30th Anniversary

Well we made it lol  On Sunday we celebrated our 30th anniversary.  It's kind of weird to think that we have been married for that long, it really went by in a blink of an eye.  But here we are, happy and content.  AND the kids and Penny and Hank are coming for a visit this weekend. We are blessed!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at;  Stamp TV, You Bet Your Sweet AcetateSimon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes and Scrapy Land #94, Anything Goes.

I took a piece of packaging and used it as my acetate.  I save all of my packaging for Shaker cards so I have plenty on hand for Acetate Challenges.  I then embossed it using a Hearts Embossing Folder, when done it really looks beautiful.  I then cut a panel from the front of my card base using a Tutti Designs Cross Stitched Rectangle die.  My frame was constructed using Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8 die and the Tutti Rectangle die.

Memory Box Classic Stitched Heart Rings dies.

Inside I heat embossed in White the Gina K Designs stamps;
True Love, Wetlands, Wreath Builder and You Get Me.
I also added a few of the little heart die cuts from Memory Box Homespun Heart.

Added a matching envelope.
Lots of Pearls, 50 in all, 30 was not enough.
The 30th year is Pearl.

Then I created a Shadow Box.  I did not have an Oyster stamp so I used actual Oyster Shells.  My Brother In Law has an Oyster Farm in the next town over, how handy.....too bad I don't enjoy them, but the rest of my family does.  I'll let you know when I convince him to be a Lobster Man lol

I painted the shells using White Craft Paint and then brushed on a bit of glitter for some sparkle and shine.  Gina K Designs Silver Embossing Powder and Mistletoe Memories, Wealth Of Wishes and Simple Numbers stamp sets.  Lots of Pearls added, some pretty lace, rose ribbon and Rhinestone Swirls.  My 'seaweed' was created using the Memory Box Woodland die.  My scallop shell is by Ellen Hutson, Mermaid's Tail die set.

I purchased that pretty Pearl Embossed Designer Paper at Hobby Lobby.  My daughter took me to a brand new one near her home, I must say I was not that impressed. Yes, they have lots and lots of stuff, but I felt they had too much of a variety, but I think there were only 3-4 aisles of paper crafting supplies.  Maybe if they focused a bit more on each section and not try to do it all, I would have been more impressed.  Oh, plus they had Halloween and Christmas all up....big turn off in July lol

Here it is in the Shadow Box, but it's hard to see all of the pretty details.

In keeping with the Pearl theme I also ordered this gorgeous wall planter, it was the closest thing I could come to an Oyster....lol....I quite love it and can not wait for it's arrival!

Thanks for popping by.

Love it when you do!

Enjoy~~

Mistletoe Tags

Good Morning!

I must say, after the Cardinal ones, these may be my most favorite tags in this batch!

These use the Gina K Designs stamp set, Mistletoe Memories.  Stamped the mistletoe and then decorated it with stamped berries and then added seed beads to the centers.  A little sentiment tag topped with a large Adhesive Pearl for accent.

Added some Seam Binding Ribbon, which I colored with a Copic Marker.  I love the look of this ribbon, I find it romantic.  lol

These will be entered into the following Challenges:

Simon Says Monday, Holly Jolly Stamping
Stamp TV, Bring On The Bling

Stay tuned I only have one more set of tags left to post.  Phew!

Thanks for popping in.

Merry Merry!

Mistletoe

Hello Again!

One of the hardest cards ever for me to make.....CAS......Clean And Simple--typically not so much!

This will be entered in the Challenges at Simon Says Wednesday Clean And Simple Christmas and Stamp TV, You Have Me In Stitches!

I used the Gina K Designs stamp set, Mistletoe Memories.  The images were stamped onto die cuts using Sizzix Labels And Stitched Frames, you layer these.  If you look close enough you may even see some 'stitching' on the stamped mistletoe too, my ink pad was very wet, so it kind of glopped all together, but it is there.

I sponged Soft Sky ink all over the die cut and then did my stamping in Garden Green and Real Red.  I also topped the Holly Berries off using Liquid Pearls in Flamingo

At least it will not need extra postage......BONUS!  lol

Thanks so much for dropping by, love it when you do!

Enjoy~~

Combo Holiday....???

Good Morning!

Happy to say I FINALLY made my Beach Photo Card.....phew!  Now I just have to write them all out....that's all!  Fa La La La La

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at the Mod Squad , Frilly Fun, hosted by Joyce and the Sketch Challenge at MFT.   By the way they are having a HUGE retirement sale, up to 75% off....I took advantage of that yesterday morning, merry merry to me!

And here is my card.....Combo Holiday....??? It uses Christmas stamps but has a Valentine feel.  What do you think?

Designer Papers are by My Mind's Eye, Love Me.  I used the Gina K Designs stamp set, Mistletoe Memories.  My dies are from MFT, there are 3 of them, the Open Scallop Border, and 2 from Blueprints #12, center panel and the flag banner.  Swiss Dots Embossing Folder for a little bit of texture, chipboard heart topped with button and twine, a little bit of ribbon and some Liquid Pearls in Flamingo.

I think I might just save this for a Valentine's card......I wonder if anyone would notice the mistletoe?
