Good Day!  Just a short little post to hi-light some boxes I made for the STV Challenge.  There's still a little time left to play, you should go check it out!

I made these Boxes and Cones with my Mom in mind.  Her "kidnapping" commences this coming Saturday--can't wait!  Hope this gorgeous weather holds, although even a rainy day on Cape Cod is still pretty good!

Decorated with buttons and bling, Baker's twine and Dragon Flies.  I just need to find the right trinket, the prettiest piece of Bling to put in, something beachy, so we all can remember the day!  I was able to cut the cones out with my Cameo--man that little gizmo makes life so much easier.  I also have this program called Sure Cuts Alot 2, which enables me to cut svgs and cut files, almost ANYTHING, yes you read that right, anything I want.  I purchased this program several years ago, so I would NEVER have to buy a Cricut cartridge, which I never have, still only have the one that came with my machine, Don Juan.  Then a few years ago, Provo Craft sued the company making/distributing (not quite sure) this program and the price increased from $50 to $600.  I don't know what they are charging today, just happy that I made the investment back then.

And of course I had to make some matching cards.

Designer Paper:  Anna Griffin, Isabell Collection

These next 2 boxes will probably hold some kind of chocolates.  My Mom is very fond of Chocolate Covered Cherries from The Chatham Candy Manor.

My final 2 boxes were made for the Hubby's 50th Birthday.  My plans included a long weekend away, and a nice get together at the house for family and close friends, cocktails and appetizers.  Needless to say, we celebrated a week late with a small little teeny tiny luncheon for 6. It was all he would ALLOW me to do. So mild mannered and low key, this man of mine.   For his next major birthday I have already told him that there will be a lovely cocktail party, he can come or not!  :)  Men!!!

These were filled with mini Snickers, Andes, mints, lollipops, Marigold seeds, and scratch tickets.  It's hard to find something that everyone likes.    Designer Paper: American Crafts, Travel.

GKD Products:  Stamps; A Year Of Flowers2, All Occasion, Blossom, Dreams Take Flight, Shine On!, Designer Paper; Spring Parade.  Card Stock; Pure Luxury, Blue Raspberry, Sweet Mango, Bubble Gum.  Fibers;  Honey Mustard, Fresh Asparagus, Ocean Mist, Organza.

All Other Products:  SVG Cuts; handled box, cone ornaments, lacy ribbon border, Spring Parade cut files.  EK Success, Triple Butterfly Punch.  Doily, Rhinestones, Ribbon, Baker's Twine, Buttons, Copic Markers, Liquid Pearls, Inks; Stampin' Up! Garden Green, Memento Tuxedo Black, StazOn Blazing Red.  Copic Markers, Seed Beads, Sakura pens.

So much for a short little post.....how involved these Blogs become.  :)

Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday, enjoy!

Yup......April Showers.......3 days and counting!

Okay maybe I should be thankful that it is NOT snow, like I have heard from so many of you.  Eek!  Rain is good......good for my gardens and good for me to stay inside and play!  And that's exactly what I will be telling my Husband!  :)

I made this simple sweet card for the CASology week #41 Giggle Challenge:

It only measures 4.5" x 3.5" but I do love how it came out.  I always struggle with Clean And Simple cards, I LOVE to hide behind layers!  This card uses Gina K Products, Pure Luxury Card Stock, Jelly Bean Green and Ivory layering weight, the flower stamp is from the Shine On! set and the sentiment is from Birds And Blossoms, the Yellow Gingham Ribbon also came in the new Kit, Spring Parade.  Colored with Copic Markers and Sakura pens, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and some adhesive pearls to finish it off.  I think for a little card it really packs a Spring Punch!

My next card was made from the inspiration I drew from the Center Stage Alumni Blog Hop, Spring has Sprung over at Stamp TV.  If you haven't hopped, you should, it's a great way to bring some beautiful spring images and inspiration indoors, especially if you still have snow on the ground, or are experiencing a gray day outside.

Another smaller sized card, 4.25" x 4.25" square.  I popped the top tulip on 3D adhesives and outlined it using a Sakura Clear Star pen, to add more depth and dimension.  This card also uses many GKD products;  Pure Luxury Card Stock, Ocean Mist, Grass Green, and Ivory, stamp sets; A Year Of Flowers 2, and Spring Has Sprung.   Designer Paper from DCWV, Stack 7.   Spellbinders, Classic, Beaded and Scalloped Ovals, StazOn Teal Blue ink, turquoise rhinestone accent.

