This card will be entered into the Make It Monday Challenge, DIY Cover Plates, over at Papertrey Ink. Kind of an interesting challenge, to use your dies to make a cut out design on the front of your card, a cover plate. I decided to use the large flower die from the Lovely Layers set as well as the corresponding stamp. It's a fun technique and one I will try with all of my other dies too.
I suppose I could call this a CAS card too. Ha! I cut out 2 large flower dies, saving the cut out pieces to stamp in More Mustard and Elegant Eggplant. I then adhered the flowers on the inside to peek through the cut openings. Stamping the sentiment and a fern onto white card stock I cut them out using Spellbinders Classic Ovals and layered it onto green card stock. Very clean, very simple.
Thanks for taking a peek today!

Masculine Happy Birthday
Good Day!
Another birthday card in the works for today! A masculine one at that, lots of layers, and deep rich colors, nothing frilly of course!
Another birthday card in the works for today! A masculine one at that, lots of layers, and deep rich colors, nothing frilly of course!
This layout was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest! The Designer Papers are from Deja Vu, Global Treks. Spellbinders Classic and Lacy Circle Dies, Baker's Twine, Button, and Brads. The stamps are from Gina K Designs, Pleasant Plurals and Pretty Patterns 2.....say that 10 times fast! lol
This card will be entered into the Mix It Up Monday Challenge at Stamp TV, it's knot hard, Mod Squad color challenge, to use reds and browns and the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, buttons!
It feel so good to be card making again, it soothes my soul!

Lucky Shamrock
Just an itty bitty post with an itty bitty card.
CAS is not always Clean and Simple And Easy. I find these to be the most difficult cards to make. I miss my layers, but I keep on trying. I used the oval stamp from the new Stamp TV Kit, Shabby Spring from Gina K Designs. The shamrock is from a $1 stamp, which I fussy cut out and covered in some luscious Martha Stewart glitter. A gingham green ribbon and some adhesive rhinestones are my accents. I also used the Swiss Dots embossing folder to add some texture. Ta Da! lol
This card will be entered into these Challenges:
CASual Fridays to use Ovals.
CASology #88 Lucky.
Thanks so much for stopping by, it's good to be back in the atmosphere and not running the roads!

Thoughts Of You
Good Morning! The sun is shining, the snow is melting and I have cleared my schedule to play, play, play! Life is good! (knock on wood!)
Today's card was fun to make, just because I could spend a little time in the old craft room aka back guest bedroom!
I used the new Stamp TV Kit, Shabby Spring from Gina K Designs. This kit has some beautiful Spring Time images, butterflies, flowers, bird, several bird cages, all things that make you think (and LOVE) Spring!
Using the Sketch from My Favorite Things I mapped out my card.
I stamped the flower, leaves, and butterfly images onto card stock and then again on vellum. I also did the same when using the Sizzix leafy die. Spellbinders dies, small and large Labels. Ribbon, adhesive pearls.
This card will be entered into the following challenges:
Mod Squad Challenge Blog, color challenge, to use reds and browns.
My Favorite Things Sketch #169
Simon Says Monday, Transparent.
Short little post. Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

3D Paint
Well of course I have never even heard of this product, let alone used it. Therefore I did not have any on hand, so of course I turned to YouTube. I know it is not the same product that was highlighted in PTI's Video but in a pinch I think it worked!
So needless to say today's card will be for the Challenge at PaperTrey Ink, 3D Stamp Paint Techniques.
Using the Lovely Layers Dies I cut out the 4 pieces of my flower, and then after mixing up my concoction (see YouTube Link Above) I painted them. I also added some glitter and Pearl Ex to the mix, but you really can't tell. The glitter you do see on the flower was added after all was dry. A center brad holds the flower together. The Designer Papers are from DCWV, Latte Stack, so rich in colors! Spellbinders Classic and Scalloped Oval Dies, Fiskars Border Punch, Stampin' Up Inks in Always Artichoke and Elegant Eggplant. The stamp set is also by PTI, Lovely Layers. Gina K Designs ribbon and Pure Luxury base card stock of Jelly Bean Green. Sizzix Branch With Leaves Die. A few adhesive rhinestones complete my card.
You can see the thickness and texture my concoction has created on my flower.
Thanks so much for stopping by, as always it is appreciated!

