Happy New Year (Almost)

Hello!  I trust you all survived the Holidays!

I love this time of year, looking forward to all the possibilities that a New Year, clean slate, fresh start has to offer.....don't you?  Hope so!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Papertrey Ink, Ala Carte.....to choose from any of the 2014 Make It Monday Videos, and the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

So very happy to use colors, lots and lots of bright, bold colors!

I chose the Make It Monday Video, Vellum Overlays with Danielle Flanders.  Her card is fun and fabulous and I based my card on her creation:

By Danielle Flanders

And here is my card:

Another fun card and technique to make.  I am loving my layers, especially the Vellum layer.  I used the stamp sets, Lovely Layers and Tag-Its #2 both from PTI.  The Designer Paper is from Teresa Collins, Fabrications.  Spellbinders Classic Circle die, Sizzix Branch With Leaves, and a Wavy Edge Die from MFT.  Stampin' Up! Inks in, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, and Pumpkin PieSwiss Dots Embossing Folder, Dots, Ribbon and some Sequins for texture and accents.  The Vellum is some that I had in my stash came in a little booklet from Hot Off The Press, I have had it forever!  It has a nice little dotted pattern on it.

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you all in the New Year!

Enjoy~~

Stamped Borders

Good Morning!

Well I hope you enjoyed the Holiday as much as we did.  So blessed to have my Mom and my Daughter, (and her fiancĂ©), in the house on this special day.  That hasn't happened since 1987.

Blessed I tell you!!!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at PTI, Stamped Borders, Sympathy or Thinking Of You and the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

This was a fun card to make, just stamping images willy-nilly!  I chose 3 Stampin' Up Inks, Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz.....love this combo!  The stamp sets are Ruby Reprise and Tag-Its #2, both from PaperTrey Ink.  I made a mask using the cut out from the Spellbinders Classic Oval die, and then stamped all along the border using that little twig image in all 3 colors.  Stamped some flowers and more of that twig image onto a second oval die cut and then popped that up on 3 dimensional dots.  I also added a bit of Sakura Clear Star to the twigs on the center part.

I am so happy to be making NON Christmas cards.  While I absolutely LOVE the Holiday, the decorating and cooking and baking and even the cleaning in preparation for the loved ones that will be under our roof.....I am also glad it is over.  I am looking forward to 2015 for so many wonderful things ahead of us.  My daughter is getting married in the Fall so I can now turn my attention to all of that planning and preparation.....I am sure it will be a labor of LOVE!

Merry Merry (one last time) to you all!  And a very HAPPY and HEALTHY New year!

Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy~~

Pink Roses

Good Afternoon!  Hope you all are getting things done for the big day!!!

My card was made for the MFT, Sketch Challenge.

My Favorite Things had a HUGE retirement sale, so I took advantage of it.  Eek!  Using the matching stamp and die set, Sweet Roses, and the Vertical Greetings die, all from MFT, I put away my Christmas Designer Papers.  This card could be for Valentine's Day, or Mother's Day, or just an all occasion card.  I purposely left off a sentiment, for just that reason.

I added some rose ribbon, colored the roses with Copic Markers and added pearl centers which are also colored.

Okay back to making Merry.

Merry Merry!

Love Hearts

Good Morning!  Busy, busy, busy!

I made this card for the Challenge at PTI, Camouflaging Die Cuts.

I must say I LOVE how this came out!  And thank you Barbara Campbell for the help, wink, wink!  I used a One Line Die Cut from Papertrey, Love and stacked 5 cuts on top of each other.  The last one I masked off and using a Copic Marker, I colored the bottom half of it.  The hearts were cut using Spellbinders Heart Dies.  Added a bit of texture to 2 of them using Embossing Folders, Swiss Dots and a portion of a Sizzix Die with Love Birds on it.  2 of the other hearts used textured card stock.  All the dies were 'inlaid' and then built up, making them like chipboard pieces.

Okay back to making Merry......it all seems to be coming together!

Merry Merry!

Silver Tree

Good Morning!

Today's card is a clean and simple one made for the Challenge at CASology, Silver.

I found this great Hampton Art Tree stamp, in my stash, long forgotten.

I used silver embossing powder on hot pink card stock. Not too crazy about the outcome, but I am sure there is someone on my card list who will enjoy this.  (fingers crossed!)  I also added an adhesive pearl to each line and some silver curling ribbon at the top.

It is so difficult for me to create a CAS card.  But, maybe less is more.....sometimes......

Thanks for coming by, hope you're being productive!

Merry Merry!

Combo Holiday....???

Good Morning!

