A brand new Challenge is up and running over at the Double D Challenge Blog.
Red/White/Blue and/or Stars & Stripes
Use the 3 colors and/or stars and stripes.
I finally ordered that cute little nautical set from Simon Says, Sail Away stamps and the Set Sail dies. YAY! The Ship's Compass (aka Compass Rose) is by Cheery Lynn. Here it is die cut in Navy and backed with a pretty bright Red card stock, it really POPS!
I made my white water swells by using the MFT Snow Drifts dies, these work well for rolling hills too! Added a bit of texture to them using a Swirls Embossing Folder. Then I spritzed them with the Heidi Swapp Color Shine in White, which adds a bit of sparkle. Sentiment by Gina K Designs, By The Sea 2. Inks in Night Of Navy and Real Red. A bit of Natural Twine and Adhesive Pearls colored with Copic Markers for accents. The Designer Papers are by Papertry Ink, Bitty Stars.
This card will also be entered into the Challenge at Stamp TV, Nautical.
Please come on over to the Double D Blog and join in all of the FUN!
Today's prize is a Stars and Stripes Butterfly Stamp.
Thanks for sailing by!
Enjoy~~

ReplyDeleteDonna, I could hardly wait to come to your blog after seeing the theme at the Double D challenge! And you have not disappointed! (I don't think you could EVER do that with your incredible imagination). This is a wonderful card! I can just see it representing my life, that keeping my True North will also keep my pathway(course) going in the right direction. Your papers, and colors are lovely - especially with the pale blue bringing out a balance for the bright colors! Thanks so much for the inspiration! hugs, de