St. Paddy's Day!
Today's card was for yesterday's Holiday and the Challenge over at Simon Says Monday Challenge, Lucky!
Nothing luckier than a shamrock right? I used a couple of $1 stamps to create this. So perhaps our Hubby's are right, you DON'T have to spend a lot of money to craft! hahaha Maybe we should just keep that little fact here....no need to tell them!
Stamped the background with a Shamrock stamp, then added some little dots here and there with a Sakura Glitter Pen. Fiskars Border Punch and some Shamrock ribbon from my stash. I cut a 2 layer Shamrock out with my Cameo, topped with glitter and an adhesive rhinestone.
Hope your St. Paddy's Day was a lucky one for you!
On Sunday I cooked a corned beef, not my favorite meal, but I bake it now rather than boil it (ew!) much tastier! I used this recipe: For The Love Of Cooking! It is delicious this way, try it!

CAS Roots
Hello My Friends!
Today's card was an easy one to make and the image makes me think of Spring....of gardens and seeds and planting. I. Can. Not. Wait. :)
It's clean and simple......and cute. This will be entered into the CASology #86, Roots.

Doesn't that image just make you want to grab your gardening gloves? Ahhhhh...... Another little note card measuring 4.25 x 4 inches. The stamp set is, Garden Dreams, from Flourishes, as is the die, Perfectly Pierced Frame. I colored the image with Copic Markers and then trimmed it down matting it on a piece of Turquoise Sea card stock, which is also the base. I also added a bit of paper piercing to the 4 corners. Not a fancy card, but I love the theme, so I have added it to my favorites!
Thanks for stopping by my friends!

Fight Like A Girl
Good Morning! My card today will be entered into 2 Challenges, Flourishes, It's A Wash, to add Washi Tape and for Simon Says, Mother's Day/Special Girl.
This is a very empowering stamp set from Flourishes, Fight Like A Girl!!! I LOVE IT! Full of supportive sentiments and lovely images! I added 2 different Washi Tapes, a solid pink and then a pink and black polka dotted one, which is layered over the solid one. The image is colored with Copic Markers. I used Spellbinders, Classic and Scalloped Oval dies. A flourish of black adhesive pearls, more black adhesive pearls and a few pink adhesive rhinestones. I love everything about this card.....especially the wonderful friend I made it for. xoxo
Thanks so much for stopping by , I absolutely appreciate you doing so!

Just A Little Distress
Hello Again!
Today I have just a little something to show you. It's just a little note card. With just a little color blocking and just a little distressing.
This will be entered into the MIUM Challenge at Stamp TV, color blocking and the Simon Says Monday Challenge, add a little distressing.

Using Stazon Inks in pumpkin, blazing red, and teal blue, I just smooshed the ink pad right on to the card stock and trimmed it down when all was dry. The base measures 4.25 x 3.5 inches. I layered the inked piece to a piece of Pure Luxury, Turquoise Sea, by Gina K Designs. I distressed the edges of the card stock to add just a bit of texture. The image is from her Botanicals set and the sentiment is from, A Little Something. One designer brad and this is complete.
Simple. Sweet. Complete.

Celebrations & Confetti
Hello My Friends!
Today's card will be entered into the Make It Monday Challenge over at PTI and I used the sketch from My Favorite Things.
Today's card will be entered into the Make It Monday Challenge over at PTI and I used the sketch from My Favorite Things.
Using the dies from the Lovely Layers #4 and City Scene, I was able to get several different shapes to make my confetti. Small and large flower, star burst and a sliver of moon. I used yellow, melon, and pink card stock for the confetti pieces. After running dies through my Cuttle Bug a bazillion times, I tossed all the pieces into a vellum envelope and adhered that to my dotty designer paper and then to my card base. I stamped the sentiment from Ruby Reprise on pink card stock and then layered it with some vellum that has a little confetti pattern on it. Toss in a bunch of pink rhinestones and wha la!
Hope you had an awesome day!

I do have another card with a Tag on it to show you now too! Here it is:
I used everything but the 'kitchen sink' on this tag/card. I had a lot of fun making it! Distress Inks in Broken China, Peeled Paint, & Spiced Marmalade, and Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I also used clear embossing powder on ART & JOY to make them shine and POP! Glimmer Mist in Crimson and Perfect Pearls Mist in Turquoise were also used. The Designer Paper is by K & Company. The card base is Pure Luxury Card Stock, Sweet Mango. Lots of miscellaneous items used; Corner Tabs, Paper Piercing, Corrugator, Honey Comb Embossing Folder, Pop Dots, Eyelets and Brads. Lace and Baker's Twine.
Stamps:
Stampendous Large Tag Stamp #P157 & (Follow Your) Art H289

Another FUN image to color, this gorgeous Iris from Gina K Designs, Stately Flowers 8. I think this is my 3rd one, and they are all different. The card base is GKD Pure Luxury, Blue Raspberry and the Designer Paper is a cheapo pack from Studio G for a DOLLAR, but I love the prints! Iris is colored with Copic Markers, and the sentiment is stamped with Stazon Ink, Teal Blue on to a small tag and sponged with green ink. A couple of enamel brads, a little bit of ribbon and some Baker's Twine and the card is complete. Happy Easter! :)
Thanks so much for stopping by, hope you are getting your craft on!

