Double D, Weddings

Good Morning!

A brand new Challenge is up and running over at the Double D Challenge Blog.

Check out this Inspirational Tile!  Who doesn't love weddings???

Here's what I came up with.

I found this beautiful gold Designer Paper in my stash and I knew it had to be the background for my card.  Then I took this pretty pink tulle, which I also had in my stash, like who doesn't, right?  And draped it over the Gold, cinching in the middle to add a bit more drama.  I used a couple of glue dots to hold it in place, knowing I would be topping it with something.  Enter this pretty die cut from the Stampin' Up! die set, Love Notes.  In keeping with the gold theme I ran a piece of toner paper through my Mini Minc Machine coating the entire thing with pretty Gold Foil.  I then was able to die cut this heart and paper punch 2 smaller ones from it.  Plus I still have a nice sheet of Gold Foil to play with.  Sometimes we just die cut and then foil, but this way you have some all ready to go!  I also backed the Gold Foil heart with a piece of pink card stock.

My sentiment is by Papertrey ink, Love & Marriage and is Gold Embossed on to a Spellbinders Grommet Tags die cut.  Sheer Pink Ribbon.

Please come on over to the Double D Blog and join in all of the FUN!  You'll be glad you did as there is always a pretty prize up for grabs!

Another simple card, but seriously, all you need is love! (and craft supplies).

Enjoy~~

Baby Tim

Good Morning!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, A Bit Of Sparkle.

This is a picture of my son-in-law, Tim around a year old.  You remember Tim, the Father To Be.  :)

Apparently this is when his love affair with Cardigans began!    I used the Papertrey Ink products; Polka Dot Parade #4, Love & Marriage, Fabulous Frames and the Designer Paper, Men Of Life.  Inks in Marina Mist and Pool Party.

Penny Black Heart Strings die.  Sheer Blue Ribbon, Heart Button and Twine accents.  I had these little wooden stars which I painted blue and then doused in Glitter.  I dressed up the Teddy Bear using the Impression Obsession Retro Masculine die set, hat and bow tie--which Tim also loves.

Here is the card I made a while ago for Lori.  It was about 2 weeks before her father and I even knew she was pregnant.  So cute!

Now I just have to make one for Hank, the dog.....and maybe in four short weeks we will know WHO will be next.

Thanks for stopping by.

Enjoy~~

This project was a true labor of LOVE!

This is my baby almost 33 years ago.  It was Lori's 1st birthday and she sang along with us all.  So happy, so JOYful!  And I hadn't messed with her bangs as yet lol.  I used the Papertrey Ink products; Polka Dot Parade #4, Love & Marriage, Fabulous Frames and the Simple Valentine Designer Paper.  Inks in Pink Pirouette and Rose Red.

My favorite word, for my most favorite girl.....JOY!  Pure JOY!

Penny Black Heart Strings die, how appropriate.  Sheer Pink Ribbon, Heart Button and Twine accents.  Using Pink Craft paint I painted my wooden letters.

Oh that precious, precious face!

Good afternoon!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Masked Heart Wreath, Scrapy Land, Favorite Colors and Penny Black, Anything Goes!

Super fun technique that you could use with any shape.  Check out Melissa's video HERE!

I used a Spellbinders Hearts die to make my mask.  A perfect classic heart shape.  I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets; Day Dreamer, Garden Gate, Love & Marriage and Love Notes.  I stamped all of my floral images in inks in Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Rose Red, So Saffron and Tempting Turquoise.....some of my most favorite colors!  I also used the PTI Big Basics Love You die, which I cropped.

I also added a bit of sparkle using a Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Pen.  I added some Washi Tape to the inside of the card too.  I thought this would make a lovely Engagement card and popped it in the mail to a happy little couple!

Participating in the Papertrey Ink February 2016 Blog Hop this month!

My card will also be entered into the Challenges at ScrapyLand, Tie One On, Simon Says Monday, Inspired By A Song and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

I chose to work in shades of greens and pinks in this beautiful inspirational photo!

My song lyrics come from an old Frank Sinatra song, Who Could Ask For Anything More?, here's a portion of the song:

Just imagine someone
Waiting at the cottage door
Where two hearts become one
Who could ask for anything more?

This little beauty will be winging it's way off to Canada today to celebrate the wedding of a dear friend of my daughter and son-in-law's (you know I looooove throwing that term out any chance I get)

Beautiful Wedding, Lovely Marriage

Good Morning!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at; Papertrey Ink, Dress Up Inspiration, Penny Black, Anything Goes With Stamp And Die, and Stamping Sensation, Anything Goes!

I was inspired by this dress I saw online.

I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets, Love & Marriage, Love Notes and Through The Trees.  I created a Polaroid Frame using a Cameo Cut File, which was cut out in chipboard and brown card stock.  Stamped the tree trunk in Timber Brown ink and the leaves in Wild Wasabi.  I also stamped the small heart on the trunk of the tree in Clear Embossing Powder and Cajun Craze ink.

