Happy Fall Y'All

I am back with one more card today!

This card will be entered into the Mod Squad Blog, A Fruitful Harvest, and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes.  I really had a fun time making this card, I am just so ready for Fall!

Gina K Designs stamp sets, Autumn Beauty and Heartfelt.  Pumpkins colored with Copic Markers.  Martha Stewart Border Punch.  Baker's Twine.  Adhesive Pearls colored with Copic Markers.  Designer Papers by Teresa Collins, World Traveler and My Mind's Eye, Mabel Papers.  The focal panel is popped up on 3D pop dots.  And of course my matching envelope.

Thanks for stopping by.

Enjoy~~

Witch Kraft

Good Morning!  Just made my 6 a.m. grocery run, hopefully that will be the last of this season!  Fingers crossed!

Today's card is for the Challenges at MFT, Sketch and for Simon Says Monday, Witch Kraft.

And here is my card:

I did very little stamping here, just the silhouette of the witch and the circle of stars, stamp set from Gina K Designs, Wicked.   I cut strips of DCWV Designer Paper, Midnight Spell to create the diagonal borders.  Using a Spellbinders Circle die I cut out the shape in the lower right corner and backed it with some sparkly yellow card stock.  Swirls Embossing Folder.  Then I took my trusty old toothbrush and loaded it up with orange craft paint and splattered it all over it.

And of course what's a card without a matching envelope?  Still making them!  :)

And that's all she wrote!

I trust the beginning of your long weekend is going well, so far so good here!

Enjoy~~

Happy Fall Birthday!

Good afternoon.  Such a long work week and extremely long work day, but now I have 3 full days off!  I am locking my doors and pulling the blinds.  lol  No, not really, but close.

Today's card is for the Mix It Up Monday Challenge over at Stamp TV, Fall Birthday and for the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, Anything Goes.

I used 2 stamps set from Gina K Designs, Falling For You and Sew Pretty.  The ink squares were made by a masking technique and then I just stamped the leaf over the color, turning it to mimic a falling leaf.  I also added 2 more leaves to the sentiment, popping one up on 3 dimensional dots.  I inked the embossing folder before running the card stock through the Cuttlebug, I like the uneven look to the color.  And of course, I made another envelope, I am addicted!  (and loving them!)

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Hubby is making some of his fabulous buffalo wings and I am the kind of wife that will let him!  lol  Time for another beverage!

Enjoy~~

mmmmm and a cupcake

Hello again!  Time for something sweet to go with that cup of coffee!

This card will be entered into the MFT Sketch Challenge.

I must say I am getting a lot of mileage out of these Designer Papers, A Perfect Summer, from Echo Park.  (envelope is not made from these)  The stamp set is Lots Of Thoughts, by Flourishes.  Image colored with Copic Markers.  Several Sakura Glitter pens used to add some sparkle.   Some Baker's Twine to decorate the Spellbinders Lacy Circle die and an enamel brad.  I really like this color combo, nice and bright and fresh.  And yes, that is another matching envelope.  lol

I am also decorating the inside of every card I make.  Just finishes it all off so nicely.

A little bit of sparkle, a little bit of shine!

I made some home made banana bread and peanut butter cookies this morning, but now I really want a sweet, sugary cupcake.....and a cup of coffee.....oh man!!!

Thanks for coming by.

Enjoy~~

mmmmm coffee

It's one of my best friends!  True story!  lol

Today's card is Clean And Simple creation.  It will be entered into the Less Is More Sketch Challenge and the CASology Challenge, Java......mmmmm!

I used the Grab A Cup stamp set from Flourishes.....poor, poor, Flourishes.  :(  Image colored with Copic Markers and a little Prismatic Glitter, Frozen, added to the creamy coffee design.  YUM!

I don't think there is much more to say about this CAS card....other than I don't hate it!  Ha, that could be a first!

Hope you all have a wonderful day, it is GLORIOUS here!

Enjoy~~

It's Just A Little Fishy

Hello my sweet peeps.  Back again with another coastal inspired card.  This time I went for a masculine look with NO layers.....can you believe it?  lol

This card will also be entered into the Mod Squad Blog, Coastal Inspirations, and the Simon Says Monday, Anything Goes

Instead of using my beloved paper layers, I chose to make a collage style card, it actually looks like it has much more than a card base.  The stamp set is from Stampin' Up!, By The Tide.   I used several different shades of blue and green inks, and just stamped all over.  Then using blue and green craft paint I splattered them all over the card base.

