Kraft on kraft with green....eh.....has a very natural look about it.....like recycling!  lol  I used the stamp sets Stamp It Big and Tropical Flowers by Gina K Designs.   Marvy Flower punch, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder and corner rounder.  I also colored the Adhesive Pearls using Copic Markers.  Panel is popped up to add dimension.

Black And White Birthday

Good Morning!  One day closer to the weekend!

Today's card will be entered into the MFT Sketch Challenge and the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, Anything Goes!

I originally thought I would also enter this into the Mix It Up Monday Challenge over at Stamp TV, Only 2 Colors, and No Designer Paper, oh tricky Cat......clearly I have used Designer Paper.  lol  Oh well, another card to send out!

I love this sketch and it helped me plan out my card.  I used the Gina K Designs stamp set, Lots Of Lines.  Big bold sentiments, big bold images!  I knew I wanted to go with a black and white theme, so to make this more feminine, I decided to add a bunch of Adhesive Pearls.  There is a chipboard button threaded with Baker's Twine as another accent.  The sentiment was stamped on Vellum and then texture was added using Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.  I also punched a tiny butterfly on my inside cover sheet and added a strip of corresponding Designer Paper to the top, just to tie everything together.  I find this card clean and elegant!

Thanks so much for coming by, appreciate you doing so!

Enjoy~~

Happy Happy Joy Joy

Welcome Back!

Today's card will be entered into the Poppy Challenge, Sketch #16 With A Pop Of Pattern, Chevrons and Simon Says Wednesday ChallengeAnything Goes!

Here is my card:

I used the Chevrons Embossing Folder as my background.  The focal panel is covered in Designer Paper and a Martha Stewart Border Punch was added to the top and bottom.  I also added some brown ribbon which has teeny tiny blue dots.  I cut 3 flag banners out using a MFT Blueprint #12 die and then I stamped an arrow from the Stamp It Big set from Gina K Designs, and fussy cut that out.  The sentiment is from the Dahlias set from Flourishes.   Cute.  Fast. Simple.

Thanks for stopping by tonight!

Enjoy~~

Have A Holly Jolly Christmas

Good Morning!  Hope you all have a wonderful week.

Today's card was an easy one which will be entered into the Challenge over at MFT, Sketch Challenge.

And here is my card:

Really....such an easy card to make.  I cut the 'window' out using my Cameo.  I just added 12 one inch squares and centered them into a rectangle, grouping the images as I went, so it would cut as one piece.  Layered a piece of designer holly paper underneath it and adhered them to a piece of chipboard, so once adhered to the base card stock it would have a bit of dimension.  Before doing so I did place an eyelet in each corner.  Stamp sets are from Flourishes, That's A Wrap and Star Of Bethlehem.   Image colored with Copic Markers.  Banner cut out using Blueprints #12 by My Favorite Things.

Now this card could really be mass produced in no time at all, especially if you skipped the chipboard and eyelets!  ;)

Thanks for stopping by, hope you had a good time!

Enjoy~~

This Is How I Like My Snow.....

.....on a card!!!

This card will be entered into the Stamp TV Challenge, Christmas Comes Early and the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, Get Crafty With Kraft.

Quite a simple card to make, one that could be easily mass produced.  All images heat embossed in white.  Torn card stock lined with chunky white glitter create the snowy hills.  I also flicked a bit of white craft paint on the background to add some more frostiness.  Stamped sentiment.  All stamp sets by Gina K Designs, Merry Little Christmas, Winter Wonderland, Wishing You Joy.  Nothing flashy, nothing fancy.

Thanks for coming by.

Peaceful Trees

Hello Again!  Back with another Christmas card.  I think I am getting a good jump on them this year.  But, I also must remember to mail my Halloween cards on Monday!  Ha!

Today's card will be entered into the Stamp TV Challenge, Christmas Comes Early and the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, Get Crafty And Use Kraft.

Totally inspired by Pinterest, egads I could lose days over at that site.....probably already have!  I cut 2 triangles out of Kraft card stock and ran them through my little handy dandy corrugator, changing the angle for each one.  Decorated one with Adhesive Pearls and the other with a bit of white ribbon.  Punched out a wonky star with a Sizzix die, also topped with an Adhesive Pearl.  The sentiment is from Gina K Designs, Vintage Borders stamp set, which is embossed in gold powder.  Swiss Dots Embossing Folder for added texture and some thin Jute Twine.  A great rustic flavor to this card.

