Perfect Poppies

Good Monday Morning!
Back on the Dies R Us Blog today to share a pretty Poppy card with you all!

I must say I just bought this beautiful Row Of Poppies die by Memory Box and this pretty Border Edgers die by Penny Black in mid November and this is the first time I am using them and now they are no longer available, I am writing this post on December 6th.

Things move QUICKLY through our Dies R Us Store, so my advice to you is, if you see something you like BUY IT!!!  Do not dilly dally!

There are many dies that you could use to get this very same look, here are a few:

Tutti Designs
Heart Flower Garden

Impression Obsession
Floral Heart Strip

Cheery Lynn Designs
Southern Charm Valance

Memory Box
Albana Border

After die cutting my flowers from water color paper I water colored them using inks in Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango and Wild Wasabi.  I use my regular ink pads and a water brush, this technique works perfectly for me.  I also cut them from a piece of Black card stock and placed them into the negative space, being careful to replace any and all of the Black card stock.  I think this 'inlaid' look is very appealing.

My corner die is Lace Corner Deco H by Cheery Lynn.  A little strip of Designer Paper on the edge and inside for accents and my card is complete.

This card wil also be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Enjoy~~

Remember everyday the Design Team will be sharing beautiful inspiration with you all, so keep coming back!

Thank You Florals

Good Morning!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Altenew, Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes and Simon Says Work It Wednesday, Something New.

I used the Altenew stamp and die sets, Magnolias For Her, which I water colored.  Inks in Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Wild Wasabi.  Images stamped in Black Licorice ink.  Base card stock is Cranberry Tart by Gina K Designs.

My background panel was die cut using the Memory Box Distress Windham Collage.  I loooooove this.  It has 4 different dies to use, really adds so much to your creation I think.  Sentiment stamped in Cajun Craze ink.  Golden Star Sakura Glitter Pen added to flower centers.

This card really came together quickly and I love that cluster of Magnolias!

Thanks for stopping by to smell the Magnolias.

Happy Birthday In Blues

Good Morning!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at; Stamp TV, It's My Party (Cat's Birthday!), Scrapy Land, Favorite Colors (this time more pretty shades of blue), Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes! and Simon Says Work It Wednesday, Something New.

Lots of pretty blues!  Stamp sets by Gina K Designs, Birthday Blessings and French Flair, both new to me as well as the Penny Black die, Border Edges, somewhat new to me, and all so beautiful!

The wordy stamp from French Flair stamped in Dove Grey ink to start my background.  Then I stamped the butterfly and vine images in Not Quite Navy ink on top of that.  I also found a ribbon in my stash to compliment the blue shades.  Jar, heart floral and sentiment stamped in Not Quite Navy and Black Licorice inks.  I filled my jar with Waterfall Stickles.

Folded flat to show off that pretty border die, isn't it glorious?  Thanks Barbara Campbell, peer pressure at it's finest.  lol

Oh and to toot my own horn just a bit, I am in the current CardMaker issue.....page 30.  I used the fabulous Stamper's Favorites set by Gina K Designs illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger.

And also a sneak peek above Tanya's head on page 5.....love that!

Love You

Good Morning!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Spinner Cards, Mod Squad Challenge Blog, Show Your Love, Scrapy Land, Favorite Colors--which as you know, change from card to cardSimon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes and Simon Says Work It Wednesday, Something New.

I used part of the Papertrey Ink Market Kit, Shaker And Sprinkles, the Scallop Rectangle die.  I got this like 2 days before I went on vacation and managed to play with it once, so it's still very new to me and I love it....love it so that I don't want to use any of those precious test tubes of glitter.  So precious!!!  I also used the PTI product Big Basics Love You die, which is offset and layered.   Spellbinders Hearts and Standard Circle dies.

The Designer Papers are included in the Kit.  They are bright, sunshiny and happy!  I love that they match my Gina K Designs card stock too!  I embossed my heart shape using the 2 love birds from a Sizzix Embossing Folder.  Thread.

A FUN card to make!

Thanks for stopping by, LOVE it when you do!

Sweet. Simple. Primroses.

Good afternoon!

A sweet little card to share with you this afternoon which will be entered into the Challenges at Power Poppy, Winter Blooms and Scrapy Land, Favorite Colors.

My favorite colors here, as they change form card to card, are all of the different shades of blues.  I used the Power Poppy Potted Primroses stamp set.  I just wanted to show a simple, sweet little image, this one was perfect to showcase.  I also used the single bloom as a ribbon topper, which was fussy cut out.  Images colored with Copic Markers.