I did add a bit of Silver Stickles for the fish scales.  Nothing fancy, no frills, just a solid look for a masculine card.  Oh and yes, I did make another envelope, love the plaid and dots, the mixture looks great!

Thanks again for stopping by, I really appreciate you doing so!

Enjoy~~

Always Thinking Of You

Good Saturday Morning!  I believe it is my last work Saturday of the Season....WHAHOO!  I have survived!  It is a miracle!  lol

I have been able to sneak into the craft room quite a bit this Summer Season so I am very happy about that!

Today's card is another Beach inspired card, actually I perused Pinterest for this particular design.

I masked off a strip of the Pure Luxury White card base and sponged my different colors of ink, to create sand, sea, sun, and sky.....just a little taste.  I added some Distressed Stickles to create some texture to the sand, some awesome Prismatic Glitter, 'Frozen', by Gina K Designs, the stamp set is also available there, By The Tide 2.  The shell dies are from CuttleBug.  I stamped the sentiment and then 'tossed' on some sequins and little jute twine to complete the look.   And last but not least, I made a matching envelope.  I am addicted to making these, so fun, so easy!

I wish you could see how much that Prismatic Glitter really sparkles and shines.....it's blinding!

This card will be entered into the Mod Squad Blog, Coastal Inspirations and the Simon Says Monday, Anything Goes.

May all of your summer days include some fresh salty air!

Thanks for coming by.

Enjoy~~

Coastal Inspiration

I am lucky enough to see it and be inspired by it everyday!  I am blessed!

Without further ado, here is my card:

I finally used this awesome stamp, Hope Anchors, from Neat And Tangled.  I LOVE it!!!  It's one complete stamp so no messing up the placement of image vs. sentiment, great right?  I used Stampin' Up! Night Of Navy Ink.  Some wonderful red plaid Designer Paper from Echo Park, A Perfect Summer.  Some Baker's Twine, a corner punch, and a few randomly 'tossed' sequins.  I also made a matching envelope--yes I am loving these!

I've also been getting in the habit of really decorating the insides of my cards, I think it adds so much and really just gives it a nice finishing touch......don't you agree?  I've never really been one to stamp an inside sentiment, I prefer writing a heartfelt note, so this design works for me.   The anchor die is by QuicKutz, super cute and matches perfectly, and then I just took some of the same gorgeous red plaid DP and made a top border using a Martha Stewart punch and I also used the left over little strip of red plaid to jazz up the bottom. Ta Da!

This card will be entered into the following Challenges:

Poppy Sketch # 11  With A Pop Of Color

Mod Squad Blog  Coastal Inspiration

Simon Says Monday  Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by......Anchors Away!  ;)

Enjoy~~

Tropical Summer

Good Monday Morning!

Today's card is a Tropical Vacation!  (don't I wish!)

I used the Sketch from the #189 Challenge at MFT.

I will also be entering my card into the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, Summer and the Curtain Call  Challenge, Tropical Trip.

And here is my card:

I used the stamp set, Beach Life, from Flourishes.  The Designer Papers are from Echo Park, A Perfect Summer.....aren't they all?  Spellbinders Classic and Scalloped Circle Dies, Die-Namics Mini Tabs Foursome, from MFT, and a Corner Tab punch.  Adhesive Rhinestones, a little bit of Stickles for the beach sand and some small brown beads glued on the palm trees as coconuts.  Ahhhh can you smell the salty air, do you feel that cool refreshing breeze?  May all your summer days be like this!  The ribbon was white and I colored it with an Orange Copic Marker.  I also made a matching envelope, may be making more of these for my cards, they are quite a lovely accent!

Enjoy The Sunshine!

Masculine Birthday By The Tide

Good Afternoon!  I am happy to say I have found my beloved layers!  Yay!

This card will be entered into the Challenge at Mod Squad Blog, Masculine Birthday.

The coral/seaweed and fish images are from Stampin' Up, By The Tide, and the sentiment is from the  Gina K Designs set, Follow Your Dreams.  The Designer Papers are Nicole Brand, available at A C Moore, 8 sheets, 6 assorted designs for either $1 or $2, I forget.  This 'flavor' is Funky Spice.  I used a wide piece of burlap ribbon and some Copic colored adhesive pearls for accent, as well as a touch of Stickles for the fish's scales.  Spellbinders Classic and Scalloped Circle Dies.  I decided to also create a matching envelope for this 5.5" square card.

It's great to be working with layers again, those CAS cards are crazy!  lol

Thanks for popping by......back to a busy work week tomorrow.