Sentiment was also stamped in Wild Wasabi.  I ran the White card stock strip through an Embossing Folder with a flourish design and these sweet love birds, I only needed the little love birds for this card.  I created my little heart accent by layering several Spellbinders Hearts die together, looks and feels like chipboard.  Green Enamel Dots for accents.

I will hang on to this card til September 26th, which will be my daughter's 1st Anniversary.  They were married under a spectacular Chinese Mulberry Tree!  <3

Thanks so much for coming by, love it when you do!

The stamped heart is by PTI, Love & Marriage and was die cut using Spellbinders Hearts.  I started by creating a wood grain background, by scoring my card stock every 1/2" and then swiping with several inks, Antique Linen, Timber Brown, and Frost White.  MFT Mini Pennants and Penny Black Heart Strings dies also used.

Designer Papers by Theresa Collins, Hello My Name Is.  Valentines don't have to be all frilly!

Bold & Beautiful

Back again with one more card to share with you.

This will be entered into the following Challenges;

Mod Squad, Bold & Beautiful
Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!
Simon Says Monday, Throwback, July 13, 2015 Anything Goes!

This card uses the Papertrey Ink stamp set, Love & Marriage.  I LOVE that tree stamp, isn't it fantastic?  Bold?  Beautiful?  Yup!!!  I stamped the focal image in Night Of Navy Ink and then the sentiment using Gold Embossing Powder and Versa Mark ink.  I layered the image on gold and navy card stock, it really pops off the white card base.  Corner punched so I had a nice little spot to add the Adhesive Pearls.  Gold ribbon and layered Spellbinders Heart dies complete my look.

This is my second Anniversary card in as many days.....I don't need any Anniversary cards right now.  lol

Thanks so much for coming by.  Hope you have a wonderful day!

Love And Marriage

Good Morning!

Just trying out some ideas for a Wedding card as my daughter's is in 5 short weeks!  Eek!  Their vows will be exchanged under a magnificent Chinese Mulberry Tree.

This card will be entered into the Challenge at Papertrey Ink, Masking Sentiments

I used the stamp set, Love & Marriage from Papertrey Ink, how appropriate!  I made a mask of the sentiment and placed it in the center of my panel.  Then I stamped that beautiful tree right over the mask in Always Artichoke Ink.  Pulled up the mask and stamped the sentiment again using Versa Mark and Gold Embossing Powder.  I made a frame using the Gold Embossing Powder too and layered the image over it.  Another layer of card stock in Asparagus.

Clean And Simple!

Thanks again for coming by, you know I love it when you do!

You & Me....Forever

Good Afternoon!

Today's card will be entered into the following Challenges;

Dies R Us, Anniversary.
Simon Says Monday, Anything Goes!
Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

I used the stamp set from Papertrey Ink, Love & Marriage, just perfect for making an anniversary card!  The beautiful tree image was stamped in Always Artichoke ink, love those crisp leaves! Designer Papers by Teresa Collins, World Traveler.  I really wanted to use kraft, white and green and I think they all go well together.  The small heart couple image was stamped in Wild Wasabi ink, which was stamped onto a Spellbinders Hearts die cut.  I also used dies by MFT, Open Bracket Border and Bracket Edge Duo.

Rhinestone Flourish and Ribbon for accents.  Sentiment stamped in Tuxedo Black ink.

Some of you may want to turn away at this point.......others keep scrolling......

I was on Pinterest looking for inspiration for Anniversary cards and this little gem popped up!

So Funny!  Maybe for next year's ;)

Two Hearts Become One

Good Morning!  I look at the calendar and it says Spring arrives tomorrow.....I step outside and Mother Nature says, No Way.....It's Still Winter!  C'mon!!!

Today I have a little wedding card to share with you, I will probably use it as a gift tag even though it does measure 4" x 4".  This will be entered into the Challenge at PTI, Confetti Cluster Stamping.  It's a fun little technique, here's Lizzie Jones'  VIDEO to show you how!

I used many little stamps from a few of Papertrey Ink sets which include, City Scene, Happy Hexagons, Love And Marriage and Polka Dot Parade #9.   I used many Stampin' Up! inks; Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight, Pink Pirouette,  Pool Party, So Saffron, Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi.

The only thing I did differently than the video was to cut my shape out from copy paper, using a Spellbinders Heart die.  Then I simply used the negative portion to 'mask' my stamping space out.  Seemed silly to trace the image when I already had what I needed.  Just a little shortcut!

Here are the images I used:

City Scene 'dots', Happy Hexagons flower, Love And Marriage Hearts and Polka Dot Parade # 9 star.

This is really a FUN way to create an image, the possibilities are endless!  My dear friend Barbara was so clever to create this beauty because she's smart like that!!!

Thanks so much for stopping in, I really do appreciate you doing so!

Enjoy~~

Borders And Banners

Hello Again!