Glad you popped on in!  Thanks so much!

Enjoy~~

Winter Wings

Good Morning!

Today's card will be entered into the Stamp TV Challenge, Christmas Comes Early and the Simon Says Monday Challenge, Anything Goes!

The stamp sets I used are Winter Wings and Winter Wonderland by Gina K Designs.  I stamped a border of pine needles first, then the bird, then the sentiment.  The pine needles were colored with Copic Markers, as were the bird and branch images, and then I added a little white glitter to the outside edges to mimic snow, you can actually see some it in the photo....ha....that's a first!  A bit of ribbon for contrast and a bunch of 'randomly' tossed red sequins were added to fill the negative space....too much white open space!

I do love Red Cardinals, they are my most favorite bird evaaaaaaah!  ;)

Thanks for coming by!

I Love My Layers!

Good afternoon!  Another card for you today.  This one will be entered into the Challenge over at the Mod Squad, It's My Favorite.....hosted by one of MY favorites, Judy WoodlandAND the Challenge over at  Simon Says MondayAnything Goes!

In case you can't figure out what MY favorite may be, it's layers.....lots and lots of layers!  This particular card has 7 layers, mmmmm isn't there a 7 layer dip recipe?  lol  I used the Flourishes stamp sets, Holiday Topiaries and That's A Wrap!.  Lots of Holiday Designer Papers, although that red holly one reminds me of camouflage, not sure I dig that.   Image colored with Copic Markers and a Sakura Glitter Pen was added to the berries.  The Adhesive Pearls were also colored with the Copics.   And a wee bit of red ribbon for an accent.  The Topiary was fussy cut out.  EK Success Border Punch used on the inside.

A simple card, one that will easily mail, maybe no extra postage.....love that!

Thanks for stopping by!

Only Hearts Can Build A Home

That is all!

Recessed Window

Hello Again!  This card, which I just had to share, is my 1600th card loaded on to My Gallery At Stamp TV.  WHAHOO!!!  For those of you about to ask, yeah I do not have a life!  lol  I just love to make cards.  And one of the great things about my little obsession is, I SEND 90% of them out too!  Yay me!  I love mail, I love getting mail, I love sending mail and I hope all that receive my cards love getting them too!  Okay enough blowing my own horn!

This card was made for the October Release Party Challenge at Stamp TV, to make a Recessed Card.  I will also be entering it into the Simon Says Monday Challenge, Anything Goes.

I was on Pinterest yesterday and saw this Gorgeous card, thought I would use it as inspiration, clicked on it and arrived at the Blog for instructions.  I was surprised when I recognized the author, Theresa Momber.  You will find her beautiful card there and her easy to use instructions!  That post was from 2009, and it's still valuable today, 5 years later.   WOW!!!

Here is my creation:

I used the Gina K Designs stamp sets Stamper's Favorites, Take Flight, Tropical Leaves.  I really like this recessed window design, I think I have made one before, it has so much depth.   Adhesive Rhinestones and Stickles on leaves and butterfly make this card shimmer and shine!

Using Distress inks in Antique Linen and Peeled Paint I stamped tropical leaves on the insert.

Sentiment stamped on a little flag banner, rhinestone accent.  Top leaves are a Sizzix Die.

The butterfly is on 2 layers of chipboard, which I stamped and fussy cut out.  The leaves are also cut out.  All colored with Copic Markers.

The Blog instructions also have a link to the VIDEO at SplitCoastStampers......check it out!

Thanks so much for joining me this busy Monday!  I have to go grocery shopping but you know I will be hitting the craft room afterwards!

ENJOY~~

Gina K Designs stamp sets used, Buds And Vases and Holiday Basket, as well as her Designer Paper, Parisian Garden and her card stock, Lovely Lavender and Vibrant Violet.  I folded a doily in half and used that as my focal pointLayering it with flags and a heart die cut, button and twine.  I stamped random flowers and added adhesive pearls to the centers, colored with Copic Markers.  Corner Punch also used.  A simple little card, but I love that sentiment.

Hope you are doing something you love today.....thanks for stopping by.

Black & White & Loved All Over

Happy Weekend!  Looks like another fabulous Fall day!  Life Is Good....Knock On Wood!

Today's card I am entering into the Challenge over at Poppy Sketch, #17, With A Pop Of Pattern, Houndstooth.

