Oh Dear....Or Deer!

Good Afternoon!

I have to thank one of my gal pals, Kathy, for sending me so many die cuts a while ago!  I went digging through them again yesterday and found this sweet little deer family, how adorable!

THANK YOU, KATHY!!!!

My card will be entered into the Challenges at Stamp TV, What's Your Name, (to use the first initial of your name) and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

I used the Gina K Designs stamp sets, Masculine Tags and Blessed Is The Season, fabulous trees!  The Designer Paper is by DCWV, The Cinnamon Luster Stack, another $3.49 deal! I made a window in the card base using Spellbinders Classic Oval, then layering a Classic and Scallop Oval dies I made a frame.  A simple brown one for the outside and a printed one for the inside to cover up the cut.  I also added a bit of sparkly glitter snow to the trees and the ground.

It's a simple masculine birthday card, but I kind of love it!

Wasn't Kathy a dear?

Glittery Cardinal

Good Morning!  I thought I was done making Christmas cards, but maybe I am not.  First one of 2015!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Mod Squad Blog, Animals (including birds) and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

I used the Gina K Designs stamp set, Peace And Joy.  First time getting any of these stamps inky, whahoo!  I stamped many little holly leaves onto the card stock base.  Then I added a bunch of red rhinestones for the berries all over.  The Cardinal image was stamped on white card stock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Markers.   I used Heat and Stick Powder and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, both by Stampin' Up!  These products are simply AMAZING!  The glitter that is permanently adhered to the image is outstanding, soooo sparkly!  And it stays where it's put as you reheat it for a second time to seal it all in place.  I then added some green glitter paper using a corner punch to frame the Cardinal.  I also added a little border of Holly Designer Paper on the inside of the card to tie it all together.

Hope your day sparkles and shines, you know like the snow that is falling....AGAIN!.....and thanks so much for coming by!

I'll Drink To That!

Good Afternoon.....it's 5 o'clock somewhere....right?

This card will be entered into the Challenges at MFT Sketch and Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes!

I used the MFT stamp set, Martinis On Me, Open Simply Scallop, Dotted Scallop Border and Blueprints #12 Dies.  Spellbinders Classic Oval die (for my little green olive). Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Corner Punch.  The Designer Papers are by DCWV, Coral Couture.  I added a few green brads, and 1 red one for the Pimento!  :)  Image colored with Copic Markers and lots of gold glitter for her sexy little dress and high heels, she is FUN!!

So drink up gals!

Hope you all are having a wonderful Friday....last one of the month, bring on February!

Enjoy~~

Birthday Wishes

Good Morning!  The blizzard has passed!  The sun was shining yesterday, we do have a little bit of rain today and possibly some more snow on the way, but it is January, it is winter and this is New England!  We will survive!

I had a fun time creating this birthday card for a very dear friend.  Hope she enjoys it!

Found the inspiration on Pinterest, of course!  I used the Gina K Designs stamp sets, Buds And Vases, Enjoy The Sunshine, and Stamper's Favorites.   I stamped and colored the jar with Copic Markers and then fussy cut it out.  I then stamped the flower image where I wanted it and then masking the card base stamped it again so the stems would be 'in' the jar.  I really should have extended the stems but I am afraid to do it now and mess it all up.....know what I mean?  lol  Tied a wee bit of pink gingham ribbon around the jar and adhered it to the base.  Flowers were also colored with Copic Markers and each center has a bit of Sakura Yellow Glitter Pen to add a bit of shine and sparkle.  Grabbed some of my beading supplies and glued a bunch of white/clear beads to the jar base to act as the 'marbles' (this is why I should have extended the stems--oh well).  Stamped the sentiment in Melon Mambo Ink, from Stampin' Up!

Just a fun card to design for a fun gal I know!

This card will be entered into the following Challenges:

CASology, Birthday!
Seize The Birthday, Anything Goes!
Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

Thanks so much for stopping by.....hope you are able to get your craft on!

Up InThe Clouds

Good Morning!

This card will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Monday, Up In The Clouds.

I made a very simple card using the stamp and die sets from Papertrey Ink, Love Notes.  When I saw those adorable Adirondack Chairs I KNEW I had to own these sets!

How welcoming is this sight?  If you come by I will bring you a frosty beverage too!

I sponged on my clouds and a little bit of earth.  I die cut my chairs and stamped the images and then using pop dots to add dimension, I placed them on my card base.

And the sentiment, is perfect, love it!

If you do come by, call first as I will have to shovel off these chairs!

Love Confetti Garland

Here it is still a blizzard and I am still making cards.....Valentine ones....which I really don't need anymore of.....oh well.....crafting is good for the soul!

This card will be entered into the  Papertrey Ink Challenge, Confetti Garland and at the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, Have A Heart.

I am totally hooked on making these little confetti garlands, so FUN!!!  Yes, I am easily amused apparently!  lol

Using a small heart punch I took several different Designer Papers and punched out 32 hearts.  I also grabbed a bunch of the larger red sequins I had in my stash.  Using a needle and some purplish thread I strung them all together, well in 3 batches.  I also found these wonderful heart shaped brads to coordinate with my card.  The stamped image is a 2 step process using the love stamps from the Love & Marriage set by Papertrey Ink.  I then took red, pink and white craft paint and splattered them all over the front of my card using an old toothbrush.   A little strip of border paper on the inside to complete the card.

