Hydrangeas, Beautiful Hydrangeas

Hello Again!  Had a little bit of time so I made another card for the Challenge Judy is hosting over at Mod Squad Blog, Triple The Fun.  Thought I would try this great technique with this GORGEOUS Hydrangea stamp set from Flourishes.

I LOVE how it came out, hope you do too!

Colored with Copic Markers, a bit of purple twine and button, and some Liquid Pearl centers added to the flowers.  This flower is the quintessential Cape Cod flower for sure!  I can not wait for mine to grow big and strong and bloom.

Here's a photo from last year's 'hedge'.

Thanks for popping in.

May your day be a happy one!

Enjoy~~

Easy Like A Sunday Morning.....

Oh you know you'll all be singing that all day long.  You're Welcome!  :)

I finally made a card, haven't done so in a week....at least.  My work has picked up (which I am thankful for) and the weather has been nicer too, so I am in the gardens more and it's hard to find crafting time.  But, I do love this time of year, a time of renewal, of rebirth, of endless possibilities.  Aren't we lucky?

Today's card is for the Mod Squad Blog, Triple The Fun Challenge, hosted by one of my very own BFF's, Judy Woodland! Judy is challenging us to use the Triple Stamping Technique.  I remember awhile back when she made a card or two with this technique and showed us all over at STV, she learned it from this VIDEO by Frenchie.  She has some wonderful videos, check them out!  Anyways when Judy showed us all, it went viral all over again, I know we ALL tried it at least once.  Glad she brought it up again!

I used the Gina K Designs Stamp TV Kit, Shabby Spring.  I wanted to do a black and white card and then just use that hot pink for a POP of color, I think I will also enter this card into the Stamp TV Challenge, Make It POP With Black.

You can't really tell but I did POP up that small pink flower to add more depth.  Here's a close-up.

After watching the video you will have all the measurements you need to try this fabulous technique!  Looks harder than it is.

Thanks for stopping by!

Pink Fish

Good Afternoon!

Today's card is for the Challenge over at the Mod Squad Blog hosted by my dear friend, Karen Hightower!  The Challenge is to use a typical masculine stamp but make it a feminine card.  Here is what I have come up with.

I sponged a piece of white card stock using blue and green inks to create my sea.  I used the fish and seaweed images are from the By The Tide stamp set by Stampin' Up!  The sentiment is from Green Thumb Diva, by Gina K Designs.  I heat embossed the fish, in pink, on the base card stock, then I stamped another one in pink and fussy cut that out, using pop dots to place over the embossed fish, giving it some depth.  I tore pieces of paint chips to make the ocean floor, these particular ones have a great deal of texture, like sand paper.  Adding a bit of blue and orange Baker's Twine and some adhesive pearls, for bubbles and accents.  I also covered the seaweed and fish in a ton of Stickles in corresponding colors.   I am sure I can definitely send this to any gal here on Cape Cod!  ;)

Thanks for stopping by, so good to be in the craft room again.  My daughter treated me to a whole fun-filled weekend in the city for Mother's Day....oh the FUN we had!  I will have to upload some of the fabulous pictures we took.

Hope you all had wonderful Mother's Day....whether you are a daughter, a mother, or both, hope you were able to enjoy the day!

Today is also my Mother's 84th birthday!  Here's a picture of my Mom and my Daughter from last year's "birthday kidnapping".  Oh we gals know how to have some FUN!!!

Enjoy~~

Pretty In Pink, Fight Like A Girl

Hello again!

Today's card is for the Challenge at Curtain Call, Pretty And Pink!  I was walking with a girlfriend yesterday and she said she had a client who was diagnosed with breast cancer, I offered to make her a card and this is what I came up with.

This is such a powerful stamp set from Flourishes, Think Pink.....yet one I hope I never really use!  Spellbinders Classic and Scalloped Oval dies, images colored with Copic Markers as well as the adhesive pearls, and just a touch of ribbon.

Be well my friends!