And here is my card:

I used one of my older sets from Gina K Designs, Vintage Borders, and the sentiment and snowflake are from the Wishing You Joy set.  I stamped the multi lingual Merry Christmas 3 times, creating the background, which is popped up on the card base to add dimension.

I also stamped the scalloped border adding rhinestones to each center.  The sentiment is stamped in black ink while the snowflake was stamped in light grey and then traced using a Sakura Clear Star Glitter Pen.  A border of  Houndstooth Designer Paper is the backdrop for the sentiment tag.  One additional large rhinestone was added to the snowflake center.

I like the non traditional colors (or lack thereof) of this Christmas card, I wonder how the recipient will react to receiving a black and white Christmas card?!?!

Thanks so much for coming by, appreciate you doing so.

Enjoy~~

Peaceful City Scene

Hello again!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge over at PTI, Gold Dipped Die Cuts.

Loved working with this stamp and die set, City Scene.  I think I am starting to get the hang of it.  Each building is stamped twice onto the die cut, they are clear stamps so this makes it quite easy to do.  Mine are not perfect, yet I still like their look.

I also took the small snow/star stamp and added itty bitty snowflakes falling quietly on the city.  I also added some Sakura Clear Star Glitter Pen to the snow to make it sparkle and glisten.

The sentiment is a One-Liner Die Cut, which is the die I chose to dip in gold embossing powder and heat.  Looks really awesome, totally hi-lights the word.  I hope to remember to use this technique more when making Christmas cards.  A couple of pieces of matching thin green ribbon.  The base is all popped up for dimension.

Thanks for popping in!

Enjoy~~

The Deep Blue Sea....Or Ocean!

Good evening!  Another fabulous Fall day here, feels like summer, but without all of the people....yahoo!!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Stamp TV, Over The Deep Blue Sea and the Challenge at Simon Says Monday, O Is For.....and in this case, I am going with OCEAN.....again!

I used the stamp set, Gifts From The Sea, from Gina K Designs just perfect for these 2 Challenges!  I used water color pencils to create the background, sky, sea, and sand, making a darker line to distinguish sky from sea.  Then I covered the sand in a bronze colored glitter and the sea with a little white sparkly glitter and also made a little foam line with chunky white glitter.  Stamping 6 different shells and coloring them with Copic Markers, I fussy cut them out.  Then I layered all on white and blue card stock twice to add dimension.  Wrapping some thin twine 3 times around adding a pearl as I went.  I quite like how this card came out and it is more sparkly in real life.  Can you smell that fresh salty air?  Ahhhhh.......

Thanks for joining me at my beach!

Enjoy~~

Happy Columbus Day

Good Morning!  Hope you all can enjoy this Holiday and spend time doing what you love.  I have to work, but that's okay.....I guess.

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Reverse ConfettiOctober Sketch, and the Simon Says Monday, Challenge O.....Oh how I do love the Ocean!!!

I love the clean look to this Sketch, maybe you do too.

I bought my first stamp set from Reverse Confetti a couple of weeks ago and I FINALLY had some time to get it inky.  It's a super cute ocean themed set, surprise, surprise.  So I thought it was a perfect card and stamp set to showcase on this Columbus Day!  :)

Just look at all of those fabulous harbor related stamps, 14 in all.

And here is my card:

Super cute, right?  I stamped the Braided Rope 3 times on the bottom panel.  The Compass Rose was stamped on white card stock with dark blue ink and layered on a deep red card stock, using Spellbinders Classic and Scalloped Circle dies.  I ran the flag banner through my CuttleBug using the Swiss Dots embossing folder.  Stamping the Anchor Border twice in a light blue ink on my sentiment panel and then over stamping the sentiment, shore do love you, in deep red.....I LOVE that sentiment!  The Designer Paper is Sea Glass from K & Company, layered on white card stock and both panels popped up using a bazllion 3D adhesive dots.  Then I simply wrapped the whole thing in Baker's Twine with a knot.  I also stamped the Anchor Border on the inside of the card as well as the Flag Banner, to finish it off.

I think I have a lot of ideas for this fabulous set!  Stayed Tuned....Wink, Wink!

Hope you all have a wonderful day, whatever you do!

Enjoy~~

A Little Fall Sketch

Good day!

Back with one more card, which will be entered into the  Mod Squad Challenge, Tag It!,  Simon Says Monday Challenge, Falling For...... and the Sketch Challenge at MFT.

