Under The Sea Birthday

Hello again!

This card will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Monday, Based On A Book and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes

My card is based on the book , Mr. Limpet by Theodore Pratt....remember the movie starring Don Knots, The Incredible Mr. Limpet?

This card uses the Stampin' Up! set, By The Tide.  I made a water color background using inks in; Bermuda Bay, Island Indigo, Spiced Marmalade,Tempting Turquoise and Wild Wasabi.  My images were also water colored and then fussy cut out.  I spritzed the card front all over with some Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Gold.

Sentiment from Gina K Designs, Pleasant Plurals, stamped in Black Licorice ink.  A simple card but I really love it!

Thanks for swimming by!

Enjoy~~

Warm Spring Wishes

Good Morning!

Another Shaker card to share with you, this time it's a Spring theme!  This will be entered into the Challenges at Stamp TV, I Can See Clearly Now (to use acetate or vellum), Simon Says Monday, Transport It--think Mary Poppins lol and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

I used the Spellbinders Wellies die for my pretty rain boots, the MFT Layered Umbrella die and the Fabulous Frames die from Papetrey Ink.  My sentiment is by Gina K Designs, Spring Parade, stamped in Tempting Turquoise ink, must have had a bit of dark blue ink still on the stamp--oops!

Designer Paper is Garden Party by Pebbles.  Fun Foam to help make the Shaker portion and lots pf pretty glitters and sequins for the Shaker bits.  This is just a FUN card!

We have been having the most delightful Spring like weather, mid to high 50's....it's only February!  I am sure winter will return.....you know what they say about March......In Like A Lion, Out Like A Lamb!

Thanks for shaking in!

Enjoy~~

You've Got Moxie

Hello!  Quick little post.

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Stamp TV, I Can See Clearly Now (to use acetate or vellum), Simon Says Monday, Transport it, Scrapy Land, Add Texture and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

I guess I am on a masculine kick.  To be honest this card came out better in my head than on my blog.  I used the Gina K Designs stamp set, Vintage Chic.  I created a Shaker card using acetate.  Black Licorice ink.   Spellbinders Standard Circle die.

Swiss Dots Embossing Folder for texture.  Ribbon, Twine, Button and Sprocket for accents.  Washi Tape.  Star Sequins and Black and Silver Glitter for Shaker bits.

Thanks so much for pedaling by!

Enjoy~~

Good Morning!  Happy Saturday!

Back on the Dies R Us Inspirational Blog again to share a couple of Masculine cards with you.

I find these a bit difficult to make, BUT if you pick out a couple of awesome dies from the Dies R Us Store, they become much easier.  Let's take a look!

This CAS masculine card uses the fantastic dies, Birch Trio, by Memory Box and Snow Drifts by Die-Namics.  Cutting 2 rolling hills from the Snow Drift dies in Green card stock, I sponged the edges in Always Artichoke ink to add some depth.  Then I stamped my trees in Old Olive ink.  Cutting my Birch Trio several times I spritzed them with some Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Gold, this also adds a bit more depth to a very flat (and easily mailed) card. Stamps by Gina K Designs, Pleasant Plurals and Winter Wonderland

My sentiment was heat embossed in Green Embossing Powder on to a hand cut Vellum Strip.  A very simple Masculine card.

My second card is just as simple and manly.

I created my background by scoring every 1/2" on Ivory card stock.  Then I swiped ink pads in Bermuda Bay, Dove Gray and White inks.  This gives a nice aged look to the Wood Grain Technique.  Images stamped in Black Licorice ink on to a Spellbinders Perfectly Pierced Classic Frame.  I masked off my duck image to stamp the cat tail and reeds behind him.  Stamps by Gina K Designs, The Wetlands, colored with Copic Markers.

And what's a duck without feathers?  These are fun dies by Poppy Stamps, Drifting Feathers.  I first cut them in Tempting Turquoise card stock and again in Vellum.  Layering the two to give a different look.  Stickles in Waterfall and Yellow to add a bit of sparkle.

