Happy Birthday Shaker Card

Hello Again!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at Mod Squad, Birthday Sparkle and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

I love making Shaker cards!  They're fun and fabulous, don't you think?  And I think this Video from Papertrey Ink shows you how to make one the easiest way possible!  Super simple!

I used the Phrase Play #5 and Swoosh dies and Chevron Vertical Cover Plate all from Papertrey Ink.  Inside die cut from MFT, Harlequin

Card stocks in red, yellow and white, Designer paper by Gina K Designs, Watercolor Garden.  The Shaker consists of sequins and glitter in different styles.  Has a lot of sparkle and shine in real life.

They're really fun and interactive, no matter how old or young!

Thanks so much for coming by, may all your days sparkle and shine!

Masculine Fall Card

Good Afternoon!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Stamp TV, Men, Men, Men, Men (to make a masculine card), Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!  and Simon Says, Work It Wednesday.

I decided to make a nice Fall card for my Uncle Jim who lives in Arizona.

I used the Gina K Designs stamp sets, Fall Foliage (leaves and sentiment) and So Grateful (acorn).  Inks in Always Artichoke, More Mustard and Pumpkin Pie.  I stamped the leaf image 3 times in the different inks and fussy cut them out.  Acorn image was colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut out.

Embossing Folders; Swiss Dots and Wood Grain for texture.  A wee bit of thin Jute Twine and 2 Enamel Brads for accents.  Designer Paper is Roam by K & Company.

I just really love this little cluster of leaves topped with an acorn.  And I cannot wait for cooler temps on a daily basis (now I did not say snow or winter, so don't yell at me--just the cool comforts of Fall)

Thanks so much for blowing in.

Enjoy~~

With Love Tag

Good Morning!  Another glorious day here, can't get enough of them!

Today's card will be entered into the following Challenges; Papertrey Ink, Die Cut Kissing, Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!  and Simon Says Work It Wednesday.

This technique was giving me a run for my money, until I saw my good friend Sharyn Polesel make her beautiful entry!  THEN it all made sense!  Thank you Miss Sharyn!

I used the stamp and die sets from PTI, Lovely Layers and Swoosh.  Tag and Flourish die are from MFT, Traditional Stitched Tags and Fancy Flourish.  I cut out a flourish and used that as the kissing die.  (that was pure genius and ALL Sharyn's technique!!!)  The flowers were cut and stamped in Melon Mambo ink and then kissed on to the flourish die cut, if you look closely you can see some swirls, which I also hi-lighted using a Sakura Clear Star Glitter Pen.  I stamped 3 flowers, one was layered with the die cut.

Found this gorgeous Designer Paper in my stash by S-E-I, it has glitter and embossing on it.  Everything was adhered to the tag which was also layered on black card stock so it would POP!  Flourishes and sentiment in black as well as a couple of brads and an eyelet for accents.

I really love this look and will try and remember to use it again.  And without Sharyn I know I would still be trying to figure this all out.  :)

Thanks so much for coming by, love it when you do!

Enjoy~~

For Someone Special

Good Day!

Gorgeous day here, cooler temps and less work today (well other than my own chores--but I can deal).

This card is titled Someone Special.

I will enter this in the following Challenges; MFT Sketch, Dies R Us, The Great Outdoors, Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes! and Simon Says Work It Wednesday.

I think I went quite literal on this Sketch.

I used the Spellbinders Captivating Squares dies, YOWZA!  A little sponging using Melon Mambo Ink by Stampin' Up!  The Butterfly die is from Cheery Lynn, cut in black card stock and layered beneath with some Vellum.  Gina K Designs, White and Wild Orchid card stock.

The sentiment is by MFT, Pure Innocence, I Pick You!   Adhesive Pearl and Rhinestone flourish for accent.

For all of MY 'someone specials' out there, I hope you know who you are!!!

And in case you missed my Hubby's latest find.  He's becoming a 12 year old again bringing me all types of creatures, yesterday it was an itty bitty toad.  Who says the romance has gone out of our marriage?  lol

Thanks for fluttering by!

