A Song In My Heart

Good Morning!

Donna Phelan back again on the Tutti Designs Inspiration Blog!

One more card using a fabulous Musical Instrument from the June Release.  So many choices, you need to get yourself over to the Tutti Designs Store.  So many wonderful dies for all of your card making needs!

Today I have used this Tutti Designs die, I think it is one of my favorites!

This time around I cut my Piano out from Black Glitter Paper and backed it with White Glitter Paper and Gold Foiled Toner Paper.  Every little detail POPS!  I also cut it from a piece of Chipboard and adhered them all together.   Once again making a nice sturdy Chipboard piece.  Love that!

My Musical Note Designer Paper became the perfect backdrop for the gorgeous Piano as well as for my perfectly worded sentiment.  A bit of Sheer Pink Ribbon.  Gina K Designs stamp set, Because Of You Duo, PTI stamp set, Shakers and Sprinkles.  Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio die.

Quick.

Easy.

Beautiful.

Happy Birthday Violin

Good Morning!

Donna Phelan back again on the Tutti Designs Inspiration Blog!

Today I will be sharing a Masculine Birthday card with you.

The Tutti Designs Store has so many wonderful dies for all of your card making needs!  This month we are enjoying Musical Instruments, check out the June Release!  So many instruments and each and every one amazingly detailed!

Here's the great die I chose to use for today!

I die cut this fantastic Violin from Chipboard and Brown card stock, layered the 2 together and then backed with a piece of White card stock so the details would show through.  I then smooshed Versa Mark ink all over the front of the cut, covered it with Clear Embossing Powder, heated it to seal, and now I had an awesome shiny, glossy Chipboard die cut to play with!

I thought to show off this wonderful instrument I would create a wood grained background.  Taking my White card stock I scored every 1/2 inch.  Then using many inks I just swiped them up and down the scored paper until I got the look I liked.  I think the background really compliments the wooden Violin.  Stamped some musical notes and my Happy Birthday sentiment in Raven Black, which I also covered and heated with Clear Embossing Powder, to add some shine. Both stamp sets by Gina K Designs; Just A Note and Birthday Blessings.  And why place the panel on straight when you can add a jaunty look to it and make it all wonky???

Double D, Balck & White With a POP Of Color

Good Morning!

A brand new Challenge is up and running over at the Double D Challenge Blog.

Here's something to get you in the mood to create:

And here's what I created:

I started with a Papertrey Ink die cut from the Shakers And Sprinkles Kit and then added the dotted cut outs using their Mix And Mat Flourish die.  I stamped one of the floral images from the Penny Black, Blooming Gardens, stamp set 3 times, once on the die cut panel and then two more times on White card stock which I fussy cut out. (the 3rd time I only used the yellow blossoms)

Images colored with Copic Markers.  Stickles in Yellow and Lime Green for some sparkle.  Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ebony for accents.  My sentiment is stamped in Raven Black ink and is from the Power Poppy set, Potted Primroses

I took the Black And White With A POP Of Color.....literally!  lol  Yellow Blossoms popped up using Foam Dots.  Love the dimension it creates.

Please come on over to the Double D Blog and join in all of the FUN!  You'll be glad you did, because there is a wonderful prize up for grabs!

Thanks so much for coming by.....now go play along!

Enjoy~~

Just A Note

Good Morning!

Donna Phelan back again on the Tutti Designs Inspiration Blog.

Today I m sharing an elegant Golden Harp card with you all.

The Tutti Designs Store has so many wonderful dies for all of your card making needs!  This month it's all about Musical Instruments, check out the June Release!

I used this FUN little die from Tutti Designs.  Again, so much detail!

I knew immediately that this Harp had to be Gold Foiled, no ifs, ands, or buts about it!
Zing went my harp strings....or something like that!  :)

I first die cut the Harp from Chipboard and then Toner Paper, which I proceeded to run through my Mini Minc Machine with Gold Foil.  I then layered the 2 together to make a lovely chipboard piece.  I want my die cuts to come to life with a bit of depth and dimension.  If you notice when cutting dies from card stock or Designer Paper (alone) the cuts tend to lay there and look flat.  I find by adding a layer or 2 makes it really POP and gives it a life all of its own!

I added lots of Gold Foil accents.  My Designer Paper was foiled as were the layers between.  I even Heat Embossed my sentiment in Gold Powder tying it all together.  Gina K Designs, Just A Note stamp set.  Raven Black ink.

Piano Music

Good Morning!

