Blessed

Good Afternoon!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Past Present And Future 2010, Simon Says Monday, Favorite Tool, Simon Says Wednesday, Fantastic Florals, and Scrapy Land, Add Texture.  My favorite tool for this card has to be my die cutting machine, my Big Shot.  How I used a Cuttlebug for so long is beyond me.  :)

I fell in love with Melissa's card shown here, where she uses the Where Love Lives set:

Here's what I came up with:

So much FUN to make!  I used the Papertrey Ink products; Shakers & Sprinkles dies, Counting My Blessings die (Blessed) and the Daydreamer stamp and die sets.  It's kind of funny but I just got my order of 19 paper pads from PTI and I couldn't bear to cut into one piece--it is a sickness!  lol

I created my little house by die cutting 2 of the smallest squares from the Spellbinders Lacy Squares die set, I cropped one to make the roof.  Swiss Dots Embossing Folder for texture.  My background Designer Paper is covered with a layer of 'dotty' Vellum.  Heart and Pale Yellow Button, Sheer Pink Ribbon, and Striped Pink Enamel Dots all for accents.  Corner Rounder.  Inks in Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz and Wild Wasabi.

I think this could be used for a Happy Spring card, an Easter one or even for a New Home.  Love it!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Now I am only 2 years behind in the PTI Challenges lol

Enjoy~~

  2. I loved this card by Melissa too, but I didn't see how to make that little house. Duh! You are so creative. I should have thought of that. Cuteness is the word for your card. So much going on and it is all darling. A great take on the original card. This is really a lot of fun. You better start thinking about using some of that paper you just bought.

  4. Your cased this one brilliantly, Donna! LOVELY colors - you always manage to find the most intriguing color combinations, and such a softness to your design. Thank you for showing the "muse" card as well. I think your "sickness" is contagious - so many of us hesitate cutting into pretty papers. I know I do! But once I "cut", I get excited and wonder why I waited so long! LOL Have a wonderful week-end, my sweet Cape Code friend! xo
