Hello again!
This card will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Monday, Based On A Book and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!
My card is based on the book , Mr. Limpet by Theodore Pratt....remember the movie starring Don Knots, The Incredible Mr. Limpet?
This card uses the Stampin' Up! set, By The Tide. I made a water color background using inks in; Bermuda Bay, Island Indigo, Spiced Marmalade,Tempting Turquoise and Wild Wasabi. My images were also water colored and then fussy cut out. I spritzed the card front all over with some Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Gold.
Sentiment from Gina K Designs, Pleasant Plurals, stamped in Black Licorice ink. A simple card but I really love it!
Thanks for swimming by!
Enjoy~~

ReplyDeleteYes, I remember Mr. Limpet. Really cute card based on that movie. You say your card is simple, but really it is complicated. Lots of techniques and beautiful under water effects, make this card so much more than simple.

ReplyDeleteI really like the over all watercolor look of this card. And it's a great take on the book challenge, Mr. Limpet is so stinkin' cute. Every time you use that stamp set I love what you have done with it....too bad it's not available any longer. I adore this pretty creation!!!

What an absolutely stunning card! I wanted to dive right into this scene and frolic about with those bright, bold, beautiful seahorses and fish! And it's genius to do an aquatic-themed birthday card that is totally sophisticated and elegant. This makes me feel the need to go on a cruise...or at least stare some more at the header of your blog, which always makes me yearn for the sea! Great work here, Donna!!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! A beautiful scene and I love the background. Wonderful work!