I used several of the dies from the MFT Blueprint #12 set, flowers, leaves and banner.  There is leaf image stamped behind the sentiment in a very light green, which you can't really see in the photo.  Both stamps are by Gina K Designs, Tropical Leaves and Falling For You.  I used lots of Kraft and this lovely Designer Paper by K & Company, Roam.   EK Success paper punch to make the tag which I added an eyelet and some rustic jute twine to.  A neutral ribbon to tie it all together.  lol

Fall has to be one of my most favorite times of the year, Spring is a close second, although Fall does have better hair days!  ;)

Thanks for popping in!

Enjoy!

Hodgkin's Lymphoma Violet Ribbon

As I was making this card I received some wonderful news.....my niece who was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, announced she was in COMPLETE REMISSION!!!  She never lost her courage or spirit and come the end of November (her last treatment!) she can wrap this chapter of her life in a pretty little bow and close the book!  AMEN!

Here is my card, which will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Water Colors, CASology, Splatter and a Stamp TV Challenge, Many Colors (a Stamp Out Cancer Challenge).

I used water color pencils to color the stamped image, from the Strength And Hope set, by Gina K Designs.  Cut the image out using Spellbinders Classic and Scalloped Oval dies.  The background was created by putting craft paint on an old toothbrush and 'splattering' it all over the card stock....one of my most favorite techniques!  The card measures 4.25 x 4.25.

I can't wait til she gets this card.....I don't even care if she burns it!  WHAHOO!!!

Thanks so much for joining me in this FANTASTIC news!!!

Enjoy~~

Embossing Times Two

Good afternoon!  We're experiencing some lovely Fall weather here in the North East, fingers crossed that it continues into (or even through!) November!

Today's card is for the Challenge over at PTI, Dry Embossing Over Heat Embossing

Dawn has a fantastic little VIDEO to show you!

Using Versa Mark I stamped several sized flowers from the Ruby Reprise stamp set.  I picked out one color, one flower, stamped and heat embossed.  Blue, Yellow, and the Green leaves.  Adding the sentiment last.  Then I ran the decorated card stock through my CuttleBug de-bossing (not embossing!) the Swiss Dots onto the entire front.  Added some Liquid Pearls to the center of the larger flowers.  Lastly a bit of thin yellow ribbon.  A simple little card, that is bright and sunny.

A fun little technique that packs a punch!  Try It!

Thanks for coming by, I hope you are enjoying your Fall.....wherever you are!

Enjoy~~

Transport It

Good Day!

Another Fall card for you today, which will be entered into the Challenge over at Simon Says Wednesday, Transport it!  Let me just say if someone wheeled this wheelbarrow full of sunflowers into my yard, I wouldn't hate it!  :)

The stamp sets are from Gina K Designs, Beyond Baskets and Harvest Of Wishes, 2 perfect sets for some Fall time fun!  I colored the wheelbarrow with Copic Markers and fussy cut it out.  Spellbinders Label Eight die used, which I sponged with green, a lighter green and a yellow ink.  The sunflowers were leftover from a previous card, Harvest Wishes.  This time I added a bit of Stickles to the flowers, some yellow, orange, and bronze for the centers.   A little ribbon tied up and 3 different colored Adhesive Rhinestones.  Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.

Hope you are all enjoying the Fall like I am!  Love It!  Change can be good!

Thank you as always, for coming by, appreciate you doing so!

Smooch

Hello Again!

Today's card will be entered into the Curtain Call Challenge, Smooch and the Simon Says Monday Challenge, Finishing Touch

There is something about Kraft card stock, you can dress it up, or dress it down.  Such a natural look!  I CASED this card from a book I have, Papercrafts, The Best Of Card Creations, it REALLY has a lot of inspiration, I have several of these books.  This particular one has over 500 photos of beautiful cards.

I used 2 stamp sets from Gina K Designs, Lots Of Lines and Simple Hearts.  Red gingham ribbon and red buttons for the accents.  The double heart was stamped on pink card stock and then colored with Copic Markers.

Loving the use of this type of ribbon tab too!

May you find the inspiration you need.  And if you can't you should check out that book!

Thanks for popping by.

Enjoy~~

A quick and easy card, using Designer Paper to create a simple background!  The stamp sets are Wicked  and The Giving Tree both from Gina K Designs. The bat was embossed using Marcasite embossing powder, which gives off a great sparkle and shine.  Dies are from My Favorite Things, BluePrint #12

Nothing more to say.  :)

Enjoy~~