Under The Sea

Good Monday Morning!

What a great weekend.  Nice weather, sunshine, gardening, crafting.....just super!  Hope you all enjoyed yours as well!

Today's card is for the Mod Squad Blog, One Layer Wonder.....talk about a Challenge!

I used images from the Stampin' Up! set, By The Tide and the sentiment is from Masculine Tags by Gina K Designs.   Again making a frame stencil and sponging with blue and green inks, then stamping images and sentiment on top.  After covering the focal point with card stock, I broke out my trusty old toothbrush, dipped it in some blue and green craft paints and then flicked the paint all over creating the specks.  I kind of love that technique AND it almost masked a big green ink smudge.....lower left corner.  ;)  I then added Stickles for the fish scales and some all over the specks of paint.  Still not crazy about a ONE layer or a NO layer, which I think this really is, but I will keep on trying.

Thanks so much for stopping in.

If you see Sharyn Polesel around, wish her the happiest of birthdays!  ;)

Here's today's little creation:

I used the Sketch from MFT:

I used the Flourishes stamp set, Lots Of Thoughts, the Happy Birthday sentiment is from Gina K Designs, Birthday Duo set.  Images colored with Copic Markers.  I used Die-Namics Blueprints 12 dies from My Favorite Things.  Added a bit of lace and some Adhesive Pink Pearls.  I love the feminine look of this birthday card, so pink, so frilly!

This card will be entered into the following Challenges:

Curtain Call  Pretty And Pink

CMC  Birthdays

Simon Says Wednesday  Anything Goes

Hope you have a HAPPY day!!!

Poppy Sketch #3

Good Morning!  After this post I hope to head out into the gardens all day long, wouldn't that be blissful?  Absolutely!!!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at Poppy Sketch #3 and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes.

Here's the Sketch.....with a POP of color!

I used the Simon Says stamp set and dies, Summer Garden.  I was lucky enough to win a $50 voucher a couple of weeks ago from Simon Says and this was one of the items ordered.  So cute, especially this time of year!  :)  The Designer Paper is from Gina K Designs, Wisteria Lane (I always think of Desperate Housewives lol)  The sentiment is stamped in Elegant Eggplant.  Images colored with Copic Markers.

Another card that may not need extra postage.....cha ching!

Thanks for coming by, hope you have a chance to get outside and play!

Enjoy~~

Lighting The Way

Good Afternoon!

Not a whole lot going on around here.  We've had quite a bit of rain lately even this morning, but now the sun is out and the day looks bright!  Hopefully it will be a gardening kind of weekend!  :)

Here's today's little creation:

One of those NO layer cards which freaks me out!  I love my layers, the more the better!  I used a Hero Arts stamp set, Decorative Lamps.  I made a small frame (stencil) out of some thick card stock and sponged More Mustard ink all over the opening on the base card stock.  Once dried I stamped the 3 different lamps on top.  I covered the stamped images and then using an old toothbrush dipped in yellow craft paint I flicked specks all over the front of the card.  Colored some adhesive pearls with a Copic Marker and decorated the lamps.  Simple.....thin.....done.  :)

This card will be entered into the following Challenges:

Mod Squad Blog, One Layer Wonder

CASual Fridays  Three Thirds

Simon Says Wednesday  Anything Goes

CASology  Electric

At least when mailing this card I won't need extra postage!  lol

Thanks again for stopping by!  And remember don't throw away your old toothbrushes!  ;)

Enjoy~~

Paper Scraps

Hello Friends!

Today's card is a mini note card which will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Paper Scrap Pie Charts and Simon Says Monday, Mellow Yellow.

A fun little technique, reminiscent of Iris Paper Folding or Quilting.  I used the Lovely Layers die and sentiment from Tags-it #2, both from Papertrey Ink.  Several yellow pattern Designer Papers and a red rhinestone center.   This mini note card measures 3.25" x 3.25" a perfect little gift card.

Fun technique, give it a try!

Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy~~