Lots Of Flowers
Just a little note card for today's Challenge entry. This is for the Capture The Moment, PTI Challenge #154, Color and Texture Tips for One Layer Cards. Erin has a great video, but I never thought this style card was one layer.....but she's in charge! :)
Using the stamp set, Ruby Reprise, and several Stampin' Up Inks, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, and Not Quite Navy, I just stamped flowers everywhere. The small flowers I also heat embossed with clear powder, to add texture and sheen--hard to see in a photograph. Stamped the sentiment, added a little bit of ribbon and this card was done. Easy Peasey!
Lots of cards were made this week, I find it very therapeutic!

Peachy Keen
Sometimes you're just in a coloring mood, especially on cold wintry days. Well I suppose I could also color on a pretty summer afternoon as well. HA! Today's card is for the Challenge over at Curtain Call, Perfectly Peach.
I must say I really love coloring this beautiful Orange Blossom image from the Stately Flowers 8 stamp set, available from Gina K Designs. Apparently it's okay to color them ANY color you would like. :) Stamped on ivory card stock and cut using the Perfectly Pierced die from Flourishes. The card base is GKD Pure Luxury, All Spruced Up and the Designer paper is from Authentique, Gathering Collection. This paper is GORGEOUS!!! I can not wait to rip into the rest of it! If you see it, definitely check it out! Trust me! I added a couple of eyelets and some ribbon and the card was completed. Simple. It just came together like *snap* Don't you love when that happens?
Thanks for popping in, hope you had FUN!
Enjoy~~
You Lift Me Up!
Today's card is for the CASology #85, Carnival Challenge and the MASKuerade Challenge at Flourishes. It's very clean, it's very simple, so not my style, but a Challenge is a Challenge. AND no extra postage again! lol
A very simple technique, to mask off a portion of your card stock so you can add color with a foam applicator (or sponge). I simply ripped some copy paper and taped it down to achieve this, on both ends. Stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored the 'basket' and then stamped the sentiment. Geez you could really whip up a stack of these in an afternoon. The stamp set is Lots Of Thoughts, by Flourishes. The sponged ink is from Stampin' Up, Not Quite Navy.
Short and sweet......enjoy your day!

Still Winter, Wish It Was Spring
Hello! Back again. Today's card will be entered into 2 Challenges, Stamp TV's MIUM, Is It Spring Or Winter--use Spring colors to make a Winter card, and My Favorite Things, Sketch Challenge.
Such a fun little card to make, once I figured out WHAT to do. This STV Challenge stumped me for several days! I think using the MFT Sketch helped me immensely!
The stamps are from the Let It Snow set, available from Gina K Designs. The card base is GKD Pure Luxury, Bubble Gum Pink and the Designer Paper is from My Mind's Eye, Love Me. I colored the image using Copic Markers, and then fussy cut it out. Spellbinders Classic Circle die for the pink background that is embossed with a Darice Folder, Snowflake Swirl, all mounted on a white doily. I heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of snowflake vellum. I then used several colors of Stickles for the snowman, tie, hat band and broom. It really sparkles and shines. :) The great thing about this card is that it will not need extra postage--YAY! That hardly happens in my house. lol
Thanks so much for stopping by!

CAS Hydrangea
Good Morning! Guess what? Another floral card. HA! I am willing Spring into our lives! Your Welcome!
A real simple (and not so clean???) card.
I love this stamp set, Hydrangeas, no longer available from Flourishes. Should we talk about Flourishes? I hope that Jan finds a buyer for the Company, what a sad day it would be to have them go out of business. :(
I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then taking my handy dandy old toothbrush I just flicked paint all over it in green, pink, blues and purple. That was fun! Adhered it to the Vibrant Violet Pure Luxury card stock and added a pretty purple ribbon. Done!
This card will be entered into the following Challenges:
CASology #84, Paint
Flourishes #260, Less = More
Mod Squad Blog Thinking Spring 2.0
Thanks for popping in.....see you soon.....I hope!!!
