Sending You Sunshine

Good Afternoon!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Gradient Water Color Die Cuts and Simon Says Work It Wednesday, Sunshine.

I 'painted' some water color paper using my regular inks and water brush.  I don't have any water color markers so this works just as well for me.  Using the Papertrey Ink Cover Plate Die,  Hexagon, I die cut my water color paper  and created my background!  I added adhesive to all of the hexagons on the back side of the cut and then placed it all on the front of my A2 size card.  Then I removed the frame.  Easy Peasey!  I do love the look of this, it reminds me of texture paste.....without having to open the bottle.  I have used that stuff once since I bought it months ago.  Sigh.

Added a strip of Vellum and a sentiment from Simple Sunflowers and then the sweet little bee stamp and die sets from Flower Favorites, all from PTI.

So flat.....easy mailing.....gotta love that!

Thanks so much for buzzing by!

Enjoy~~

Garden Zinnias

Good Monday Morning!

On the Dies R Us Blog today!

Today's creation uses many beautiful dies.  Check out the Dies R Us Store for all your die-crafting needs!

I saw this fantastic sentiment online, Little Darlings Friends Sentiments and knew I could use it with all of my lovely dies!  They fit together perfectly!  I started with my sloping grass hills, created with Die-Namics Snow Drifts.  Who says they are only for winter use?

Then came the forest backdrop.  The Birch Trio by Memory Box  topped with some beautiful leaves by Paper Smooches, Foliage 1.  I have only thought of bare Birch Trees, I think the bark is their beauty.  But, of course, they have leaves!

The Amy Design Picket Fence was just what I wanted to fence in my pretty little garden.  This particular die is no longer available in the Dies R Us Store, however there are many others available HERE!  Pretty dies come and go so quickly, when you see what you like, fill your cart!

Now for some creative FUN....the flowers!

I adore these beautiful blossoms AND they were just a lot of fun to make!

Garden Notes Zinnia by Elizabeth Craft Designs.  Their detail is amazing!  My Zinnias are not in bloom as yet, but I am hoping they look as pretty as these when they do flower!

When there is no sunshine and rain is falling at least I know I can always garden.....in paper.....isn't that the best?

I will be entering this into the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Enjoy~~

    Lace Butterfly

    Good Afternoon!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Cheery Lynn, Lots Of Layers and at Stamp TV, Release Party Challenge, Take 3 (to use 3 colors of ink).

Using Gina K Designs stamp sets, Folk Filigree and Pretty Patterns 2 I created my background paper, inks in; Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral and Wild Wasabi.  Card base layers in green, white and coral, topped with Vellum.  MFT dies; Bracket Edge Duo and Stitched Traditional TagsSwiss Dots Embossing Folder and Adhesive Rhinestones for accents.

This gorgeous Cheery Lynn die, Small Lace Butterfly with Angel Wing is fabulous!  It is anything but small, it measures 2 3/8 x 3 3/4 inches....HUGE!  The little Angel Wing lets you cut a backing for the lacy butterfly.  It is 'half' a die, so you fold your card stock in half, cutting the die once, unfold card stock and you have a fully formed butterfly die cut.  Clever.

    Thanks for fluttering by.

    Enjoy~~

    Sunshine In My Life

    Good Morning!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes! and Simon Says Work It Wednesday, Sunshine.

I used two sets by Flourishes (poor Flourishes) Dahlias and Hydrangeas.  Images colored with Copic Markers.   Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8 and MFT Cross Stitched Rectangles dies used.

    Hi-lighted 'sunshine'.

Sheer Ribbon, Stickles, Wink Of Stella Clear Pen and Crystal Drops for accent.

I needed a thank you card for some generous neighbors. My Hubby helped him put up some window boxes one night.  When he came home he had 3 large pots of beautiful Dahlias.  The couple own their own Exterior Design Company out of Connecticut and said they had some 'leftover plants'.  They are the only people I know who have 'leftover plants' lol

I transplanted and split one up too.  Aren't they gorgeous?

    Leftovers....lol

    Thanks for coming by!

    Best Wishes

    Good Afternoon!

These little note cards will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Masked Backgrounds, Simon Says Monday, Make A Wish, and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

Stamped image from the Papertrey Ink set, Flower Favorites, sentiment from Gina K Designs, Pleasant Plurals.

I masked off a 2 inch space on each card and proceeded to sponge orange and yellow and blue and green inks onto the Rustic White card stock.

Stamped the iris and stems in complimenting colors.  Added the sweet little bee image and colored it's wings with a Sakura Clear Glitter Pen.  Ribbon accent.  These cards both measure 3.75 x 5.5 inches.  The one on the left is top folding and looks smaller in the photo.  (optical illusion)  :)

Thanks so much for popping by!

    Enjoy~~

This stamp and die set is Beautiful Day by Altenew.  The peonies are a 4 part stamp and have so much detail, they're just gorgeous!

Designer Papers, sheer ribbon and enamel dots for accents.  Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.

Just a simple card, but I wanted to try these new stamps out.  More elaborate designs down the line, I hope!

    Enjoy~~

Oh and it looks like my peonies that  I transplanted on Saturday may survive....WHAHOO!

Once again I am participating in the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.