Todays' creation will be entered into the Challenge at PTI, Anchoring With Border And Banner Dies, Simon Says Monday, No Rules and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

I absolutely LOVED Melissa's cards, her VIDEO is awesome!  I loved them so much that I kind of CASED them, placing a tag on the card itself.  I also LOVE tags....any kind of tags, but especially ones placed ON cards.  lol

I used several stamp sets from PTI, Love And Marriage, Lovely Layers, Ruby Reprise, and Uncorked as well as the Uncorked die set.  Stampin' Up! inks in, Night Of Navy, Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party, and Wild Wasabi.   I collage style stamped the flowers and leaves on 2 corners, so they would peek out from under the tag, which was hand cut.  A little paper piercing and designer paper used to decorate it.  I also popped it up on 3 dimensional dots.  I stamped the heart image on to the tag itself and then on a piece of Vellum, and cut that out, glued it to the tag.  Using MFT dies, Wavy Edge and Western Star Duo (the one without the stars) I made my border cuts.  After stamping the sentiment on the PTI Banner die, I stamped the word happy onto card stock and punched it out using a small heart punch.  I like how this gives a little more depth and interest to the sentiment.  2 Organdy ribbons, in a pretty blue and green,  threaded through the tag hole.  Swiss Dots Embossing Folder and a couple of rhinestones added to flower centers and banner and 3 randomly tossed sequins.

I LOVE this card as much as Melissa's.....I now just have to find a Happy Couple to give this to!  ;)

Thanks for bopping in.....love it when you do!

Enjoy~~

Bagged And Tagged

Howdy!

My new computer's cord was not working, so after driving all over creation yesterday I figured out that I just had to order one online.  I am now on my OLD computer....so there may be a few blog posts in a short period of time, strike while the iron is hot and all.  I apologize if these become annoying.  Sorry!

This is a bag and tag I have created for Papertrey Ink's Bagged & Tagged, Challenge #3.

I used the Love And Marriage stamp set as well as a One Liner.  I created the bag from light card stock and then covered it in some pretty Valentine Designer Paper, and trimmed the top edge with pinking shears.  I also added a bit of gorgeous lace.

The tag was hand cut and layered with pink card stock over white.  I stamped the pink card stock with 2 different little hearts and then stamped the large heart and fussy cut that out and layered it on a piece of black card stock so it would POP.  Added two bits of ribbon to the tag and held it in place with a cute little Valentine clothespin.  Now to make a trip to The The Chatham Candy Manor to buy something yummy to put in my sweet little Valentine bag!

Thanks for coming by.....yes it is snowing.....again.....STILL!

Enjoy~~

Love Confetti Garland

Here it is still a blizzard and I am still making cards.....Valentine ones....which I really don't need anymore of.....oh well.....crafting is good for the soul!

This card will be entered into the  Papertrey Ink Challenge, Confetti Garland and at the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, Have A Heart.

I am totally hooked on making these little confetti garlands, so FUN!!!  Yes, I am easily amused apparently!  lol

Using a small heart punch I took several different Designer Papers and punched out 32 hearts.  I also grabbed a bunch of the larger red sequins I had in my stash.  Using a needle and some purplish thread I strung them all together, well in 3 batches.  I also found these wonderful heart shaped brads to coordinate with my card.  The stamped image is a 2 step process using the love stamps from the Love & Marriage set by Papertrey Ink.  I then took red, pink and white craft paint and splattered them all over the front of my card using an old toothbrush.   A little strip of border paper on the inside to complete the card.

FUN I tell you!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by, I appreciate you doing so!

Enjoy~~

Valentine Hearts

Good Afternoon!  Storm is still going strong and I have been crafting up a storm myself!

This card will be entered into the JUGS Photo Challenge and the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, Have A Heart.

I not only took my inspiration from the photo but also from Pinterest, love that site!  There are 2 stamped hearts, which I used white glittery embossing powder on, from the PTI set, Love & Marriage.  The 3rd slightly larger heart is from a Spellbinders Heart die which I also dry embossed using a Sizzix die.  The Designer Papers are Specialty Valentine ones from K & Company.  I also dry embossed a background piece to match the heart.  A pretty pink ribbon and bow topped with a large red rhinestone and some flat pink brads for accents.  I could use this card as an anniversary one as all of my Valentines are complete.  YAY!

Thanks for blowing by!

Enjoy~~

Three Panel Card

Good Morning!

Today's creation will be entered into the Challenge at PTI, 3 Panel Cards and the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Have A Heart.

I used the PTI stamp sets, Love & Marriage and Uncorked, as well as the Uncorked die set.   The original card stock size is 4.25 x 11 inches.  I scored each end at the 3 inch mark to create the tri-fold.  Ashely has an easy to follow video HERE.    Adhesive rhinestones, a couple of cut out hearts, bead and twine for accents and closure.  I also rounded the corners.

Here it is fully opened:

I loved making all of those wine bottles, quite fun!

A flourish of adhesive rhinestones.  The last panel I left blank so I can write my message there.  A super happy celebration card!

Thanks for coming by!

Enjoy~~
