Thankful

Back again!

This card will be entered into the following Challenges:

Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes.

I think this was one of my most favorite Thanksgiving cards to create.
Rustic.  Easy.

I started by creating my wood grained background, scoring every 1/2".
Then swiping inks, direct to paper I achieved the colors that I wanted.
Inks in; greys, blues, light brown and white.
It reminds me of well worn Cape Cod shingles.

Wreath is made using die cuts from Paper Smooches Foliage 2
and the large leaf from a Momenta die set.
I also swiped Versa Mark ink onto some of the edges of foliage
and dipped them in Gold Embossing Powder.  Heat set.

Thankful die is by PTI, Count My Blessings die set.
I taped half of the die cut off and then coated the bottom portion in a Gold Sakura Glitter Pen for a little bit of a different look.
I kind of love it!

Thanks so much for coming by, I count you among my blessings!

Enjoy~~

Golden Anniversary

Donna Phelan Back again on the Dies R Us Blog

I have been having a lot of FUN using this beautiful Tutti Designs Scrolly Heart die.
The detail is stunning and looks magnificent, especially cut from Gold Foiled Paper.

I die cut the Tutti Designs Scrolly Heart from Gold Foiled Paper, which I created by using my Mini Minc, Toner Paper, and some Heidi Swapp Gold Foil.  It really looks spectacular and lets the beauty of the die cut just shine....literally!  I placed the pretty heart on to a Fancy Ribbon Threader die cut by SpellbindersThe entire panel was backed with Gold Foil and Fun Foam to add dimension.  Threaded a Gold Ribbon through the bottom.

Next I die cut the fabulous flowers, Cheery Lynn Small Gardenia from Gold and Rose Gold Foiled Paper.  Added Metallic Brads to each center.
I also added some Golden Foliage, dies by Paper Smooches
This particular die, Foliage 2, is no longer available......BUT as always, there are soooo many other options in the Dies R Us Store, click HERE to check them all out.

Don't you just love all of that beautiful detail?!?!

Gold Heat Embossed 50th Sentiment on to a Spellbinders Standard Circles die.
Corner Rounder.

The Fun Foam and die cuts really add so much depth and dimension to this creation!

Only 20.5 more years and I'll be making one of these for my Husband.  lol

This card will also be entered into the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, Anything Goes!

Here's what I used:

Warm Thoughts, Miss You

Hello!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Paper Smooches, Showers.  I will also enter this in the Face Book Stamp Junkies Page Challenge.  The theme is Flowers And Showers and is sponsored by Spellbinders and runs from April 1 - 21.

My card takes place after the rain.  lol

My Designer Paper is by Pebbles, Garden Party.  Spellbinders Wellies dies.  I cut first from some Blue Raspberry card stock and then the floral print, which I offset just a tiny bit to make it look like rubber soles.  My frames are by Papertrey Ink, Shakers And Sprinkles dies.  I Love how they framed in my focal images.

The background paper has little umbrellas and the middle panel is; rain rain go away.....cute!  I also added 2 pieces of thin ribbon over the sectioned panels.  My wellies are filled with pretty posies from a Poppy Stamps die, Dogwood Blossom, each flower has a pearl center, which I colored with a Copic Marker.  I also added some pretty White 'greenery' using the Paper Smooches Foliage 2 dies set.  Sentiments, inside and out, stamped in Tempting Turquoise ink and are from the Paper Smooches stamp set, Sentiment Sampler.

Paper gardening is just as much fun as real gardening.

Thanks so much for stopping in.

Enjoy~~
