I fell in love with this little glimpse of perfection by Michelle Wooderson:
Here's Michelle's original POST in all it's glory, she uses the Flower Garden set.
I must inform you that I am not a seamstress (I hate the way 'sewer' looks lol) yet I have always had some fabrics in my stash just in case. I couldn't find any bright and happy prints, so these will have to do.
I have used many Papertrey Ink products; Simple Sunflower stamps and dies, sentiment from Happy For You, stencil from Garden Gate and the Scalloped Rectangle die from the Shakers & Sprinkles Kit--which has been cropped. I sewed fabric onto a piece of card stock as my base, and then wrapped another print around it for contrast. Placed an MFT Dotted Scallop Border die beneath.
Inks in; Marina Mist, Pink Pirouette and Wild Wasabi. Sentiment stamped in Black Licorice, topped with Clear Embossing Powder. Sheer Ribbon, Baker's Twine, Button and Adhesive Pearls for accent. I always color the white pearls to match the card using Copic Markers.
I really adore Michelle's card, don't think I have done it justice, but I am okay with my creation.
Thanks for stopping in!
Enjoy~~
Yes, you did Michelle's card justice. I like the colors and the big bow.

ReplyDeleteYou used fabric on this card??? How cool, I don't think I have ever done that. I love all the elements here, especially your pretty flower with the button in the middle. Well done....now I'm going to go see what Michelle did.
ReplyDeleteNever would have thought to use fabric on a card, but this is great! I love the simple sunflower set, so versatile and lovely. Great card!