Other Hill and Feather dies that could be used:

Impression Obsession
Hill Landscape

Poppy Stamps
Stitched Hills

Impression Obsession
Feather Set

X Cut Dies
Filigree Feather

I used this Birch Tree Die:

Memory Box
Birch Trio

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy~~

You Make My Days Brighter

Back again, just had to finish up my PTI Homework.

This will be entered into the Challenge at Papertrey Ink, Past, Present And Future 2016.

I chose Heather's fabulous card shown here, where she used the Painted Petals set.

And just now I noticed her stitching at the top.....oopsie!

Here is my card, sans sewing:

I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets; Flower Favorites, Happy For You and Happy Hexagons.  Inks in Always Artichoke, Black Licorice, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz.  I didn't have a viny leaf stamp so I made do with the 3 leaf stamp that comes with the Flower Favorites set, which was kind of a pain in the neck as I had to keep masking it off, but I have achieved the look I was going for.

I have 2 inexpensive White ink pads, both were not any help in the stamping department.  :(  I decided to stamp the small flowers in Wild Honey Distress ink.  I also added some dots all over using a White Marker.  Iridescent Sequins for accents.  Washi Tape.

I can't believe I did not see that stitching until posting, I have been sewing all week on my cards.  I kept thinking it needed something along the top, and am mad at myself.  I suppose I could add it now.

Well all of my PTI Anniversary Homework is complete, it has been a lot of fun to create cards for this celebration AND I have actually cut into lots of that beautiful PTI paper that I bought--YAY!

Thanks for coming by.

Enjoy~~

Happy Easter

Good Monday Morning!

Picture It....Sicily.....The Year 2015.....no, that's not right lol

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Papertrey Ink, Past, Present And Future 2015.

I chose Laurie's gorgeous card shown here, she used the Brushed Blooms set.

Here's what I came up with:

I used the Papertrey Ink products; Flower Favorites, Garden Gate and Polka Dot Parade #1.  The Flag Banner is from MFT's Blueprints #12 die set.

Inks in; Black Licorice, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron and Wild Wasabi.  Designer Paper from my stash.  Darice Floral Embossing Folder for texture and a wee bit of Natural Twine.

Now on to 2016.....meet you there!

Enjoy~~

Celebration By The Sea

Good Monday Morning!

Back on the Dies R Us Blog again!  Today I will be sharing a Masculine Birthday card with you.

The dies from the Dies R Us Store made it so easy to create this Nautical Masculine card.  A theme that's near and dear to my heart!  I created my background using that fabulous Distress Windham Collage die by Memory Box.  Lighthouse by Gina K Designs, By The Sea stamp set.  Image colored with Copic Markers.

I die cut 3 of the Starfish from the Sand Dollar And Starfish set by Cheery Lynn.   Check out the texture on them, perfect!  I also sponged the edges a bit using Antique Linen ink.  I then placed them on top of the Distress Windham Collage opening, almost looks like they have been caught in fish net.  I layered the Curly Word Celebrate from Die Versions  3 times to create a chipboard like accent.

This particular die is no longer available but check out this one out, same great die, affordable price!

Sweet Wordlets Celebrate

Here's what I used:

A Garden Of Birthday Wishes

Good Morning!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Past, Present And Future 2014 and Simon Says Wednesday, Fantastic Florals.

This card is by Melissa and she used the Embellished Elements set.

Here is my interpretation:

I used the Daydreamer, Garden Gate and Simple Sunflowers stamp sets by Papertrey Ink.  Stamping flowers and leaves all around to make a pretty little frame.  Once I stamped my sentiment I knew I had to add just something more, so these scrolls worked perfectly.  Added a strip of Designer Paper and then paper pierced it on the edge.

I colored some Seam Binding Ribbon with a Copic Marker, made a Double Looped Bow and topped it with a pale pink button and some twine.  Inks in; Calypso Coral, Cherry Cobbler, Pear Pizzazz, Rose Red, Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi.  Corner Rounder.

Well I see that Year 2015 has hit my mailbox, off to play!

Enjoy~~

Be Happy

Back again!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at; Papertrey Ink, Past, Present And Future 2013 and  Simon Says Wednesday, Fantastic Florals.

I chose Melissa's beautiful card shown here, she used the Ruby Rose set.

