Sweet Friend

Back again on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog

I have a sweet little floral card to share with you today.

I used the Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Tags and stamped my Hydrangea image and sentiment in Raven Black ink, by Gina K Designs, Heartfelt Hydrangea
Copic Markers for coloring.
Sakura Glaze Pen for flower centers.  My background card stock uses the Circle Link Embossing Folder.  Designer Papers by My Minds Eye and Echo Park.

I used the Penny Black Border Edgers to create a bit of interest on the right side of my card.  This particular die is unavailable at this time, beautiful dies move in and out of the Dies R Us Store so quickly, so if you see something you like BUY IT!  lol  There are more to choose from, here are a few pretty Border Dies.  I added Adhesive Pearls to the center of the die cut flowers, which were colored with Copic Markers. Oops and now I notice that bottom one fell off...don't you just hate that?!?!  It will be fixed prior to mailing!  ;)

30th Anniversary

Well we made it lol  On Sunday we celebrated our 30th anniversary.  It's kind of weird to think that we have been married for that long, it really went by in a blink of an eye.  But here we are, happy and content.  AND the kids and Penny and Hank are coming for a visit this weekend. We are blessed!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at;  Stamp TV, You Bet Your Sweet AcetateSimon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes and Scrapy Land #94, Anything Goes.

I took a piece of packaging and used it as my acetate.  I save all of my packaging for Shaker cards so I have plenty on hand for Acetate Challenges.  I then embossed it using a Hearts Embossing Folder, when done it really looks beautiful.  I then cut a panel from the front of my card base using a Tutti Designs Cross Stitched Rectangle die.  My frame was constructed using Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8 die and the Tutti Rectangle die.

Memory Box Classic Stitched Heart Rings dies.

Inside I heat embossed in White the Gina K Designs stamps;
True Love, Wetlands, Wreath Builder and You Get Me.
I also added a few of the little heart die cuts from Memory Box Homespun Heart.

Added a matching envelope.
Lots of Pearls, 50 in all, 30 was not enough.
The 30th year is Pearl.

Then I created a Shadow Box.  I did not have an Oyster stamp so I used actual Oyster Shells.  My Brother In Law has an Oyster Farm in the next town over, how handy.....too bad I don't enjoy them, but the rest of my family does.  I'll let you know when I convince him to be a Lobster Man lol

I painted the shells using White Craft Paint and then brushed on a bit of glitter for some sparkle and shine.  Gina K Designs Silver Embossing Powder and Mistletoe Memories, Wealth Of Wishes and Simple Numbers stamp sets.  Lots of Pearls added, some pretty lace, rose ribbon and Rhinestone Swirls.  My 'seaweed' was created using the Memory Box Woodland die.  My scallop shell is by Ellen Hutson, Mermaid's Tail die set.

I purchased that pretty Pearl Embossed Designer Paper at Hobby Lobby.  My daughter took me to a brand new one near her home, I must say I was not that impressed. Yes, they have lots and lots of stuff, but I felt they had too much of a variety, but I think there were only 3-4 aisles of paper crafting supplies.  Maybe if they focused a bit more on each section and not try to do it all, I would have been more impressed.  Oh, plus they had Halloween and Christmas all up....big turn off in July lol

Here it is in the Shadow Box, but it's hard to see all of the pretty details.

In keeping with the Pearl theme I also ordered this gorgeous wall planter, it was the closest thing I could come to an Oyster....lol....I quite love it and can not wait for it's arrival!

Thanks for popping by.

Love it when you do!

Enjoy~~

Mermaid Wishes And Star Fish Kisses

Good Morning!
Back again on the Dies R Us Blog.

Check out my latest Shaker card!

I found this wonderful  Cheapo Dies Mermaid die in the Dies R Us Store.
She is magical AND affordable!

Cheapo Dies - Mermaid

And she complimented these Frantic Stamper Beach Comber shell dies beautifully.

Frantic Stamper - Dies - Beach Comber Icons

Here's how I created her:

I cut all the dies from White card stock.

All cuts were colored with Copic Markers.

Adding Stickles for lots of sparkle and shine, which can be found in the Dies R Us Store.

Using Spellbinders dies in Standard and Lacy Circles I cut my layers to create the Shaker portion of my card.  Teal Backdrop, White Insert, Fun Foam Frame, Acetate, Teal Frame.

My ocean background was created by sponging Oxide Inks on to White card stock.
I also added water drops to lift some of the ink and then splattered White Craft Paint using and old toothbrush.  I assembled my Shaker part and added glitter and sequins in all shades of Blues and Greens.  Adding my shells as a border below my Shaker.

Using the Best Glue Ever I placed my beautiful Mermaid on the Acetate.  Adding Adhesive Pearls to my Mermaid, creating a necklace and waistline and a few on the card base and shell border.

Inside Shell Border stamped in Bermuda Bay ink.
Gifts From The Sea by Gina K Designs.

Lots of dimension!

She is magical!

This card will also be entered into the following Challenges:

Simon Says Wednesday, Use A Die Or A Punch
Simon Says Work It Wednesday, The Great Outdoors
Scrapy Land, Anything Goes

Here's what I used:
