flower.

Swiss Dots Embossing Folder to add some texture, pretty yellow gingham ribbon, button and Jute Twine as accents.  Classic Circle and Stitched Tag dies used.

There's still a few hours left to play along in our September Challenge.  Good Luck!  And please upload your Great Impressions creations into our Customer Gallery.

Thanks so much for stopping by, love it when you do!

Wedding Card With Accordian Fold

Good Morning!

I made this card the other day for the Challenge at Stamp TV , Fancy Your Fold, hosted by Leslie Turner.

I've been experimenting with Wedding cards.  Thought I would give a Fancy Fold one a try.  This card uses the Gina K Designs stamp sets, Celebration Diva, Mr. & Mrs. Diva and True Love.

I found this wonderful textured background paper in my stash as well as the glittered white card stock.  Adhesive Rhinestones and Silver Ribbon added for accents.

I created this Accordian Fold Tag by watching this great VIDEO from Catherine Pooler.  Super easy!

Lots of space to decorate or even to write on.  I chose to stamp several sentiments, add some pink hearts and black elegant flourishes, all cut from glittered card stock.  It adds pizzazz!

I left the inside blank to write my heartfelt emotional note.  ;)  I have a few Wedding cards to choose from, they'll probably get them all!

Thanks for coming by!

Sweet Happy Moments

Good Morning!

Today Great Impressions is sponsoring the Challenge at Aud Sentiments Anything Goes With A Sentiment.

I used the Great Impressions stamp E803 Sweet Happy Moments.  Sentiment stamped in Melon Mambo Ink.  I bagged up a bunch of Hershey Kisses and tied the bag off using a bit of silver ribbon and then trimmed the excess baggie off with scissors.

I used these treats as Bridal Shower Favors for the younger crowd.  Let's just say they were a BIG hit!

Thanks for stopping in.

May you find a sweet happy moment in each day!

Shake It Up!

Hello!  In between wedding crafting and working (still!) I snuck in a little card making time, just for myself!  Shhhhh!

I am entering this into the MFT Challenge You Could Be A Card Design Superstar!  You may enter up to 5 times.....but I fear this may be my only entry!

I decided to do a couple of different things for this card.  First it's a Shaker Card and second I die cut bright colored felt to make my pretty flower.  I will confess that I have always felt that felt (lol) was a bit 6th grade.....you know a little juvenile......BUT this flower on this card I kind of LOVE....so there!

I used the MFT stamp set, Simply Fabulous Sayings and the MFT dies from Roses And Leaves, Stitched Traditional Tags, and Fancy Flourish.

Felt flower topped with 2 sequins.

Glitter and sequins in coordinating colors make up the shaker!  I quite love this card and will find a good home to send it to.....so many names come to mind!

Thanks so much for coming by, love it when you do!

I also think YOU'RE AMAZING!

Enjoy~~

She Leaves A Little Sparkle.....

Good Tuesday Morning!

I'm over at the Great Impressions Blog today!

My card uses the Great Impressions stamp, E880 Sparkle.....it's totally fabulous, right?!?!  I began by sponging some Daffodil Delight ink on my card stock and then spritzing with Glimmer Mist in Crimson.  When it all dried I heat embossed the sentiment using a white glitter embossing powder.  It's hard to see the glitter on the sentiment from here, but trust me it's there!

This card is totally flat and will need no extra postage, so angling the card in this manner adds a bit more interest.

To create the glittery flourishes I used a fancy flourish die and took the negative, this became my template.  I placed it on each corner and with a 2 Way Zig Pen I added glue, sprinkled on my glitter and then heat set them.

We have a new Monthly Challenge going on, so come on over and play! And don't forget to upload your Great Impressions creations to our Customer Gallery.  At the end of the year we will do some giveaways to say THANK YOU to all of our loyal customers!  How cool is that?!?!  And trust me, year end is coming quick!!!

Thanks so much for dropping by......may you all leave a little sparkle as you go!  ;)

Enjoy~~

White Washed Sunflower

Good Afternoon!

Finally had a little time to play.  This card will be entered into the Challenge at the Mod Squad, White Wash, hosted by the one, the only, the ever talented, Barbara Campbell.

I used the Gina K Designs stamp set, Autumn Beauty, love this particular sunflower.  I rather like the White Washed Technique, it adds quite a contrast.  Here's Melanie's VIDEO in case you'd like to give it a try.

I layered the Spellbinders Majestic Labels 25 and added my sunflower.  These dies are very intricate and my new Big Shot handles them well!  Just a few Adhesive Pearls and matching Ribbon for accents.

I think I did have as much fun trying this technique as Barbara did!  YAY!

Thanks so much for coming by!

Enjoy~~

Spooky Tree

Happy Sunday Morning!

Today we start a brand new Monthly Challenge at Great Impressions!!!  This month's theme is

FUN!!!

Here is my Challenge Card:

As soon as I saw that tree stamp I knew I had to own it, isn't it spooky?!?!  It's the Great Impressions stamp,  G432 Spooky Tree.....appropriately named!

I heat embossed the tree using black embossing powder, then I took some orange and black craft paint and flicked them all over the image using my trusty craft toothbrush.  That technique is super easy and really adds a bit of oomph!  Plus if you ever have an ink smear or smudge you can usually cover it up!  ;)  I used a Spellbinders Classic Oval die to create my window which I raised by using a ton of pop dots on the panel.  Designer Paper from my Halloween stash pile.

My row of Jack-O-Lanterns were created using a Martha Stewart Punch, which I layered on black and glittery orange card stock.....creepy!  A little black and white gingham ribbon tied off and a bit added as a ribbon tab.  I then cut a little spider web with my Cameo and added some black glitter to give it a great sparkle.

Now you have all month to create a fun and/or spooky card for the  GI Challenge!  And remember when using your Great Impressions stamps, upload into our Customer Gallery.

Thanks so much for dropping by!

Enjoy~~

Flower Flyer

Good Tuesday Morning.......Happy September!  In our house we call this WEDDING MONTH!!!

I am back on the Great Impressions Blog today!

This Fall card has a sweet little wagon full of sweet little flowers.  It was created using the Great Impressions stamp G327 Flower Flyer.  I am thinking I should get a wagon for Spring planting in my gardens, might save some wear and tear on my back....and wouldn't it be so cute pulling a little red wagon throughout my yard?  YES!!!

Swiss Dots Embossing Folder for texture, double stitched ribbon, button and twine bows for accents. I also framed my image, which was colored with Copic Markers, using a corner tab punch.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Don't forget our new Monthly Challenge begins on Sunday, September 6th, pop on back and check it out.

Thanks so much for rolling by!

Enjoy~~