Enjoy~~

CAS 5

I think this may be my last CAS for sometime.....I think!  lol

This will also be entered into the Less Is More Challenge, Foliage.

Using a Spellbinders die that I centered onto the card stock I sponged some green ink directly to the card stock base.  Using Stazon Timber Brown Ink I stamped the leaf image from Tropical Flowers and the sentiment from All Occasion Tags, both from Gina K Designs.

I think these CAS cards will be great for my Mom, but I think I need to get back to my layers and layers and lots of embellishments, aye?  lol

Thanks for popping in!

Enjoy~~

CAS 4

Holy Smokes, it's an epidemic!  lol  Another CAS card.

I am entering this one into the Less Is More, Foliage Challenge.

Another stamp set from Flourishes, Hydrangeas.  So beautiful!  As I write this, I am looking at the 4 HUGE plants I have to my left, they make such big gorgeous hedges, adding quite a bit of privacy to the yard too!  Stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Kraft card stock and colored with Copic Markers.  There is absolutely nothing else on this card!

The End.

CAS 3

Yup, back again with another CAS creation!

This card will be entered into the Challenge over at CASology, Stripe

I have a stripe of color topped with a stripe of shells.  I just LOVE this shell border stamp from Gina K Designs, A Year Of Borders, the sentiment is from By The Sea.  I took 2 scraps of paper and tore the edges, taped them down on the card stock and then sponged some blue ink in between the paper.  A simple technique, but looks very pretty.  Works in any color and for every image.  I also added a wee bit of Stickles to each shell, hard to see in the photo, of course.

Another low key, no fuss no muss (except for that little smudge of black ink on the left, grrrrr!) CAS card.

I will say they come together rather quickly!  ;)

Thanks for coming by, hope you do something today that makes you HAPPY!

Enjoy~~

CAS 2

Aloha!  I have been thinking about our little Hawaiian friend, Rosy, still waiting to hear back from her today.  They have been bombarded with crazy and dangerous weather.  So I decided to whip out one of my little Island stamps from Flourishes, Windows To The World.

This card will be entered into the Challenge at Less Is More, #184 Foliage

I'm on a roll, this is my 2nd CAS card.  Eek!  The image was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers.  I added a bit of a Sakura Glitter Pen to each flower center and some Stickles to the sea and palm frond.

A very simple card.  I decided to make a bunch of CAS cards to give to my Mom so she can just pop them in an envelope and not have to worry about extra postage or being hand-stamped.  She'll love them!  ;)

Enjoy~~

CAS Spree

Good afternoon!  What a glorious day!  Just spent 3 hours weeding and watering my gardens.....it's good for the soul!

Today's card is for the Clean And Simple On Sunday Blog, #39 Butterfly.

Okay, so this just may be too busy to qualify for a CAS card.....any thoughts?  lol  I used 3 different inks to stamp the leaves, Stampin' Up, Garden Green, Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Antique Linen and a ColorBox, Lemon Grass.  Both stamps are from Gina K Designs, Signs Of Spring (leaves) and Make A Statement (butterfly).  Stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Markers.  I also added some green and yellow Stickles to add some sparkle and shine.

We all know how difficult a CAS card is for me to make, let alone a NO layer card.  Egads!  I will keep practicing!

Thanks for coming by, have a fabulous day!

Enjoy!

Bow Ties!

Good Saturday Morning!  Just an hour before I head off to work, so thought I could get this post in!

I found some great inspiration on Pinterest, of course, for a masculine Bow Tie themed card!  Love that site!  My card will be entered into the Curtain Call Challenge, Bow Tie.

Super cute suit, reminds me of a Southern Gentleman, you know like Ben Matlock......lol....hopefully you youngsters can recognize that name!  The Bow Tie is made using a stamp set from Stampin' Up!, Dapper Dad.  The awesome sentiment is from Gina K Designs, Lots Of Lines.  Love the big, bold font!  Not much to this card, but I love it!  I was also thinking that I could change it up and make it into a Tux for my daughter's wedding next year, that will be FUN!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by, appreciate you doing so.....truly!

Enjoy~~

Pretty Pink Pieces

Hello....I'm baaaaaack!  This has been GREAT!  Hope you feel the same!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Mod Squad Blog, Paper Piecing.

It's another pink baby card, so FUN!