My Designer Paper is by Pebbles, Family Ties.  My flowers were stamped on to a Spellbinders Majestic Labels 25 die cut, which was layered and backed with Fun Foam.  The Scalloped Rectangle Frame is by Papertrey Ink, from the Shakers And Sprinkles KitSwiss Dot Embossing Folder for texture.  I also colored my Seam Binding Ribbon.  Sakura Yellow and Orange Glitter and Glaze pens for accents.  I really just love the sweetness of this card.

Thanks for popping in!

Masked Heart Wreath

Good afternoon!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Masked Heart Wreath, Scrapy Land, Favorite Colors and Penny Black, Anything Goes!

Super fun technique that you could use with any shape.  Check out Melissa's video HERE!

I used a Spellbinders Hearts die to make my mask.  A perfect classic heart shape.  I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets; Day Dreamer, Garden Gate, Love & Marriage and Love Notes.  I stamped all of my floral images in inks in Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Rose Red, So Saffron and Tempting Turquoise.....some of my most favorite colors!  I also used the PTI Big Basics Love You die, which I cropped.

I also added a bit of sparkle using a Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Pen.  I added some Washi Tape to the inside of the card too.  I thought this would make a lovely Engagement card and popped it in the mail to a happy little couple!

Double D, Black And White

Good Morning!

*** Blog Candy Winner ***  Read to the end!

A brand new Challenge starts at The Double D Challenge Blog, and here is your Inspirational Tile:

And here's what I came up with:

I started with a Spellbinders Perfectly Pierced Classic Frame die cut and in Black Licorice ink I stamped my sentiment from the Beautiful Day stamp set by Altenew.  Found this gorgeous black and white Designer Paper in my stash.

My big, bold, beautiful butterfly is by Cheery Lynn, Small Lace Butterfly With Angel Wing (the angel wing is 'half' a die, you just fold your card stock in half and die cut the backing for the lace butterfly).  The angel wing was cut in black and the butterfly was cut in white.  Sheer Black Ribbon and Crystal Drops in Ebony for accents.

After cutting the butterfly I covered it in Dazzling Diamonds Glitter....man does this thing sparkle....like blinding!  So hard to capture in a photograph.....come on by, I'll put the kettle on!

This card will also be entered in to the Challenge at Penny Black, Anything Goes!

And to continue with the Double D Challenge Blog 1st Anniversary Celebration there will be 2 additional prizes awarded on the Double D Blog, so RUN right on over and join in the festivities!

Coffee Perks

Good Monday Morning!
Back on the Dies R Us Blog again to share a new card with you!

I don't know why I never had a coffee cup die before....I ADORE COFFEE!!!  I got this cute one, Coffee On The Go by Memory Box.  My front panel measures 4 x 5 inches.  Using a Die-Namics Rectangle die I created my frame.  I lined my Coffee Cup die up all around and cut out 6.  Layering the back of the frame with White card stock.  This die even cup even comes with a little cuff to decorate your cup with.

I added 2 additional Coffee Cups in Turquoise.  Each cup is decorated with a sweet little heart from the Homespun Heart die by Memory Box.  I also added a portion of the Heart String die by Penny Black to the top of my frame.  Sentiment by Great Impressions, Nicest Perks was stamped on Vellum in Tempting Turquoise ink and then heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.  I always heat emboss when stamping on Vellum.

Bring On The Bling

Good Morning!

I am helping my BFF Barbara Campbell host the Challenge
over at the NEW Mod Squad Challenge Blog, Bring On The Bling!!!

I am being Sponsored by

http://altenew.com/

I used the Wild Hibiscus stamp and matching Die sets and my sentiment is from the Beautiful Day set all from Altenew.  Die cutting out the flowers from water color paper, stamping in Versa Mark ink and heat embossing in Gold.  I then 'water colored' my pretty flower images using inks in Riding Hood Red and Garden Green.  I find this to be the easiest way for me to water color, regular ink pads and a water brush.

Using 2 Cross Stitched Rectangles dies I created my frame.  The inside cut was used as my base panel, which I splattered a bit of my ink on to.  My frame has been backed with Fun Foam to make it sturdy and to add some depth and dimension.  Adhering my pretty flowers to either side and  I then just added a wicked lot of BLING to accent my corners.  A third flower was cut and added to the inside for accent.  Base card stock is Dusty Rose.

Now run right over and check out all of the details and say hello to Barb!