    Here is my creation:

I used the dreamy Papertrey Ink stamp set, Vintage Linens.  What I loved about the photo was the watercolor softness and the chilly greys.

I added a Sakura Black Gaze pen to the center of each flower.

Black and grey card stock die cut using DieVersions Curly Words--Celebrate die.

Short and sweet.  Thanks so much for popping in!

    Seed Packets

    Good Monday Morning!

Back on the Dies R Us Blog to share a little Spring time fun!

A little something about me, I love to craft AND I love to garden, so when the two can be combined it is pure JOY!  If I can't have ink under my fingernails, I don't mind a wee bit of dirt.

Today's project is making seed packets.  So FUN!

When using my Envelope Board Maker they become so easy to whip up.

I started with a 6 3/4 x 6 3/4 inch piece of Kraft card stock and using my Envelope Board I scored at the 3 inch mark, rounding the corners as I went.  Sealed with a bit of Scor Tape.
This made a  3  3/4 x  4  3/4 inch sized envelope, the perfect size for slipping in a Burpee Seed Packet.

I decided I wanted to make a string closure on the back.  Spellbinders Scallop Circle dies cut from thick chipboard and pink card stock.  Eyelets and Jute Twine.  I thought I would need 3 Dimensionals, but decided there was no need.

Using the Eyelets to add the Scallop Circles die, I ensured that they would stay put when opening and closing with the Jute Twine.  Very sturdy!

I stamped an old seed packet image from Stampin' Up and my sentiment from Spring Has Sprung, by Gina K Designs, on to the Kraft card stock in Black Licorice ink.

Adding just the right flower to decorate the packet was the hardest choice.  So many pretty flowers to chose from at the Dies R Us Store.  I finally decided upon these beautiful Garden Notes Zinnia from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I cut them out of some pretty felt I found in my stash in orange and pink and layered them together.  The leaves are by Paper Smooches, Foliage 1 cut in the pretty green felt.  Both of these dies are amazing and cut through the felt like buttah....oops my Boston accent is showing.  They are crisp and clean, even in felt.

I also added a bit of the Crystal Drops for centers.  Tip:  Felt is porous and the Crystal Drops will not hold their shape.  However, I do like how they look.

If there's a happy gardener in your life these make sweet little gifts.  Precious Shower Favors, or added to Spring and Easter Baskets.

I really love the rustic simplicity of these seed packets, hope you do too!

I will be entering these into the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Fun With Felt.

    Here's what I used:

      Graduation Wallets

      Good Afternoon!

I made a couple of 'wallet's for the Challenge over at Papertrey Ink, Make It With Money.

I do love the wallets that Lexi created, she was even kind enough to supply us with the measurements HERE on her Blog.

I'm not too crazy about my creations but they both are for our 2 nephews who graduate in June.....trust me, they won't care what they look at as long as there is money on the inside!

Papertrey Ink Swoosh stamp and die set.  I also used a Glittery Gold Brad and a little metal hardware closure.  Crystal Drops in Neptune.

Papertrey Ink Daydreamer stamp.  Altenew 2016 stamp set.  Both heat embossed in Copper Embossing Powder.  Corner Rounder.

      Ehhhh.....

      Thanks for coming by.

      Enjoy~

      Celebrate!

      Good Morning!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at Cheery Lynn, Red, White And Blue and at Stamp TV, Masculine Cards.

I used the Papertrey Ink Fabulous Frames die set.  My stamps are by Gina K Designs, By The Sea and By The Sea 2.  Ink in Night Of Navy.

Cheery Lynn Burlap die cropped, I also sponged on Marina Mist ink.  Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Enamel Dots and Jute Twine for accents.

Diversions Curly Words, Celebrate layered in white and red card stock.

Quickutz Anchor Die cut in Glitter paper.

      Fabulous Felt Flowers

      Good Tuesday Morning!

Today's card will be entered into the following Challenges; MFT Sketch, MFT Color and Simon Says Monday, Felt That!

I used the MFT die sets; Blueprints 12 and Open Simply Scallops as well as the Simply Fabulous Sayings stamp set.  The 'polaroid frame' is a PTI die, Fabulous Frames, there seems to be a fabulous theme emerging.  :)   Spellbinders Standard Circles die.

The flower dies from Blueprints 12 cut the felt beautifully.  I am quite amazed that they look this good, like wicked good.  Swiss Dots Embossing Folder and Enamel Dots for accents.  Melon Mambo ink.

I had forgotten I had this handy dandy little tool by EK Success, a Piercing Bug.   It worked perfectly to add the dotted texture from the top of the Sketch.  It was one of those impulse buys years ago, you know the kind, when you're standing in the store with a 50% off coupon in hand?

Thanks so much for coming by....I think my feelings on felt may be changing....hmmm, who knew?

      Enjoy~~

      Anniversary Poppies

Back again with another Poppy card....I tell you I love these sets!

This will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Flowers.

Altenew Painted Poppy stamp and die sets.  Inks in Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo and Rose Red, and Calypso Coral and Tangerine Tango.

Large Sequins in matching flower colors.  I also added Stickles in matching colors to all flowers and leaves.  Sentiment stamped in Black Licorice ink.

A simple card, but it was still quite fun to make!

Thanks again for Poppy-ing in.....sorry but that does not get old.  lol

      Enjoy~~
