Celebration By The Sea

Good Monday Morning!

Back on the Dies R Us Blog again!  Today I will be sharing a Masculine Birthday card with you.

The dies from the Dies R Us Store made it so easy to create this Nautical Masculine card.  A theme that's near and dear to my heart!  I created my background using that fabulous Distress Windham Collage die by Memory Box.  Lighthouse by Gina K Designs, By The Sea stamp set.  Image colored with Copic Markers.

I die cut 3 of the Starfish from the Sand Dollar And Starfish set by Cheery Lynn.   Check out the texture on them, perfect!  I also sponged the edges a bit using Antique Linen ink.  I then placed them on top of the Distress Windham Collage opening, almost looks like they have been caught in fish net.  I layered the Curly Word Celebrate from Die Versions  3 times to create a chipboard like accent.

This particular die is no longer available but check out this one out, same great die, affordable price!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Enjoy~~

  1. I am absolutely loving this one! Those starfish look happy to be caught up in your fun card. That
lighthouse is amazingly as you have done a fantastic job coloring it. Makes me miss the light house back home.

  4. Right up your alley! Donna, your lighthouse creation reminds me of YOU - treasures on the shore, and a light of generosity to everyone you come into contact with! Beautifully designed - I don't know how you thought of the design but it's WONDERFUL, and I feel inspired on how to use that corner die now. I think I'm too restrictive, while you portray the beauty of a free spirit! THANK YOU! Happy Monday, Donna! xo

  6. I love this so much. Your coloring is just gorgeous and those starfish do, indeed, look like they have been caught in that "net". The star of the show is the corner die cut in my opinion. That and the nautical colors you chose. This card is just beautiful!!!!

  8. you make me want to pull out that stamp set and stamp away. I love, love, love what you did with this card. Though i will say it is not one that I would pick out of a gallery and say this is a DP. You continue to dazzle us with your talents.