I would like to thank so many of you for leaving me such kind and encouraging comments.  I can only imagine how lonely it would be out here on the World Wide Web (remember when we used to call it that?  lol)  without you!   I hope you continue to enjoy what I post......tell me what you'd like to see, tell me what you hate.  I did get rid of that "notification" thingie, should make your life easier.  Okay......honestly, I didn't even know it was even there, but now it's gone.  (thanks Regina).

In the near future I hope to post some other crafts I will be attempting, maybe a give-away or two, that would be FUN!

So, thanks for joining me.....I do appreciate it!

Celebrations!

My first card is for Mother's Day, which is fast approaching. This year my Mom's birthday actually falls on Mother's Day, so my daughter and I are "kidnapping" her and celebrating a "You Day"......we told her she can choose anything she would like to do all day Saturday (as Sunday, her BIG Day, we have a family Wedding Shower) and we will do it.   We'll all be on Cape Cod so the possibilities are endless.  We'll probably start the day by driving out to P'Town and seeing the sights, hot coffees in hand, a leisurely lunch at some local haunt with water view dining, and perhaps ice cream for dinner.  My Mother is all about having ice cream for ANY meal.....although I have never seen her have it for breakfast......yet.  :)  I'll report back on that afterwards!

For this card I used the Stampin' Up! set, Amazing Family.

I created it for the JUGS #185 Color Challenge using the colors So Saffron, Pretty In Pink, Regal Rose, & Certainly Celery. Spellbinders; Standard Large Circles & Heart Circles.  Designer Paper is from DCWV; Fresh Floral.  GKD Products; Pure Luxury Card Stock; Lemon Drop, Creme De Menthe, Innocent Pink  Organza Ribbon.  Stampin' Up! Cherry Cobbler Ink.  Assorted Pearl Adhesives.

My next card was created for the Color Me Creative Challenge #66 All About Reds.

GKD Products;  Pure Luxury Card Stock; Black Onyx & White.  A Year Of Flowers 2, and Blossom.  Black and White Gingham Ribbon.  Black Tuxedo Memento ink, various red Copic Markers, adhesive rhinestones.

My final 2 cards are for upcoming family weddings, so exciting!  Lots of showers, lots of weddings, fun family celebrations!!!  We are very lucky!  They were created for the Timeless Tuesday #217 Wedded Bliss Challenge.

I may have gone a little "Pearl Happy" on these cards, but it's such an easy way to dress up a card.  Inkadinkadoo On Your Wedding Day stamp set.  Images colored with various Copic markers.  Sentiment stamped with StazOn Dove Grey ink.  Sakura Clear Star, Pink and Silver pens.  GKD Products; Base card stock, Moon Lit Fog, Innocent Pink Organza Ribbon, Sentiment Stamp; Pleasant Plurals.  Layering weight card stock, black, white, silver by American Crafts.

The second wedding card uses the Happy Couple stamp by Stampendous V126.  Sentiment by All Night Media, 487DO4.  Memento Tuxedo Black ink, grey and pink Copic Markers, Sakura Clear Star and Silver pens.  Spellbinders;  Standard Circles, Heart Circles, Labels 8.  GKD Products;  Pure Luxury Card Stock, Moonlight Fog, Innocent Pink Organza Ribbon.  Assorted pearl adhesives.

Welcome To The Beach......My Favorite Place.......

Good Day!

This is my very first post on my very first blog......welcome!  (I know it's a little echo-y in here, but I hope that all changes in the coming months)  I'd like to share with you the fun I find in creating and crafting.  It brings me such joy to create items, whether they be stained glass, jewelry, polymer clay items, or my latest passion, card making, for family, friends, or just myself.

Even though the calendar clearly states it is Spring, Mother Nature hasn't seemed to have caught on just yet here in the Northeast!  I did buy some pansies today and am in a gardening/flower kind of mood.  I have been pouring over a great little book by Melanie Muenchinger, A Year Of Flowers.  Just perfect for drawing some floral inspiration from.

The following 4 cards all use stamp sets by Gina K Designs

So without further ado, let's look at some floral cards!

A Year Of Flowers 2  &  Buds & Vases

A Year Of Flowers 2

Birds And Blossoms   &  Basket Blessings

A Year Of Flowers 2  &  Lacy Borders
Thanks for joining me, more to come in the following days!

Enjoy~~

***  I created this post at the beginning of the week, and then all hell broke loose!  I am thankful to say all of my family is safe and sound.  My heart goes out to all of the families that weren't so lucky.  Today (Saturday April 20th) is the dawn of a new day, a better day, a healing day.  ***
