Spooky Halloween Tree

Good Monday Morning, back on the Dies R Us Blog

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

This card will also be entered in the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

Today I have another  Halloween card to share with you!

I used this beautiful Tree Of Life die by Cheery Lynn.  I knew if I cut it out in black glitter card stock I could make it spooky enough for a Halloween card.  I added many googly eyes to make it a bit more spooky too......no matter where you look it's staring back at you.....CREEPY!

The corner spider web is also by Cheery Lynn, it's one of 3 different dies in the Lace Corner Deco H set.  My little glittery pumpkin is by Memory Box, Plump Pumpkin.  I was going to draw a mustache on him to make him appear a bit more sinister, but my drawing skills are not that great.  lol   Sentiment heat embossed in black embossing powder.

I also made a spider....or is it an ant....by gluing  2 different sized adhesive pearls on top of my web.

Here's what I used:

Cheery Lynn
Tree Of Life

Cheery Lynn
Lace Corner Deco H

Memory Box
Plump Pumpkin

Thanks for popping in!

Enjoy~~

So Very Thankful

Hello again!

This card will be entered into the following Challenges; Cheery Lynn, Thank You, Simon Says Monday, Autumn and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

*** after photographing I did notice that wonky ribbon--it's all fixed now.

I used the Gina K Designs stamp set, Botanical Dreams, an oldie but a goodie for sure!  Just look at that gorgeous leaf stamp!  I water colored my leaves and background and then splattered some of the ink on too.  MFT Dotted Scallop Border die.  Thin (wonky) ribbon and Brads for accents.

Leaf die cuts by Cheery Lynn, Fall Leaves 8....they are fantastic and the texture on them is beautiful!  Thin Jute Twine to tie them all together.

Thanks for falling in......

Enjoy~~

Thinking Of You

Good Morning!

I am entering the Challenge at Papertrey Ink, Layered Dry Brushing and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

I am sure my 'dry brushing' was wetter than needed, but I still like how they came out.

I created my background using craft paints in White, Yellow and Green.  I think I was a bit too heavy handed with it all, but am still pleased with how the backgrounds did come out.  I also added a strip of texture using a Darice Embossing Folder.  The texture really shows up the different layers and colors of the painting.

I used the pretty stamp set from PTI, Botanical Blocks III.  I heat embossed my images in White Embossing Powder.  Then proceeded to water color the pretty flowers.  Sentiment form Through The Trees, stamped in Black Licorice ink.  Candy Dots and Sheer Ribbon accents.  EK Success Punch.

I created this second card in the very same manner.

These floral images are really beautiful and lovely.

Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy~~

Good Afternoon!

I created a Halloween card to enter into the Challenges at Scrapy Land, Halloween and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

I guess I was bored with making traditional Halloween cards and decided to do something a bit different.  Hope you like it.

I used the MFT dies; Stitched Traditional Tags and Party Banner.  Paper Smooches dies; Bird Houses and Stitched Hills.  Impression Obsession Birds die.  Sentiment from Papertrey Ink, Friendship Jar Fall FillersPerfect Plum ink.

Halloween Designer Papers as well as Glitter Papers in Purple and Orange.  Orange Gingham Ribbon, Baker's Twine, and Stickles for accents.

The birds are now Ravens and in 5 weeks they will be Red Cardinals lol  Gotta love that!!!

Thanks for coming by!

Happy Halloween Spider

Good Monday Morning, on the Dies R Us Blog today!

Today I have a Halloween card to share with you!

I used the Large Madison Window die by Poppystamps.  My sentiment was stamped on to the 'window box' in Black Licorice ink.  I used the Birch Trio by Memory Box for my outdoor view, which I cropped to fit in the window.

The corner spider web is from Cheery Lynn, Lace Corner Deco H, which has 3 different corner dies to choose from, very economical!

The little spider hanging from  the window cross bar is actually part of a pumpkin die.  It's the foliage portion of the Plump Pumpkin by Memory Box.  I had just used it on another card and thought HEY, if I cut that out in black glitter paper I can surely make it look like a spider.  And I think it does.  And the more I look at it the more it looks like I could use it as a bat too!  lol  I guess that is thinking outside the box.....the Memory Box.

A little Copic Marker colored seam binding ribbon, Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Pen and Halloween Designer Papers for accents.

I will be entering this card in the Challenge at Scrapy Land, Halloween.

Here's what I used:

Poppystamps
Large Madison Window

Memory Box
Birch Trio

Cheery Lynn
Lace Corner Deco H

Memory Box
Plump Pumpkin

Thanks for popping in!

Enjoy~~

Heartfelt Sympathy

Hello again!