Happy to say I FINALLY made my Beach Photo Card.....phew!  Now I just have to write them all out....that's all!  Fa La La La La

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at the Mod Squad , Frilly Fun, hosted by Joyce and the Sketch Challenge at MFT.   By the way they are having a HUGE retirement sale, up to 75% off....I took advantage of that yesterday morning, merry merry to me!

And here is my card.....Combo Holiday....??? It uses Christmas stamps but has a Valentine feel.  What do you think?

Designer Papers are by My Mind's Eye, Love Me.  I used the Gina K Designs stamp set, Mistletoe Memories.  My dies are from MFT, there are 3 of them, the Open Scallop Border, and 2 from Blueprints #12, center panel and the flag banner.  Swiss Dots Embossing Folder for a little bit of texture, chipboard heart topped with button and twine, a little bit of ribbon and some Liquid Pearls in Flamingo.

I think I might just save this for a Valentine's card......I wonder if anyone would notice the mistletoe?

Bling A Ding Ding

Good Afternoon!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Bling It On!

Designer Papers are by K & Company, Madeline, so pretty!  Stamp set by Gina K Designs, Take Flight.  Memento Rose Bud Ink, MFT Blueprint # 12 and Dotted Scallop dies.   Trio Butterfly and Border Punches by EK Success.

Vellum, Ribbon, Adhesive Rhinestones and Rhinestone Flourish for accents.

This was a birthday card for one of my niece's.  It's almost as pretty as she is!

Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy~~

Gift Card Holder

Good Morning!

This was a fun and easy little project to create, and one that should come in handy 2 weeks from today....2 WEEKS FROM TODAY!!!

This will be entered into the Challenge at PTI, Tab Closure Tri-Fold Card

Betsy has an easy to follow video HERE.

I used Papertrey Ink's Lovely Layers stamps and dies and the Tags-Its #2 stamp set.  The Designer Paper is Jack Frost by American Crafts.  I also used 2 different blue inks, Not Quite Navy and Night Of Navy, both by Stampin' Up!  Swiss Dots Embossing Folder used on tab to create some texture.

This is a perfect size to hold a gift card.

I think by using the flower stamps and dies it mimics the snowflake pattern on my DP nicely!

Thanks for coming by!

Merry Merry!

Wise Men Still Seek Him....

Good Afternoon!

Today's project is a little tag I created.  Last year I actually made this same project as an ATC, but without all the glitter.

This will be entered into the Challenge at Stamp TV, Shimmer & Shine and at the Simon Says Monday Challenge, Transportation

The stamp set is from Gina K Designs, City Of David.  Beautiful Images and sentiments for this time of year.  I cut a large tag out using my Cameo.  Horizontally I masked it off, shading in yellow and blue, for the appearance of sand and sky, then stamped my image and sentiment.  I then covered the entire tag in Versa Mark Ink, covered that in Stampin' Up's Heat & Stick Powder, heated it, and then covered that in their Dazzling Diamond Glitter, and then reheated it all to set the glitter.  I am so addicted to the look of using those products.  They Shimmer.  They Shine.  They Sparkle.  AND all that glorious glitter stays put!  True Story!!!

Here is my ATC from last year.

May you enjoy your day!

Cute Little Snowmen

Good afternoon!  Just one little personal update....my house is clean, my house is decorated.....for tomorrow I shop!!!

Just had to make one more snowman entry for The Mod Squad Challenge, Frosty The Snowman and thought I might as well add it to the Stamp TV, Winter Chocolate Challenge, Simon Says Monday Challenge, Holiday Cards, and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, Christmas/Holidays.

I made a little 3x3 card set of adorable snowman I first saw on Pinterest.

The eyes and mouth were hand drawn and then traced over using a Sakura Black Glaze Pen.  I flicked a little bit of brown craft paint over the snowman's head, which was cut out using a Spellbinders Classic Circle die.  I also edged them in Distress Ink, Antique Linen.  Stamped the sentiment form the Gina K Designs stamp set, Seasonal Labels.  Added a bit of gingham ribbon for their scarves.  I also topped the scarves with wooden snowflakes which I colored in with a Sakura Clear Star Pen.  These were FUN to make!  I will make some matching envelopes and use them as gift cards.

Thanks for popping in!

Merry Merry!

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow......

But, not really!  lol

Hello again!  Even though at the time of typing this my house is not clean nor decorated, I hope by the time this posts all will be calm, all will be bright.....with nary a dust bunny in sight!  Ha!  Fingers crossed!

I must say this has been one of the most FUN cards for me to make, totally inspired by Pinterest with a few minor changes.

