Wallpaper Stamping

Good Morning!  One day closer to the weekend!  ;)

Today's card is for the Papertrey Ink Make It Monday Challenge, Diamond Wallpaper Stamping.

I used 3 different stamps from PTI, Polka Dot Parade #1, Ruby Reprise, and Tag-It's #2.   I first scored my base card stock and then stamped the pattern.  I used Spellbinders Classic and Scalloped Circle dies.

I did not have a diamond or long line type of PTI Stamp, so I improvised and scored my card stock on the diagonal, every 1/2 inch, seemed to work quite well.

I also added a dot of yellow and green Sakura Glitter Pen to each flower center.

If you enjoy making your own Designer Paper you should definitely checkout Ashley's video HERE.

Another beautiful sunshiny day.  Hope yours is a good one too!

Enjoy~~

Beach Babes Birthday Card

Good Afternoon!  Such a wonderful day!

Today's card is for 2 Challenges; Art Impressions, Big Birthdays and for Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes.

As most of you know my Mom moved to town in May, to a wonderful Assisted Living Place 10 minutes form my home.  I am one lucky girl!!!  She has made so many new friends and has a great group of people she shares her meals with.  Oh the poor thing, yesterday she did not care for her lunch.....I felt bad....until I found out what it was.....Lobster Ravioli.....yeah, such a problem!  I am sure she made up for it by having 2 desserts!  Anyways one of her new found friends will be celebrating her 90th....yes, I said 90th birthday on August 10th.  I don't think a birthday gets much bigger than that!!!  I know this woman and I NEVER would have guessed she would be turning that number.  She is always dressed to the nines, still drives, and is the only person of 6 at my Mom's table, who does NOT have a walker.....go figure.  So this card is for her and my Mom will have everyone at the table sign it.

I used the Art Impressions stamp set, Girlfriends (Beach Babes?) #UM3577, so fun and fabulous, right?  What a hoot these gals are!  Colored with Copic Markers and I added lots of glitz with different colored Sakura Glitter Pens and Stickles.  (hard to see how it shimmers and shines here).  I think my Mom and the gals (there is 1 man at their table as well) will get a big kick out of this card.  The inside was stamped with the coordinating sentiment, Friends never judge each other...everyone else, however, is fair game.  PERFECT!!!  With such an image I try to keep it as simple as possible, to let the real beauty (or humor) of the stamp shine through!

Thanks for stopping by, so happy you did!

Make It Monday

Good Afternoon!  Just another working Saturday.....boo.....

Today's card is for the Challenge over at PaperTrey Ink # 173, No Outline Watercolor.  Sounds easy, right?  Not for me.....might as well be a CAS Challenge.  lol

Heather Nichols has a wonderful VIDEO and her card comes out beautifully, like a Parisian piece of art left in the rain.  (love that look!).  I may have to watch this video again and again.

I used the PTI stamp sets, Ruby Reprise and Tag-It's #2 for this card.  I also used my new Derwent Watercolor Pencils--these things are truly awesome, just wish I had more time to work with them.  In the Fall I shall.   I stamped the flower image in Antique Linen ink and then colored each flower.  When dry I added Liquid Pearl centers.  Nothing fancy!

I do love the look of Heather's card and the entries as well, so I will have to practice, practice, practice!

Hope you are all having a wonderful day, thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy~~

Rainbow Medallion

Good afternoon!

This is a simple little technique that really packs a punch!  You should check out the video over at Papertrey Ink.  This card will be entered into their Challenge, Rainbow Medallions.

I used 8 different inks for this technique, pick them out before you just start stamping willy nilly.  :)

The stamp set is from PTI, Lovely Layers, as well as the die used.   I added a little tag for the sentiment.  This card measures only 3" x 3", a perfect little gift card.  The only other accent is a Sakura Glitter Pen used on the center of the flower die cut.

Hope you all are enjoying this glorious day!  I work tomorrow and then have all day Sunday to do as I please....I will be spending it in the gardens.  I can't wait to get up and just sit with a cup of coffee, and then get dirty!  It's been another long work week!

Enjoy~~

About Face

Good Morning!  Hope all is well in cyber space.

Today's card is for the Simon Says Monday Challenge, About Face.   I chose to use the Bloomer Set from Art Impressions.   This set cracks me up and I am giving this card to my Mom so she can send it to one her most favorite gal pals, Val......say that 10 times fast!  lol

hahaha she cracks me up!  I think this is how every adult woman looked to me as a kid in my neighborhood.....let's just hope none of them are reading this post.  lol

The inside of my card looks like this:

The cool thing about this set is that it comes with one of those little 'gizmos', Action Wobble Springs, that you can attach to image and card base that make it go BOING!  How fun!!!  Images colored with Copic Markers.  Quite a CAS card, but may just bring a super smile to Val.