This card will be entered into the Challenge at Papertrey Ink, Die Cut Stencil.

Papertrey Ink products; Hexagon die, Through The Trees stamp set and Flower Favorites, stamp and die sets.  I only used a portion of the Hexagon die and sponged in Frost White ink over my Kraft card stock base.  Then cutting the Hexagon die from more Kraft card stock I trimmed it down to create a full hexagon panel when placed up against the stenciled side.  I really love how that came out.  Topped the 'cut line' with a thin white ribbon and a pretty sparkly white ribbon too.

Cut and stamped the pretty flowers, inks in Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, Timber Brown and Wild Wasabi.  Sentiment stamped in Black Licorice.  I added texture to the Kraft focal panel using a Honeycomb Embossing Folder.   Topped with my flowers  and sentiment and more sparkly ribbon.  I also added Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to the center of the flowers.  That sparkle really ties in well with my wide ribbon.

Thankfully I do not need a sympathy card just yet.  They are the hardest to make but the most important to send.  It's good to have some on hand.

Thanks for coming by!

Enjoy~~

Card Maker Publication

I am so HAPPY and thrilled to let you all know that I have been published in Card Maker Magazine....WHAHOO!!!

Winter 2016

Page 28 & 29

This is the card they published.

This is what I originally submitted.  They had me make a few changes.  I think they like things a little more simpler, so that anyone could try and CASE using the supplies they already own.

And this was my final submission.

Finally selecting this to print.

I used the Autumn Beauty and Heartfelt stamp sets by Gina K Designs.  Poppy Stamps Verona Flourish die and MFT Stitched Traditional Tags die.

The wine tag is very easy to make.  Cut card stock to 2 3/4 x 7 inches, score at 4 1/2 inches.  Using a Spellbinders Standard Circle die cut opening for wine bottle.  Decorate in any manner.  These make great additions to bottles of Champagne for birthdays and such.

What a FUN process!  Card Maker is so good to return your projects AND send you a copy of the magazine, which I already subscribe too.....but now I can be 'that dork' and frame it all!  lol  I may have to get a red velvet rope and spotlight.

Thanks so much for coming by and sharing my news!

Enjoy~~

Graciellie Design Fall Fest Blog Hop

Welcome to day of our Fall Fest blog hop. This month Graciellie Design is celebrating with lots of giveaways, sales and inspiration! Each day you'll have the chance to win a digital stamp set of your choice from Graciellie Design Digital Shop following our blog hops. We've prepared a bunch of beautiful projects for your crafty inspiration so we invite you to join the fun.

If you haven't joined our blog hop for day 1 or day 2, make sure to visit Graciellie's Blog and start from there.

I chose to play with the beautiful Elegant Greetings Digital Stamp Set.  Isn't it gorgeous?  It's just perfect for all of my Cape Cod friends!

I wanted a Fall look for this card.  I printed my image and sentiment on to water color paper and then began 'painting' uses Distress Inks in; Antique Linen, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemon and Wild Honey.  I also used a bit of Pear Pizzazz ink for the stem.  I really love the Antique Vintage flavor and feel I achieved.

I added a wee bit of very thin Brown ribbon.  The striped Designer Paper is Black and adds to the vintage vibe.  The focal panel was layered on Brown and Ivory card stock with a card base of Brown as well.  My corner die is by Cheery Lynn, Lace Corner Deco H which I cut from a Bronze Glitter Paper.

I didn't want to add anymore accents as I really just wanted this beautiful bloom to shine all on it's own!  I hardly ever use digis', I don't know why....they really are amazing and you can resize and manipulate them like crazy making for many options!

In case you have missed any days in this Fabulous Fall Fest Blog Hop here's all the info you'll need!  So grab a beverage of your choice and sit back and enjoy the show!

Happy Birthday Floral

On the Dies R Us Blog today!

Today I have a Birthday card to share with you!

My card uses a beautiful Happy Birthday die from PTI, but there are a couple in the Dies R Us Store that would work really well with this design.

OR

I ran my white base card stock through my Big Shot using a Swiss Dots Embossing folder to add texture.  And then I cut out the center with a Die-Namics Stitched Rectangle die.

Another comparable choice would be the Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Rectangles

I layered my Happy Birthday die 3 times in black, green and white card stocks.  By adding the black on the base it POPS off of the pretty pink Designer Paper.  Plus it adds a little bit more oomph!

I really have fallen in love with this Dogwood Blossom Corner by Poppystamps.  It's so delicate and beautiful!  I cut it once from green card stock and then again in pink, snipping the blossoms off and  layering them right on to the green.  Again, adding a bit more oomph.

Thanks for popping in!

Enjoy~~
