Baby # 2

Another day, another baby!  lol  How fun for all the new Mommies and new Nanas.....

Today's card will be entered into 2 Challenges;

Poppy Sketch With A Pop Of Pattern, Polka Dots.

And the Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes.

I used neutral colors as no one knows what this beautiful young woman is having.  SURPRISE!!!  Again I used the sentiment from Mommy To Be Diva and the cute little basket topper images are from the Basket Additions #2 set, both available at Gina K Designs.  I used the little flag die from My Favorite Things, Blue Prints #12Dots and Stripes Designer paper by American Crafts.  An EK Success border punch.  And using a small heart punch I glued 6 layers of card stock together to make a nice chipboard heart accent, topped with the polka dot DP.  Added a little of Canary Yellow Baker's Twine and a sparkly green gemstone.  I also added a bit of Stickles in green, yellow and pink for accents.  All in all I am quite happy with the way this very neutral baby card came out.  Hope the new Mommy to be enjoys it as well.

Thanks for coming by.....up next.....more baby cards?!?!  Tune in to find out!

Enjoy~~

The Year Of Babies

Good Afternoon!  Man oh man, what another glorious day here on Cape Cod.....keep em' coming Mother Nature......pleaseandthankyou!

Today's card will be entered into the following Challenges:

StampTV Stamp, Stamp, Stamp, to make your own background, hosted by my dear friend Sharyn Polesel.

Simon Says Monday  I Ought To Use This More, I used enamel brads and pretty pleated ribbon.

My Favorite Things, Sketch Challenge, which I rotated to the left.

Last year we had several weddings and this year there are several new babies on the way or already here.  How wonderful!!!

And here is my first baby card:

I used the small safety pin stamp from a Gina K Designs set, Mommy To Be Diva, to create my background.   This little set has such wonderful sentiments, Congratulations, Mommy To Be, and Look At You Glow, just perfect to help celebrate the new mommy!  Image colored with Copic Markers.  I added some random enamel brads, which I tend to save like "good China"  You know what I mean, right???  And of course I do hoard that fabulous ribbon....but why?  It always looks so lovely on a project.  I will TRY to use my "good China" more!  lol

I will have at least one more baby card for you this week.  But, I think there are more to be made, just have not gotten the word as yet.  :)

Hope you all have a HAPPY day!

Thanks for popping in, appreciate you doing so.

I used 3 sets of stamps from Gina K Designs, One In A Million, Stamper's Favorites, and Up And Away.  I stamped the flowers image 3 times, made a mask to do so.  All flowers were colored with Copic Markers, I tried to match the background Designer Paper.  Each flower center has a dot of Liquid Pearls.  A little ribbon, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder and a itty bitty tag for the sentiment.  This card will be mailed off to Gina's Mom, Ruth, who is recuperating after a nasty fall.

Thanks for stopping by.

Masculine Happy Birthday

Hello Again!  I was lucky enough to make a bunch of cards lately, so relaxing, so therapeutic, I just love it!!! Know what I mean???  Bet you do!

Today's card was made for the Poppy Sketch #6 Challenge, with a pop of pattern, Harlequin.

And here is my card:

The sentiment is from Gina K Designs, Birthday Duo.  A little texture, a little Harlequin, a little button and twine, and some little banners.  Ta Da!

This card came together in no time at all, but it was still soothing to be in the craft room, which is an utter mess.  Blah.  I will clean it tomorrow and perhaps tomorrow night I will create a little something-something too!

Hope you all have a fantastic day!

Enjoy~~

Mmmm Cupcakes

Hello, have a sweet tooth?  I am trying to stay away from such goodies, BUT at least I can still color them!

Today's card is for the CMC Challenge, Anything Goes.

I didn't really need a feminine birthday card, but I really did want cupcakes!  lol  Again, using a Flourishes stamp set, Lots Of Thoughts, colored with Copic markers.  The banners were made using a die from my MFT Blue Prints #12 set, kind of love those little flags! I also used the Spellbinders Scalloped Circle dies for the sentiment.  A little ribbon and some Stickles on the flames and this card is complete.

Make A Wish!!!

May you have something sweet today.....a kind word, a pretty view, or some confection!  ;)

Glad you came by!

I'm Here For You

Good Monday Morning!  Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Today's card is for the MFT Sketch #180.

If you're ever stuck for a layout, just head on over to My Favorite Things Blog, they'll hook you up with some fantastic sketches....love em'!

I used the Anemones stamp set from Flourishes.  Pretty flowers to color.  Some added background texture, using a Swiss Dots embossing folder.  And the Sketch layout of course.  Added 2 adhesive pearls colored with Copic Markers to match the color palette and then I added a ton of Stickles to the center of each flower.  Done.  That's all she wrote!  My Nana used to say that all the time when we would play Cribbage together.  She had so many different, quirky sayings, Wouldn't That Frost Your Grommets?, and after asking for so many things at once she would always reply, How Are You Fixed For Spit?....so funny!