FUN I tell you!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by, I appreciate you doing so!

Enjoy~~

Valentine Hearts

Good Afternoon!  Storm is still going strong and I have been crafting up a storm myself!

This card will be entered into the JUGS Photo Challenge and the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, Have A Heart.

I not only took my inspiration from the photo but also from Pinterest, love that site!  There are 2 stamped hearts, which I used white glittery embossing powder on, from the PTI set, Love & Marriage.  The 3rd slightly larger heart is from a Spellbinders Heart die which I also dry embossed using a Sizzix die.  The Designer Papers are Specialty Valentine ones from K & Company.  I also dry embossed a background piece to match the heart.  A pretty pink ribbon and bow topped with a large red rhinestone and some flat pink brads for accents.  I could use this card as an anniversary one as all of my Valentines are complete.  YAY!

Thanks for blowing by!

Enjoy~~

Confetti Garland

Oh what FUN this was to make!

My card will be entered into the Challenge at Papertrey Ink, Confetti Garland.

To make my garland I used 2 different dies, the square is from Uncorked and the sun/star burst is from City Scene, both from PTI.  I chose this fabulous new paper I picked up for a song....half price at $3.49, from DCWV, Coral Couture.  It is full of gorgeous hues and prints! After cutting out my shapes and poking holes in them, I found some coordinating large sequins, and then strung them all on a little bit of gold cording.  I also affixed them to the card base as Betsy did in her wonderful VIDEO, using two brads.  I hand cut three flag banners in pretty prints and then stamped Celebrate from the Uncorked stamp set.

A simple card to make....a FUN card to make!

Weather Update:

As of right now we still have power and heat, yay!  There are drifts of snow on my back deck of 3 feet, while in the side yard only looks like a foot and a half.....that's all.  lol  Winds are howling  and snow is swirling, could keep up all day and into night.   Spoke to my Mom who lives in town and she is having her meals delivered but was concerned about getting to her exercise class at 11.  hahaha  All is well.....knock on wood!

Thanks for stopping by.....think I will just craft through the storm.....perfect!

Enjoy~~

D Is For.......

Dogwood.....such a pretty flower!

I am entering today's card into the Challenge at Stamp TV, What's Your Name?  (use the letter of your first name) and for the Challenge at the Mod Squad Blog, To CASE A Card.

I found a beautiful card on Pinterest and tracked down the gal's Blog, Simply Sweet Stamping, by Val.  HERE is her original post and card.  Scroll down a bit to find her card.

Here is my creation:

A while back I won a Grab Bag of stamps from Gina K Designs and I got 2 beautiful stamps from the Dogwood & Butterfly set.  The original flowers are framing an oval shape. I stamped several flowers and then fussy cut them out, coloring them with Copic Markers.  I used the small branch image and stamped that twice directly onto the Kraft card stock base.  Then I just added all of my beautiful Dogwood flowers. I also popped a few up on 3D dots to add some dimension.   Then using the leaf stamp from the Stamper's Favorites set, I did the same thing, popping a few up to add dimension after coloring with Copic Markers and fussy cutting them out. The sentiment is from the Friends set and works perfectly with my flowers.  I also stamped the small branch on the inside of my card and added a bit of Cotton Candy Pink Stickles.

I was quite happy to be coloring flowers on this chilly winter afternoon.  We are under a Blizzard Watch/Warning/Actual Storm.  We are predicted to get 10-16 inches of snow while the rest of the state will be getting 2-3 FEET!  Oy Vay!  I think I will just keep coloring flowers and thinking of Spring!  Ha!

Be safe and cozy wherever you may be!

Enjoy~~

On The CASE

Hello!

I  must say I had a lot of fun 'copying'  Theresa Momber's original creation, seen HERE. She has remarkable step by step tutorials which I utilize all the time.  She has a smart way with shading, sponging and coloring, if you're ever in doubt I suggest you check out her blog!

My card will be entered into the Mod Squad Blog, to CASE someone, and at the Stamp TV Challenge, It's Ovalerly Easy, to use an oval somewhere on your project.

My card uses the Stamp TV stamp set, Birds and Blossoms!  This is an older set, but truly a classic.  Beautiful images to create and color.  Theresa's post is now 2 years old, yet remains timeless!

I didn't have the exact same products, so I switched out the Grand Decorative Ovals die for Spellbinders Beaded Oval die,  several different Copic Marker colors and I did not have the Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A Frames so I just used my Scor Pal and scored several lines to create my frame.  I also used the Spellbinders Classic Oval die.  A lovely flourish of adhesive rhinestones and the Spellbinders Fancy Tags die.

Thanks again for popping in, you are appreciated!

Enjoy~~

Appreciate you popping in, thanks so much!

Three Panel Card

Good Morning!

Today's creation will be entered into the Challenge at PTI, 3 Panel Cards and the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Have A Heart.

