Book Marks

Good Morning!

I was having a very hard time wrapping my head around Marcella's Challenge over at Power Poppy, Coloring Outside The Lines.....ooooh man, this is a tough one for me.....but I think I finally have come up with something.  These will also be entered into the Challenges at Simon Says Monday, Powder Power and Simon Says Wednesday, Gift It.

So here we go!

I used the Short Stacks and the Go Wild stamp sets from Power Poppy.  All sentiments and images embossed in Black Embossing Powder.  Then using Distress Inks in Fired Brick and Squeezed Lemonade I added my color all around.  Large Eyelet and Floss to complete the book mark.

This one uses the Potted Primrose stamp set by Power Poppy. Again images and sentiment embossed in Black Embossing Powder.  Distress inks in Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed and Salty Ocean.  Large Eyelet, Floss and Vellum to complete the book mark.

Using my water brush I also dropped water all over to lift some of the inks off, kind of love that look.

Tough Challenge, but I am glad I at least tried it!

Thanks for coming by.

Enjoy~~

Joyful Christmas Tag

Hello!

I was in a Christmas kind of mood.  I made a tag that I will enter into the Challenges at Cheery Lynn, Vintage and Simon Says Monday, Powder Power.

I used the largest die from the MFT Traditional Stitched Tags.  I thought that the Bottle Brush stamps from the Papertrey Ink stamp set,  Joyful Christmas would make for a lovely Vintage tag.  Trees stamped in Dove Gray, Pear Pizzazz and Pink Pirouette inks.  I sponged Antique Linen ink on all die cuts, to give them an aged look.  Cheery Lynn die, Holly Leaf 4.  Spellbinders Ribbon Banner die for my sentiment.

My Seam Binding Ribbon was colored using a pale pink Copic Marker, I then soaked it in water and then dried it with my heat gun, this gives it a bit of pucker.  Trees were covered with a Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Pen.  I also 'painted' on some Pearl Ex Pigment Powders in  Duo Green-Yellow and Flamingo Pink on my Holly and Berries.  The pink powder colored my white mini pearls too.

Buttons, Twine, Lace and Adhesive Pearls for accents.

A FUN Christmas Tag to create!

Thanks for coming by!

Enjoy~~

The Gift Of Peace

Good Monday Morning!

Back on the Dies R Us  Blog today!

This card measures 4 1/4 squared.  I used the silhouette of the Bird On Branch die cut by Impression Obsession.  This was cut from Black card stock and then I smooshed my Versa Mark ink all over it and heat embossed some Clear Powder on it.  It gives it quite the little shine.

My background was created using Distress Inks in; Broken China, Salty Ocean and Weathered Wood.  I then added drops of water to lift some of the ink off.  Taking my Versa Mark Pen I dotted all around and added White Embossing Powder which was heat set.  I also added some Dazzling Diamonds (think Stickles) so it looks like a cold, crisp, starry night!  This was all adhered to a Spellbinders Captivating Squares die cut.

Sentiment, by Gina K Designs, Wishing You Joy, was also heat embossed in White.  Adhesive Pearls for accent.

Enjoy~~

Here's what I came up with:

Black, White and Kraft card stock.  Image colored with Copic Markers, Black Licorice ink.  Sizzix Tags And Labels Framelits die, which I layered in all 3 colors.  Eyelet, Jute Twine and Crystal Drops in Ebony for accents.

Loved this inspirational photo.   It's good to be back in the craft room.

Thankful & Sunflowers

Hello!  What a glorious day here.  This is the best time of year!  Love it!

This card will be entered into the Challenge at Papertrey Ink, Using Florals On A Masculine Project.

I used the Papertrey Ink products; Simple Sunflower stamp and dies sets and the thankful from the Counting My Blessings die set.  Inks in Always Artichoke, More Mustard and Timber Brown.  I ran the Kraft card stock through my handy dandy corrugator, lends texture and a more masculine feel.

Thick Jute Twine and Adhesive Rhinestones for accents.  It's manly!

Thanks so much for popping by!  Trying to get back in the swing of things with work and crafting!

Enjoy~~

Charming Gardeners

Good Monday Morning!

Back on the Dies R Us Blog today!

Even though this card has some gorgeous flowers and a lovely gardening sentiment, I thought a Black and White palette would still let you see all the beauty this garden has to offer.  I used the Spellbinders dies; Fanciful Lattice and Labels 4 to create my base and my sentiment die cut using White card stock.  Ink in Black Licorice.

