This card was a Labor Of Love.....but I am sure you could figure that out!
It will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Going Dotty.
This was soooooo much FUN to make! I knew I had to create a Silver Rattle.....get it? So I whipped out my Mini Minc and some Holographic Silver Foil, talk about shine and sparkle, this stuff is amazing! The Baby Rattle die is by MFT. I made it into a Shaker card by cutting Spellbinders Standard Circle dies, a little Fun Foam, plastic packaging and a lot of Scor Tape. I also cut a 2nd rattle out of chipboard and backed the first one, it's nice and sturdy. Designer paper, Itty Bitty Stars by PTI.
MFT Cloud Trio die cut for my Baby sentiment which is from the Polka Dot On Parade # 4 stamp set by PTI. The Love die cut is also by PTI, Big Basics Love You die, which I cropped. Sheer Ribbon, Silver Twine, Heart Charm and Grey Enamel Dots for accents.
The sentiment is from a Verve stamp and just perfect for the inside of my Shaker, Raven Black ink. The Shaker bits are from PTI, the Shakers And Sprinkles Kit.....little silver stars!
This is the Homespun Heart die by Memory Box, which has also been cropped. Matching Yellow/Grey heart on front of card as well. I have to keep the colors baby neutral.....but that may all change in a mere 4-6 weeks! :) Card stocks in White, Grey and Yellow.
BABY LOVE!!!
Enjoy~~
Amazing card Grandma. Love that shiny rattle and how you improvised to get the shaker card. Just fabulous.

ReplyDeleteThis card could not be any more perfect for your new grandchild. Silver shaker with so much love. It is so shiny and love the yellow for now. Can't wait to hear the reveal in a few weeks.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this - you are gonna be THE BEST Nana ever!!! What a sweet card, I bet you can hardly keep yourself from making TONS of baby cards. The holographic foil is perfect as is the yellow. Soon, very soon, we will be able to use the appropriate color....oh be still my heart!!!!! Oh, and I love the star shaker bits too!!
ReplyDeleteI remember that feeling of excitement and difficulty in containing myself when my first grandchild was on the way (25 years ago ... time flies). This card is just PRECIOUS and I agree with Judy ... you will make an AWESOME Nana! That is what my grandkids call me too but sometime Morgan likes to throw 'Neener' at me just for fun! Mark was Pap Pap when they were little ... now he's Pappy! LOL What fun times lay ahead for you!
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet and I love the shimmer on that rattle. And, the fact it is a shaker makes it even more delightful and fun! I can tell you are super excited about being a grandparent. And, I don't blame you a bit as I was as well. And, my daughters would call me and ask questions concerning their pregnancies so I almost felt like we grew closer together in that respect as we had something more in common. So enjoy my friend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect card to welcome your first grandbaby. Love the super shiny shaker rattle. That sweet baby is going to have the best Nana in the world.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shaker card!