How adorable!  Can I say that?  I am really loving all that pink (now I get it, Lee!).  This card uses 2 sets from Gina K Designs, Basket Blessings and Petals And Wings.  The 'linen texture' rectangle makes for a lovely backdrop for these paper pieced stuffed animals, super cute, super sweet!   Spellbinders Classic And Scalloped Circle Dies were also used, and just a wee bit of ribbon for 2 perfectly pink bows.

I just have to say it again.....ADORABLE!

Hope you all have a wonderful day, do something just for you!

Enjoy~~

Creative Card Borders

Hello.....again!  It's been a great few days, very productive, very creative.  Gotta love that combo!

Today's card is for the Make It Monday, Creative Card Borders, Using Non Border Dies Challenge.  Watch the video, the card that Danielle shows you how to make is fabulous as well as the one she made last time, just gorgeous!

Here is mine:

This card was a challenge for me, something about math and physics, lol.  BUT one I will try again, I love how you can get a shaped border, totally cool!  I used the Lovely Layers stamp and die sets.  The Designer Papers are from Authentique, Gathering Collection.  I guess the flowers technically use that inlaid die technique too.  A little Baker's Twine and a couple of adhesive rhinestones are all the accents this card needs.

It really does look cool:

Hope you enjoy the VIDEO.

Thanks so much for coming by.....again!

Enjoy~~

Bold And Beautiful!

Hello, this is crazy, post number 3 already!  Yowza.....and more to come!  Yay!

My card today will be entered into the Poppy Sketch Blog Sketch # 10 With a Pop Of Pattern, Stars and Stamp TV Bold And Beautiful.

Here's the Sketch:

I totally FLIPPED the Sketch......you know, just to be different!

These are definitely not the Designer Papers that I typically use, but when you need Bold AND Beautiful you have to look deep into your stash!  :)   The yellow lattice DP does have little stars on it so I knew I wanted to use it behind my sentiment and the 3 little banners.  I also added 3 little punched out stars just to make sure you knew they were there!   A strip of ribbon and little tab and some adhesive rhinestones finish this card off.  It's quite bright and should bring a smile to whomever receives it.

Sentiment is from Enjoy The Sunshine stamp set, by Gina K Designs

Hope you have a fantastic day!

Enjoy~~

Hysterical

Good Morning!  Such a HAPPY day, this is my first day off (well other than a Sunday) since the 4th of July.....WHAHOO!  I have no idea what I am going to do, or rather NOT do, but it will start with a nice hot cup of coffee and a stroll through my gardens.....ahhhhh!

Today's card I made for one of those girlfriends who makes you laugh and cry, all at once, you know her, I am sure you all have one!  They are the best!  Even if you don't see each other as often as you used too, you pick up right where you let off.  We as women, are amazing like that!

My card will be entered into these 2 Challenges, Art Impressions, Wet Or Dry Embossing, and Simon Says Monday, Family.....trust me when I tell you that all of my girlfriends feel like family!!!

I used the Laughing Set (4385) from Art Impressions.  I adore these 2 gals, how could you not, right?  And that sentiment?  HYSTERICAL!!!  (and true!)  I colored the images with Watercolor Pencils (so much to learn about them--for sure!)  The Designer Paper is by American Crafts, Dots And Stripes.  I used the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder as a border edge to hi-light my ladies!  Some ribbon accents, randomly tossed sequins, a piece of a white doily, and a little Sakura Glitter Pen to accent the earrings to complete the look.   Fun, fun, fun!

May you all have such wonderful girlfriends in your lives, I know how lucky I am to be surrounded with amazing and like-minded women!

I actually went grocery shopping already, laundry is done, fruit salad is made and plants are watered.....NOW I can enjoy my day off!

Thank you for coming by.

Enjoy~~

New Baby Basket

Good Afternoon!  Up at the crack of dawn, off to work and now I have been playing in my craft room....TODAY is a good day!

I made a sweet little pink baby card and will enter it into 2 Challenges, Mod Squad Blog, Paper Piecing and Simon Says Wednesday, Make It Sparkle

I used 2 stamp sets from Gina K Designs, Basket Additions #2 and Holiday Basket, both just perfect to welcome a sweet little baby girl into the world!  Colored with Copic Markers.  I paper pieced the little material ruffle and rolled baby blanket.  I also paper pierced the 4 corners of the focal image base.  The addition of a pink doily really sets off the focal images.  I added Stickles for the glitter on the rubber ducky, baby bottle rim and powder bottle rim.  Some white adhesive pearls and a wide pink ribbon complete the card.  Just a fun card to make to celebrate new life.....love it!

Thanks so much for stopping by, I truly appreciate you doing so!