And here is my creation:

Rustic White card stock and Berry Sorbet Designer Paper, both from Papertrey Ink.  Also from PTI; Vintage Linens stamps and dies and Pretty Petals stamp set.  Musical Notes Designer Paper from my stash.  Sentiment stamped in Black Licorice ink.

Flowers and leaves stamped in Calypso Coral, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Wild Wasabi inks.  Buttons and twine for accents.  I also stuck a bit of white tulle under the large flower for some added texture.   Corner rounder.

Super fun to create.  I have been having a ball with these Anniversary Challenges at PTI.  And I am happy to say I am caught up, although I did just see year 2014 hit my mail box. lol

Thanks for coming by, hope you are having a creative and fun weekend!

Enjoy~~

Happy Birthday

Good Morning!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Past, Present And Future 2012 and Simon Says Monday, Favorite Tool.....which is back to my Janome Mini Sewing Machine.  I am hooked on sewing on cards again!

I loved Betsy's card shown here, she used the Sentiment Signs set.

And here's what I created:

I used a few Papertrey Ink products; Happy For You, Pretty Petals and Shakers & Sprinkles stamp sets.  And I loved Betsy's card soooo much I cut into several packs of that 19 paper pad collection I have been hoarding lol.  Rustic White card stock, Designer Papers in; Bitty Star Basics, Classic Kraft, Damask Design, Funky Town and Green Boutique! So there!

The flag cuts were made using MFT's Blueprints #12 die set.  I stitched them right to the Classic Kraft Designer paper.  The frame round Happy Birthday was hand cut and popped up on itty bitty pieces of Fun Foam.  Inks in; Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party. Tempting Turquoise, Wisteria Wonder and Perfect Plum

I really love the Subway Tile look of Betsy's design!

Thanks for all of the sunshine and happiness, smiles and JOY!

Enjoy~~

Hello There

Good Morning!

Back again with a little card to share with you.  This will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Past, Present And Future 2011, Simon Says Monday, Favorite ToolSimon Says Wednesday, Fantastic Florals and Scrapy Land, Add Texture.

I CASED Debbie's card shown here, she used the Tremendous Treats Valentine set.

Here's what I came up with:

I used the Papertrey Ink products; Classic Kraft and Men Of Life Designer Papers and Rustic White card stock, Vintage Linens stamp set.   Black Licorice ink.  Copic Markers.  I sewed on the panel strip, which adds a bit of texture and is my favorite tool that I used on this card.  The ribbon topped with button and twine also adds lots of texture.  The image is stamped on a square of card stock which has been mounted to a Spellbinders Captivating Squares die cut.  Sakura Black Glaze Pen added to flower center.

The sun is shining and the temps could hit 50 in the next couple of days, which means our snow will be melting and Spring can't be too far off!

Thanks for coming by.

Enjoy~~

Blessed

Good Afternoon!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Past Present And Future 2010, Simon Says Monday, Favorite Tool, Simon Says Wednesday, Fantastic Florals, and Scrapy Land, Add Texture.  My favorite tool for this card has to be my die cutting machine, my Big Shot.  How I used a Cuttlebug for so long is beyond me.  :)

I fell in love with Melissa's card shown here, where she uses the Where Love Lives set:

Here's what I came up with:

So much FUN to make!  I used the Papertrey Ink products; Shakers & Sprinkles dies, Counting My Blessings die (Blessed) and the Daydreamer stamp and die sets.  It's kind of funny but I just got my order of 19 paper pads from PTI and I couldn't bear to cut into one piece--it is a sickness!  lol

I created my little house by die cutting 2 of the smallest squares from the Spellbinders Lacy Squares die set, I cropped one to make the roof.  Swiss Dots Embossing Folder for texture.  My background Designer Paper is covered with a layer of 'dotty' Vellum.  Heart and Pale Yellow Button, Sheer Pink Ribbon, and Striped Pink Enamel Dots all for accents.  Corner Rounder.  Inks in Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz and Wild Wasabi.

I think this could be used for a Happy Spring card, an Easter one or even for a New Home.  Love it!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Now I am only 2 years behind in the PTI Challenges lol

Enjoy~~