Okay, that is it for this short and sweet post, hope your Monday is a good one!

Enjoy~~

A Happy Heart

Good Afternoon!

What an awesome day, started with a lovely beach walk and then spent about 4 hours playing in my gardens.  I think I got most of the weeds, why are they not on all the bunnies' menus?  That would make life so much easier!

Today's card is for the CASology Challenge # 99, Anniversary.

I used 5 different colors of Washi Tape and made a little background on white card stock.  Using my Spellbinder's heart die I cut 6 pieces of card stock and glued them on top of each other.  Then I wrapped the Washi Tape around the heart, making sure I kept the colors in the same position.  Using pop dots I adhered the heart to the base.  The sentiment is from the Flourishes set, Roses Are Red.  Very Clean, very Simple....not much more to say about this creation.  lol

Hope you all enjoyed this gorgeous Father's Day.  I know my Dad is looking down at me today, I miss him each and everyday!  XOXO

Thanks for popping in.

In The Ocean

Good Morning!  And what a 'swampy' morning it is.  Damp and foggy, not the gardening day I had hoped for.

Today's card (a long time coming it seems) will be entered in to the Mod Squad Blog Challenge, In The Ocean Or On The Sea, hosted by my dear friend, Karen Hightower!  A Challenge right up my alley, or actually right down my beach!  ;)

I was inspired from the Pinterest site, tons of this style card over there, LOVE the concept!

Sponged blue and green inks on a white background to create the sea.  The image stamps are from the By The Tide set from Stampin' Up!  The sentiment is from a Gina K Designs set, Masculine Tags.  I tore different sizes of Sand and Kraft card stock to create the ocean bottom.   I also added a bit of Stickles on the scales of the fish to bring it to life, as well as some adhesive pearls to add the air bubbles.    A bit of twine and the ocean scene is complete.  Like I said, LOVE the concept!  I think my Father In Law will too!  Fingers crossed!

It feels great to be back in the craft room, even if it is only for a limited time.  Work is super busy (hurray!) the gardens are growing wild, but all in all it has been a good Spring for me.  My Mom is LOVING her new digs and has so many new friends and is happy, happy, HAPPY!  I see her all the time and am grateful for that!  Life is good, very, very, good.....Knock On Wood!

Thanks so much for popping in, appreciate you doing so, even when I am not here.  lol

Enjoy~~

Oh and HAPPY 200th post to me!  :)

Number 26

Happy Anniversary!!!  Well that's the Challenge Lee is hosting over at the The Mod Squad Blog, create an anniversary card.  Ours is July 22nd and we will be celebrating our 26th year!  Even after all these years he still knows he is such a lucky man.....yup that's right....I remind him ALL the time!  Isn't that my wifely duty?  lol

I used the Roses Are Red stamp set from Flourishes, colored with Copic Markers in pinks.  lol   Polka Dotted designer papers, Spellbinders Classic and Scalloped Circle dies, a few adhesive pearls and some really pretty lace I found in my stash which has hearts on it, very pretty!

I may redo the sentiment in black as this pink is very light.....can you read it?

Hope you all have a happy Saturday!  Thanks for peeking in!

Bleach It Is

Good Afternoon!  Although I love bleach, I use it on a daily basis, I was never too fond of it in the craft room.  The Challenge over at Stamp TV is to use the bleaching technique.  I chose to "color" my flower and not use bleach as an ink pad.  I am also entering this card into the My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge.

Here's what I came up with!

A very simple card.  Using the flower from the Gina K DesignsWarm Spring Wishes stamp set,  I heat embossed it with very fine black embossing powder and then 'colored' it with bleach.   I used the Spellbinders dies, Lacy and Scalloped Circles, as well as the large circle die from My Favorite Things, Blueprints #12.  Designer Paper is also from GKD, Sunshiny Day.  Added a button and some Baker's Twine and it is complete.  Short, sweet and simple.

Thanks so much for popping in.

Enjoy~~

Red, White, And Blue!

Hello!  It's been over 2 weeks since I made a card or a Blog Post!  Yikes!  I have been busy with work, gardening, and best of all my Mom moved to my town....I am over the moon, to say the least!  We have been spending a lot of good quality time together and setting up her new digs which are beautiful!  I am such a lucky daughter!

And now for my latest card.  I will be entering this into the Mod Squad Blog Challenge, to use red, white, and blue.

I used several dies from My Favorite Things, the Die-Namics Blueprints #12 set and an inexpensive clear dollar stamp.  I added punched out stars and thin ribbon in red, white, and blue and some adhesive pearls.  It's kind of clean, it's kind of simple.....BUT it's good to be back in the craft room playing with paper and ink!  YAY!

Hope you all have been doing well, I have a lot to look at on your blogs, bet you have been making some gorgeous creations!

Thanks so much for popping in, I really, really appreciate you doing so!!!

Enjoy~~