Thanks for coming by.  Work is CRAZY, but will end at some point.  Hope you all are doing well....me.....I am exhausted!  lol

Summer Lovin'

Good Afternoon!

For 3 days it has been trying so hard to rain without any avail!  Now it is here and I am happy.....my gardens are happy too!

Today's card will be entered into the CASual Fridays Challenge, Summer Lovin', to use hearts in summer colors somewhere on your card or project.

Here is my card:

I used a little heart paper punch to create my summer hearts, then placed them on a little flag die cut out.  The sentiment is a perfect match, it's by Flourishes, Hydrangeas set.  A little ribbon and a rhinestone complete this creation.  Nothing fancy, very CAS (yup, a hard style for me to make!)

Thanks for popping in!

By The Deep Blue Sea

Good afternoon, hope you're all enjoying this beautiful day!

Today's card is a nautical themed one with lots of texture, I used the sketch from My Favorite Things.

I have added lots of texture to this, the Swirls Embossing Folder, a little bit of cork cut out using a Spellbinder's Scalloped Circle die (the cork has an adhesive backing) and a small scrap of burlap.  The stamp set is By The Sea 2, from Gina K Designs

This card will be entered into the following Challenges:

MFT Sketch Challenge

Mod Squad, Love That Texture!

Stamp TV, It's Nautical What You Think

Thanks so much for popping in, you know how I enjoy your company!  ;)

Enjoy~~

You Can Never Be Too Young Or Too Thin lol

Good Morning!  Time for a quick post as the Challenge clock is TICKING!!!  (oops the clock ran out on one of the Challenges, sorry Curtain Call--lol)

Here's my latest card:

I got my stamp order from Art Impressions, super FAST!  The image is from the Laughing Set (#4385) and the sentiment is from Girlfriends (#UM3577).  My girlfriend, Diana turns 60 this year, shhhhh, so I think this will be a perfect card for her.  Friends through thick and thin (mostly thick on my end, wink, wink.)  Image colored with Copic Markers.  Chevron Embossing Folder on the pink background.  A little bit of lace placed behind the focal image to compliment the doily halves at top and bottom.  A sprig of white leaves, edges shaded in pink and a home made white rose, also shaded with pink, which was created by layering several Spellbinders Scalloped Circle dies using white tissue paper, a center pink brad to hold them all together.  And a few accents of pink rhinestones.  All in all, I think she may enjoy this card!  I can see I will get a lot of mileage from these stamps, especially when I mix and match the sentiments and images.

This card will be entered into the following Challenges:

Art Impressions to use a doily.

Mod Squad love that texture.

Simon Says Monday start from scratch.

Thanks for popping in, off to grocery shop before work, while everyone else is still asleep.  Oh JOY!

Enjoy your day!

You Color My World

Good Afternoon!  I trust you all enjoyed the long Holiday weekend!  We had an extra guest, Arthur....thankfully he didn't bother us too much, just a nice long downpour, crazy winds and a few little branches down.  The Cape was super lucky!

Today's card is a mini, measures just 3" x 3".  I am entering it into the Mod Squad Blog Challenge, Marvelous Minis, to make a small card measuring 2.5" x 3.5" or a 3" square, which is what I have made.

I used a sweet little stamp set by Taylored Expressions, A Life She Loved.  Image colored with Copic Markers.  Added a bunch of adhesive rhinestones, a little ribbon tab and 2 corner punches.  Base card stock is Blue Raspberry by Gina K Designs.

And that's all she wrote.....(another Nana-ism  ;)  )

Thanks for stopping by, appreciate it!

Enjoy~~

Another Little Baby Card

Good Morning!  Happy 2nd of July, I am sure we will all be busy on the 4th!

Today's card will be entered into the Art Impressions Challenge to use sequins!  How FUN!  I have just placed my very first order with AI and am patiently awaiting their arrival.  (okay by waiting patiently I mean stalking my mail lady.....but she's used to that!....I can not wait to get my hands on these!)  lol  Here are the first 3 sets I have ordered, they are super cute and I have many girlfriends that should benefit from these gems!  ;)

And here is my card using sequins:

I found my inspiration on Pinterest of course.  Made a sweet little envelope from It's A Girl designer paper.  Absolutely love the little tab insert with ribbon and button accents.   Spellbinders Classic and Scalloped Circle dies used.   2 different pink ribbons adorned with sequins as well as sequin accents added to each corner and one topped on the button.  This is for new baby, Kaitlyn Genevieve, such a precious little sweet pea!   I used the Gina K Designs stamp set, Basket Blessings, just perfect to welcome any newborn!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a fun 4th of July with family and friends, and be safe!!!

Enjoy~~