I used the PTI stamp sets, Love & Marriage and Uncorked, as well as the Uncorked die set.   The original card stock size is 4.25 x 11 inches.  I scored each end at the 3 inch mark to create the tri-fold.  Ashely has an easy to follow video HERE.    Adhesive rhinestones, a couple of cut out hearts, bead and twine for accents and closure.  I also rounded the corners.

Here it is fully opened:

I loved making all of those wine bottles, quite fun!

A flourish of adhesive rhinestones.  The last panel I left blank so I can write my message there.  A super happy celebration card!

Thanks for coming by!

Winter

Good Afternoon!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Monday, Winter.  I must say I am not a true fan of winter, BUT I do like all the wintry stamp sets.

I placed a nice order from PTI before vacation and my stamps and dies were waiting for me when I returned home and now I feel healthy enough to play, thank goodness!  This is a Papertrey Ink set, Through The Trees.  I have always loved the look of this tree line and the fact that you can make them Birch Trees as well, just by changing ink color.  And then the addition of the birds, I of course, chose to make them Red Cardinals, my most favorites!  I added some chunky glitter to mimic the snow.  It sparkles and shines like when you wake up on a crisp winter morn and a blanket of white covers your yard.  (it always sounds so much nicer than it is in real life--or at least that's how I feel!)

I added a bit of bright red ribbon and 5 enamel brads.  On the inside I used an MFT die, Open Bracket Border.

This is also one of my new favorite sentiments.

Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy~~

Teal & Purple

Hello!  I must say it has been a very long time since I crafted, too long. Yesterday's card just needed a finishing touch ribbon added, the work was done prior to my vacation.  I am happy to be back in my craft room, it's a very happy place to be!

Today's card is done in the nick of time, for the Mod Squad Challenge, Teal & Purple.

I used Melanie Muenchinger's stamp set, Buds & Vases, by Gina K Designs.  This is an older set, but one I grab all the time. The images are timeless and can be used for so many occasions.  Images colored with Copic Markers.  The rose buds and jar are fussy cut out, which adds a bit of depth to the card.  The dies are from MFT, Vertical Greetings and Vertical Frame.  A little tag for the sentiment, a bit of twine and enamel dots for accents.

Phew!  I can't believe I got this done in time.....and it actually started out as a baby card before becoming this rustic jar of roses. Funny!

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it!

Enjoy~~

Inky Backgrounds

Good Afternoon!

What a crazy couple of weeks!!!  Hubby was so kind and stole me away to Aruba for a week......it was fantastic!  Plus we missed  -4 degree temps while away.....Perfect!  Then when we got back I got that awful Flu that is going around, it's not good.....this is day 6, I do feel better and then.....I don't.  It's hard to describe.  If you can avoid it, please do!  I am just happy that I wasn't sick while away, that would have been horrible to say the least. Eek!

Anyways, home and on the mend, back to work tomorrow, hopefully!

Today's card will be entered into the Stamp TV January Release Party Challenge, to color with a sponge and the Simon Says Monday Challenge, Inky Backgrounds.

This card uses the Retiform Technique, and Gina has an awesome Video HERE.  I have used this technique before, actually with this same stamp set, Stamper's Favorites, as she has done as well.  It really is fun and comes out so nicely.  So grab some post-its and give it a try!   I've used Pure Luxury, Turquoise Sea card stock as my base and the 2 sponged inks are Pear Pizzazz and Bermuda Bay, stamped images are in Always Artichoke all by Stampin' Up! The only accent is the shear blue Organdy ribbon.  I really enjoyed this technique.

May 2015 be kind to you all!

Go Patriots!!!

Thanks for coming by!

Enjoy~~

Lovely Day

Good Afternoon!

This card will be entered into the Challenge at My Favorite Things, Sketch and at Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

I used the MFT stamp and die set, Sweet Roses, and dies from Blueprint #12 and on the inside I used the Wavy Edge die.  A simple card, but my Mom can send it to her sister for her birthday, so it doesn't need any extra postage.....gotta love that!   The Designer Paper is by My Mind's Eye, Blush.   Stampin' Up! Ink in Cherry Cobbler and some pink Copic Markers to color the top rose.  3D foam square to add dimension for the rose and some dotted Vellum for the sentiment, and a bit of paper piercing in the top left corner, it totally needed something!  Easy Peasey!

Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy~~

A Touch Of Gold

Happy New Year!  I hope you all are enjoying this fresh new start to the year!

This is how I started my day, don't let that sunshine fool you it was about 28 degrees, brrrr!  BUT, still a great way to start the year!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Stamp TV, The Midas Touch and the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

Unfortunately, I had to make a Sympathy card.  I hope this brings some comfort to my dear friend, lets her know she is not alone.

I used the tree image from the Fanciful Fall stamp set and the sentiment from Heartfelt, from Gina K Designs.  Heat embossed them using gold embossing powder. The tree is on Vellum, which I then framed and added some 3D foam squares to, to add dimension and to make it look more like a window panel.  Added some gold ribbon and gold twine and black enamel dots.  I also used a Swiss Dots embossing folder to add texture to the frame.

I will pop it in the mail in the morning.

May you all be blessed in this New Year, with health and happiness!

Enjoy~~