I die cut the beautiful Cherry Blossom Branch by Cheery Lynn twice, once in White and again in Black.  I snipped off the White blossoms and layered on to the Black die cuts with 3 dimensionals,  flipping up the centers as I went along to add a bit more depth.  Then I topped them with flat Pearl Adhesives.   I love how they frame my sentiment.  Sheer Black Ribbon, to tie it all together.

I just adore this sentiment!!!  It's by Gina K Designs, Friends.

Enjoy~~

Here's my 1st card

I saw a beautiful card on Pinterest by Yoonsun Hur and wanted to try my hand at it I used the sentiment from Wonderful Words and the Lotus Flower image from Mon Ami with matching die Mon Ami Fleur.  To create my background I used a damp sponge paint brush and just painted on some Daffodil Delight ink, moving back and forth across my card stock.  Flower colored with Copic Markers, sentiment stamped in Black Licorice ink.  Crystal Drops in Dandelion Yellow and mini Adhesive Rhinestones for accents.

My 2nd card

This card uses the Casual Comfort image and sentiments from Mon Ami and the Love Ya die.  I stamped my images in Pink Pirouette ink and centered my smaller sentiment.  Then lining up my Love Ya die I cut that from my stamped background, making sure I kept every little bit of die cut, positive and negative.  Then I cut the Love Ya die 4 more times from pale pink card stock.

I adhered my background panel to a layer of pale pink card stock and then to my card stock base.  This makes it much easier to layer the die cut parts back into the negative space.  Make sure you layer the stamped cut last.

It adds a nice POP to the card.

A strip of Designer Paper and a few randomly (wink, wink) placed sequins for accents.

So let's see AND hear what your cards have to say!

Glorious Sunflower

One for the road.............

This card will be entered into the Challenges at; Simon Says Monday, Stamp it, Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes, Simon Says Work It Wednesday, Use A Stamp, Stamping Sensations, One For The Boys, and Penny Black, Add A Sentiment.

I totally fell in love with this glorious Sunflower die by Cheery Lynn, isn't it fantastic???  I layered 2 different yellow card stocks together here, sponging the edges a bit to give off a bit more depth and dimension.  Creating a frame from Spellbinders Labels 4, I then filled it using the Papertrey Ink Hexagon Cover Plate.....now that adds so much depth!

Fall Leaves from Cheery Lynn as well.  Sentiment from Pleasant Plurals by Gina K Designs stamped in Black Licorice ink on to a Spellbinders Ribbon Banner die.  A dusting of  Pearl Ex on to the Fall Leaves, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder and Crystal Drops in Dandelion Yellow for accents.

Just glorious!!!

Thanks for coming by, love it when you do.......

And we're off................well almost!

A Cheery Hello

Back again.....maximizing my time before vacation.

This card will be entered into the Challenges at; Simon Says Monday, Stamp It, Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes, Simon Says Work It Wednesday, Use A Stamp, Paper Smooches Anything Goes, Cheery Lynn, Lace and Penny Black, Add A Sentiment.

This time I chose another fabulous image from the Potted Primroses stamp set by Power Poppy.  So much fun to color, they really make me happy!   Using the Cheery Lynn Burlap die as my backdrop, I think it reminds me of lattice work in this setting, I began to build my garden.  I then added a layer of lace to surround my focal images.  Primroses stamped on an MFT Stitched Rectangles die cut and colored with Copic Markers.

Paper Smooches Foliage 1 die cut in a bright green card stock to pull from the colors of my leaves.  Sentiment stamped in Black Licorice ink.  Mini Adhesive Pearls, Green Candy Dots and Large White Enamel Dots for accents.  Wink Of Stella Clear on flowers.

VERY Cheery!

Thanks for popping in!

Enjoy~~

Joyful Birthday Wishes

Good Morning!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at; Simon Says Monday, Stamp It, Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes, Simon Says Work It Wednesday, Use A Stamp and Penny Black, Add A Sentiment.

I used the beautiful Potted Primroses stamp set by Power Poppy.  Images colored with Copic Markers.  I thought the pretty posies would be showcased nicely inside the Papertrey Ink Fabulous Frames die.  I cropped some leaves off of the Cheery Lynn Cherry Blossom die and also cropped their Fanciful Flourish die.  I like the way the flourish hugs the 'polaroid frame'.

EK Success Butterfly Trio punch layered in black card stock, Designer Paper and topped with Vellum.  Gingham Ribbon and Adhesive Pearls for accents.

I fussy cut that single Primrose and popped it up for a bit of dimension.

May all of your days be joyful!

Enjoy~~
