Today's card will be entered into the following Challenges; Simon Says Monday, The Great Outdoors, Dies R Us, Flowers, Scrapy Land, Anything Goes and Memory Box, The Magic Of Markers.
My card base is Moonlit Fog by Gina K Designs. My floral stamp is Avant Garden by Stampin' Up! I first stamped my flower in Calypso Coral ink and then moved the stamp just a smidge and stamped it again, this time in Pumpkin Pie ink. I like this offset look and it makes the flower look fuller I think. I also added leaves and foliage in Pear Pizzazz and Wild Wasabi inks. Flower centers and sentiment in Raven Black ink and little dotty accents in Dove Grey.
I then die cut the Memory Box Butterfly Exhibit. I snipped these apart and took the 3 largest ones. I colored them all with my Copic Markers and then doused them in Dazzling Diamonds glitter. Oh the sparkle and shine!
These were adhered using pop dots for some dimension. I also rolled their wings up a bit for even more depth.
Thanks so much for flitting by!
Enjoy~~
BEAUTIFUL my dear. What's better than flowers and butterflies for a summer birthday card. I can imagine how sparklingly gorgeous those butterflies are in real life.
ReplyDeleteThere's so much I love about this card Donna! Lets start with those double stamped flowers. Gorgeous colors and I love that you double stamped them. I'll have to remember that trick. ;0) Those butterflies are so sparkly and pretty. What a wonderful card, my friend!

I am just flitting by to say this is gorgeous. Love what you did with the butterfly exhibit and the flowers. I may use this for my card making group. They would have fun with this and I won't have to come up with a design.
ReplyDeleteOh it's magnificent!!! Love those fabulous butterflies!! That SU set is lovely and I'm thinking I need to get it ( off the retired site) I'm seeing so many beautiful cards using it and yours is just wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, I love the double stamping and offsetting of the flowers, that is such a great look! Great colors in the butterflies and sparkle is always a good thing :) The dotted background looks great, I just bought a dotted stamp, but have been a bit afraid to try it out, this is great inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWow, this is really beautiful - I love the colors on those butterflies!
ReplyDeleteSWEET!!!!!

ReplyDeleteHow gorgeous...great design! So pretty....love the glittery butterflies:) Thanks for joining us at Dies R Us!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! You are on a roll! Another gorgeous card! What I really like about this one is how you made the flowers bold and opaque and kept the butterflies more open and fluttery (if that makes sense). As always, you've hit the right balance and this represents all that is good in the outdoor world. Thank you again for taking the time to submit your pieces to our Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenges-- I know they inspire a lot of people out there!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty with all the flowers and butterflies. Reminds me of a beautiful garden!
