A brand new Challenge begins today at the Double D Challenge Blog, and here is your Inspirational Tile to help get things started!
Lavender And Lace
And here's what I created:
My card stock is Lovely Lavender by Gina K Designs (with a pop of Wild Wisteria). My Lupines are by Papertrey Ink from the Flower Favorites set. Inks in Pear Pizzazz and Wisteria Wonder. My bit of lace skirting is also Lavender, found that beauty in my stash as is my thin ribbon at the top.
Simon Says Scripty Big Hugs die and Penny Black Border Edges die, both cut in Lovely Lavender. Dies R Us layered Butterfly Set #2, topped with Vellum a lone Adhesive Pearl and a bit of Swiss Dots Embossing Folder for some added texture. I backed the whole front panel with Fun Foam to give it a more sturdy feel. A few more Adhesive Pearls for accents and Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Pen all over the Lupines to make them sparkle and shine.
Hope you come on over to the Double D Challenge Blog and play along! See you there!
Thanks for checking in.
Enjoy~~

ReplyDeleteSo lovely!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully created and I love Lupines, another flower I just can't seem to grow here, but I try every year!! Very pretty card and design, makes me wish for Spring!
ReplyDeleteWow! Wow! and WOW! This card is amazing!! We have a fairly steep banking off our front yard that leads down to the road that is filled with lupines every spring. So pretty when they're in bloom. Not so pretty afterward. Your card is stunning though and I just love the added lace.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful take on the challenge. Just gorgeous in every detail!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, love how you did the top and bottom borders and such lovely lavender touches and pretty layering on the butterfly!

So many pretty parts to love here, Donna, not the least of which is that gorgeous lupine! It grows wild here, but not quite as spectacular as the hybrids. Really love the trim top and bottom -- ruffled lace and die cut. This card has it all!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Donna! You have used a lovely selection of stamps, punches, dies and lace to make a stunner!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous colors and lace!
ReplyDeleteOh, I am lovin' this, and what a fun and pretty challenge. I can't wait to play. Your card is gorgeous, especially that lace, and the way you have used that stamp. I forget about that set, I need to pull it out again. You have inspired me!!!! XO~
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous take on the lavender and lace theme, Donna. It looks so Cape Cod to me, and is how I picture looking out your windows to your amazing gardens. Beautiful card design and a great use of the ruffled lace under that stamped panel. Sigh. Gorgeous - yes it is! BTW, I am such a ditz! Didn't even see that I had won over at the SL challenge, until visiting your Google ID today, and viewing your comment! Congrats on your recognition, and thanks for the heads up! LOL huggers, de