And please remember if you see something you like here, I did manage to figure out how to add that Pin Button.....just hover over any image and it should appear in the top left corner, making it very easy for you to pin it to one of your boards, perhaps for future inspiration.  But, please do not ask me HOW I did it.....I had to fiddle around with some online code for a little bit inserting into the perfect line.....oy vay!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Mod Squad, Frosty The Snowman, Simon Says Monday, Holiday Cards, and Simon Says Wednesday, Christmas/Holidays.

Here is my card:

Isn't it just ridiculously cute and clever?  Now remember, I can say that as it is not my design, I merely CASED it!  The snowman image is from the Gina K Designs sets, Wishing You Joy and the sentiment and snowflakes are from the Let It Snow set (the snowman in that particular set was much too large to do this style card--but he is super cute too!)  The Designer Paper is by Teresa Collins, Hello My Name Is, this pad is on clearance at Michael's and is full of rustic colors with browns and tans and reds, love it!  The images were stamped 3 times on separate little pieces of card stock and minimally colored with Copic Markers.  The snow drifts were made by tearing thin card stock and then I added a bit up texture using a Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.  Of course I had to add an edging of sparkly snow so I used Gina's Prismatic Glitter in Frozen......speaking of Frozen I was at a craft store yesterday and there was this sweet little girl singing Let It Go at the top of her lungs, so cute from my point of view, but probably not so much from her Mom's lol.  I added a bunch of rhinestones to all the little snowflakes for more sparkle and some Baker's Twine for a matching accent.  Just super cute!  And you all know this is exactly WHERE I like my snow......sorry Lee!

Merry Mistletoe

Back again!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Stamp TV, Winter Chocolate, Simon Says Monday, Holiday Cards, and Simon Says Wednesday, Christmas/Holidays.

I used Pure Luxury Card Stock in White and then Chocolate and Tan Leather to represent dark and milk chocolate....mmmmm.  The image and sentiment are also from Gina K Designs, Winter Wonderland and Wishing You Joy Stamp Sets.  I thought by embossing in gold that could represent the foil in a typical box of chocolates, as well as the gold ribbon.  4 eyelets added for accents.  This is a nice clean card and may not need extra postage for mailing.....WIN!

Merry Merry!

City Sidewalks, Busy Sidewalks.....

Good Morning!

Now that Thanksgiving is behind us it's a straight out race to Christmas Eve.  Fa La La La La!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at PTI, Glittered Frames, Curtain Call, Clearly Christmas, Simon Says Monday, Holiday Cards and Simon Says Wednesday, Christmas/Holidays.

This card uses the PTI stamp and die sets, City Scene.....the more I use it the more I love it!  I first die cut the buildings and trees out and then stamped the images on them, the buildings are a 2 step stamp process, sometimes I actually can line the lights up perfectly......sometimes not, here they are close enough.  I also die cut a layer from Vellum for the buildings to give them a frosty snowy glow.  Then I positioned the city where I thought it would look best and then made my glittery snowy frame.  It really has a wonderful frosty feel to it.  I also stamped a bunch of falling snow and then added more glitter to the sky background.  The edges of the trees also have a soft bit of snow.  The Designer Paper is by Echo Park, Holly Jolly Christmas. I used Memento Pear Tart and Stazon Teal Blue Inks.

......Dressed In Holiday Style......

May you be singing that for the rest of your day!

Merry Merry!

I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day......

Happy December!  Temps in the mid 50's, sun is shining......doesn't feel like December.....and I love it!

Today's project is a Christmas Ornament I made.  I had just used that fabulous Cardinal Elements stamp from Stampendous on a card, and wanted to use it again, so I thought an ornament would be nice as I LOVE Red Cardinals!  May even hang it up all year round! lol

This will be entered into the Mod Squad Blog Challenge, The Music Of Christmas and the Challenge at Simon Says Monday, Holiday Cards.....I assume you can make any type of Holiday Project.

I stamped the image on to white card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it with Copic Markers and a Sakura White Glaze Pen.  I then covered the entire thing in Versa Mark  and Stampin' Up's Heat & Stick Powder, heated that and then doused it all in Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  Reheated it all to set the glitter.  This thing sparkles and shines!  I mounted it on a piece of chipboard and then cut pieces of black card stock and glitter red paper out using Spellbinders Lacy Square Die and layered them all together.  I found this awesome Christmas 'rope' in my stash and added some gold bows and big red rhinestones.

I should have sprinkled some fake snow on the tree bough.  Fa La La La La

Thanks for stopping by, hope you are getting in the Festive Mood!

Enjoy~~