Donna Phelan back on the Tutti Designs Inspiration Blog.

Here's a great little card full of friendship and song.

The Tutti Designs Store has so many wonderful dies for all of your card making needs!  This month it's all about the music!  Just check out these glorious musical instruments in the June Release.

I used this fabulous Piano  from Tutti Designs!  So much detail!

There is so much detail in this Piano die I wanted to make sure I captured it all.  I first cut the die out in a White Glitter Paper.  Then I backed the negative spaces with Black Glitter Paper and Gold Foiled Toner Paper.  It really makes all of that amazing detail POP!   I even think Liberace would enjoy playing this!

I also added Corner Tab Punches to frame in my focal image.  A beautiful sentiment and musical notes from Gina K Designs, Just A Note stamp set, to compliment my amazing Piano  and I was done.  Raven Black ink.  This card really SINGS!!!

Double D, Pastel Party

Good Morning!

A brand new Challenge is up and running over at the Double D Challenge Blog.

Here's what I created.

And don't worry this was made in April so, no, I did not miss Mother's Day!

These are pastel colors, but I think my lighting makes them look brighter.  My pretty pink card stock has Swiss Dots texture added.  Then I layered the  Papertrey Ink die, Mix And Mat--Flourishes on top.  My flowers are by Cheery Lynn, Cherry Blossom.  Each flower has an Adhesive Pearl center.  Inside are 2 corner dies (top right, bottom left) also by Cheery Lynn, Lace Corner Deco H.

My sentiment is by MFT, Sweet Roses and is stamped in Brutus Monroe Raven Black ink onto a PTI die cut, Fun Frames.    I colored a bit of natural twine with a Copic Marker and attached my Heart charm to the Sheer Pink Ribbon and Bow for accent.  Then added a few more Adhesive Pearls.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Now head on over to the Double D Blog and join in all of the FUN!  Another wonderful prize is up for grabs!

Birthday Blessings

Good Afternoon!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at; Stamp TV, What's Black And White And Gold (just a touch of gold), Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes and Stamping Sensations, Anything With Flowers.

I used several stamp sets by Gina K Designs, Botanicals, Birthday Blessings and Folk Filigree all stamped in Raven Black ink.  My dies are by MFT; Cross Stitched Rectangles and Blueprints # 12.  I have also used a few butterflies from the Memory Box die set, Butterfly Exhibit.  3 small ones layered together and a larger one on the inside.

Designer Paper from my stash.  Gold Foiled Textured Paper.  Button and Twine.  Mini Adhesive Pearl.  My sentiment was stamped on a Vellum Strip in Raven Black ink, coated in Clear Embossing Powder and heated.  You know me and my smudging abilities lol

The black panel has been backed with Fun Foam to make the base nice and sturdy and to give it some oomph!  The flag banner cuts are only adhered at the top letting them curl up a bit at the bottom, which adds a bit more dimension.

Happy 4th Of July to you all.  Time to get the BBQ going!

Enjoy~~

Happy 70th, Friend

Only you're not 70.....that was last year lol

Ever make one of those mistakes?  Well I have made it twice within days....you'll see another card soon with the same issues.  Dear friends have birthdays coming in July and August, thought they were both going to be 70.....nope that was last year....for both of them lol  I'll figure out something, or just give them their youth back!  HA!

Anyways this card will be entered into the Challenges at; Stamp TV. Creating Envelopes and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

I found this fabulous Designer Paper in my stash, DCWV, Lace And Linens, pretty, romantic prints!  I stitched 3 of the different prints together with my Janome Mini Sewing Machine.   Then I just started die cutting and layering card stocks together.....FUN!!!  Spellbinders Captivating Squares, Beaded Ovals, Standard Circles and Hearts dies used.  The Happy die cut is by Cheery Lynn and has been colored with a Copic Marker as it was cut out of White card stock.

Lots of accents too!  Doily, sponged with Antique Linen ink.  Seam Binding Ribbon colored with a Copic Marker--years ago I bought a large roll of white for just this purpose--so economical!  Lace, Rhinestone Circle and Adhesive Pearls.  Gina K Designs stamp sets; A Little Something, Fill It With Flowers, Lovely Shelf and Simple Numbers.  Ink in Blushing Bride.

Matching Ivory Envelope stamped in Blushing Bride ink using the Gina K Designs stamp set, Birthday Blessings.

I love when I can just layer up anything and everything and it still comes out quite pretty!  YAY!

Thanks for stopping by.

Enjoy~~
