Butterflies Are Free To Fly

Remember that oldie?

You'll thank me later when you hear yourself singing it.....all day long.  You're Welcome!  lol

Today's card will be entered into the following Challenges:  2 at Stamp TV; Just Because and Friday Funday, Brick, Scrapy Land, Anything Goes With 1 Die, and Penny Black, One For The Girls.

I had a lot of fun making this card....thanks Karen!  I used several of the Stamp TV Stamp Kits by Gina K Designs; Petals & Wings, Shabby Spring and Vintage Chic.  After 'scoring' all of my bricks I stamped the 'linen' image twice and then using masking tape and Tempting Turquoise ink I added several strips to create a warn look, I also used that technique on the Lacy Circles die cut, by Spellbinders.  Stamped the leaves several times in Always Artichoke ink and created my vine.

I stamped the butterfly image once on the die cut, then again which was fussy cut out and colored with Copic Markers and hi-lighted with a Wink Of Stella Clear Pen.  The butterfly is only adhered in the center, letting me crease the wings up to add dimension.  All layered on top of another die cut, Scalloped Circles also by Spellbinders.  Traditional Stitched Tag stamped with sentiment.  Gingham Ribbon, Turquoise Button and Jute Twine for accents.

Thanks so much for coming by, I love the company!

Enjoy~~

Easy Like A Sunday Morning.....

Oh you know you'll all be singing that all day long.  You're Welcome!  :)

I finally made a card, haven't done so in a week....at least.  My work has picked up (which I am thankful for) and the weather has been nicer too, so I am in the gardens more and it's hard to find crafting time.  But, I do love this time of year, a time of renewal, of rebirth, of endless possibilities.  Aren't we lucky?

Today's card is for the Mod Squad Blog, Triple The Fun Challenge, hosted by one of my very own BFF's, Judy Woodland! Judy is challenging us to use the Triple Stamping Technique.  I remember awhile back when she made a card or two with this technique and showed us all over at STV, she learned it from this VIDEO by Frenchie.  She has some wonderful videos, check them out!  Anyways when Judy showed us all, it went viral all over again, I know we ALL tried it at least once.  Glad she brought it up again!

I used the Gina K Designs Stamp TV Kit, Shabby Spring.  I wanted to do a black and white card and then just use that hot pink for a POP of color, I think I will also enter this card into the Stamp TV Challenge, Make It POP With Black.

You can't really tell but I did POP up that small pink flower to add more depth.  Here's a close-up.

After watching the video you will have all the measurements you need to try this fabulous technique!  Looks harder than it is.

Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy~~

Spring....It IS Here!

And thankfully so!  We have sunshine, again....3rd day in a row. I'll take it!

Today's card is just a sweet little creation, nothing fancy, no flash, just sweet.

I used the Sketch at the new blog, Poppy Sketches.

The Designer Papers are from My Mind's Eye, In Bloom, just perfect for this long awaited Spring!  The sentiment is from the Spring Blessing stamp set which is part of the Shabby Spring STV Kit, available from Gina K Designs.  Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Spellbinder's Ribbon Tag Trio and a Fiskars Paper Punch.  A few Adhesive Pearls and a couple of different pink ribbon.  Ta Da!

Short.  Sweet.

This card will be entered into Poppy Sketch #1 and for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Happy Birthday.

Hope the sun is shining where you are!

Enjoy~~

Spring Is Here.....Is It?!?!

Good Morning!   I say good because we have day 2 of sunshine!  So much better than the blizzard of last week!  Baby Steps!

Today's project makes me feel that Spring IS a possibility, that it will arrive, eventually.....until then I guess I will just keep stamping some beautiful floral images!  That should work.

The Card In A Box is all the rage and I finally jumped on the bandwagon, and glad I did.  It's FUN, it's EASY, and they can fit into a regular sized envelope, it's ALL good!  There are a ton of YouTube Videos, I watched a few to gets some great tips, just look for the one that appeals to you.

I am entering my project into the Mix It Up Monday Challenge over at Stamp TV, Celebrate Spring, and for the Simon Says Monday Challenge, Anything Goes!

I used my new Stamp TV Kit, Shabby Spring, and the Friends stamp sets, both available from Gina K Designs.  I also used all of the FREE, that's right I said, FREE Cut Files that Gina offers to us!  Just go to the Freebies Tab At Stamp TV.

My theme is Spring and Friendship!

I love how this came out and would encourage you to try it as well.  Birthdays, Weddings, Friendship, Baby Showers, you can tailor it to whatever you are celebrating, just think of the possibilities!

The Designer Papers are from Authentique, Gathering Collection.  I added a bit of sparkle and shine using Sakura Glitter Pens and some Stickles.

Thanks for checking out Spring in my corner of the world!

Enjoy~~

Lucky Shamrock

Just an itty bitty post with an itty bitty card.

CAS is not always Clean and Simple And Easy.  I find these to be the most difficult cards to make.  I miss my layers, but I keep on trying.  I used the oval stamp from the new Stamp TV Kit, Shabby Spring from Gina K Designs.  The shamrock is from a $1 stamp, which I fussy cut out and covered in some luscious Martha Stewart glitter.  A gingham green ribbon and some adhesive rhinestones are my accents.  I also used the Swiss Dots embossing folder to add some texture.  Ta Da!  lol

This card will be entered into these Challenges:

CASual Fridays to use Ovals.

CASology #88 Lucky.

Thanks so much for stopping by, it's good to be back in the atmosphere and not running the roads!

Enjoy~~

Thoughts Of You

Good Morning!  The sun is shining, the snow is melting and I have cleared my schedule to play, play, play!  Life is good!  (knock on wood!)

Today's card was fun to make, just because I could spend a little time in the old craft room aka back guest bedroom!

I used the new Stamp TV Kit, Shabby Spring from Gina K Designs.  This kit has some beautiful Spring Time images, butterflies, flowers, bird, several bird cages, all things that make you think (and LOVE) Spring!

Using the Sketch from My Favorite Things I mapped out my card.

I stamped the flower, leaves, and butterfly images onto card stock and then again on vellum.  I also did the same when using the Sizzix leafy die.  Spellbinders dies, small and large Labels.  Ribbon, adhesive pearls.

This card will be entered into the following challenges:

Mod Squad Challenge Blog, color challenge, to use reds and browns

My Favorite Things Sketch #169

Simon Says Monday, Transparent.

Short little post.  Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Enjoy~~