Enjoy~

Papertrey Ink August 2015 Blog Hop.

Hello Again!

Today I am participating in the Papertrey Ink August 2015 Blog Hop

Here is the Inspirational Photo, gorgeous colors!

And here is my card, Colorful Lupines.

I was inspired by all of those beautiful colors!  I used the Flower Favorites stamp and die sets from Papertrey Ink.  There's a lot of masking going on here as the Lupines are 2 images connected as one stamp.   I stamped a row of them directly to the card stock and then using the dies I cut and stamped several more.  They are such a beautiful flower, some I have grown from seed smuggled out of Nova Scotia where my Mother was born.  Shhhh.  They may be a 'tender perennial' here on Cape Cod as they never seem to last from season to season, bummer!

Inks used;  Always Artichoke, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, More Mustard, Pink Pirouette, Tangerine Tango and Wild Wasabi

And that sentiment, works on so many levels.  I love it!

Thanks so much for hopping on by, appreciate you taking a peek!

Enjoy~~

Note Cards

Happy Tuesday!  Back on the Great Impressions Blog!

A couple of little note cards and matching envelopes.

These were created using several Great Impressions stamps, C270 Butterfly Trio, D508 Fun Flower Border and E791 Sweet Sentiments.

I randomly stamped the flower border image all over on a larger piece of card stock and colored with Copic Markers.  Then I cut it in half creating smaller panels, one for each note card.   I also created 2 panels with texture using a Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.

Added my butterfly image and each sentiment to a piece of card stock, die cut using Classic Circles, layered onto a piece of lime green card stock die cut using the Scallop Circles.  A little bit of ribbon to dissect each panel and a few pretty pink rhinestones for accent.  I may make a few more of these note cards and perhaps a box as a gift set.  Everyone loves those!

You still have a few days to play along in the Great Impressions Monthly Challenge, Add A Sentiment.   Don't forget to upload any of your Great Impressions creations to our Customer Gallery......you may win some bonus prizes come year end just for being a loyal Customer!!!

Thanks for popping on in, so happy you did!

Hogs & Kisses Tag

Good Afternoon!  It's a swampy kind of day here, so why not craft through the fog?

I made this sweet little tag (no card attached) for the Challenges at Tag You're It, Photo Inspiration and for the Color Challenge at MFT.

I used the MFT die Traditional Stitched Tags.....LOVE these!!!  The stamp sets are all from Gina K Designs, Birthday Hoot, Funny Farm and Signs Of Spring.  Image colored with Copic Markers.  A bit of Blue Raffia, Green Eyelet and Enamel Brads for accents.

I did a little masking with the balloon images and both sentiments to make them all fit better.  So cute!  That face....omgeeee that face, I always feel as if that pig knows something that I don't lol

Thanks for coming by.....hope you can find your way back through the fog.

Enjoy~~

Lavender And Lace

Good Afternoon!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at Mod Squad, Lavender And Lace, hosted by one of my ever talented BFF's Judy Woodland and Stamp TV, Count Your Layers, hosted by another one of my ever talented BFF's Barbara Campbell.

I started with Lovely Lavender card stock of course and the All Occasion Tags, Dreams, and Lacy Borders stamp sets, all by Gina K Designs.  The tag die is by MFT, Traditional Stitched Tags.

I layered 2 tags together, the bottom one I used White Embossing Powder and a pretty lacy border stamp.  The top has an image and sentiment stamped using inks in Tuxedo Black  and Wisteria Wonder.  I also added a layered butterfly using the EK Success Trio Butterfly Punch, bottom layers in card stock, top in Vellum accented with 3 small Adhesive Rhinestones.  An eyelet and ribbon threaded through the tags.

Check out the fine detail on that lacy border stamp, it looks like real lace!

I have counted 10 layers on this card.

Thanks, as always, for stopping by.

Enjoy~~

Love And Marriage

Good Morning!

Just trying out some ideas for a Wedding card as my daughter's is in 5 short weeks!  Eek!  Their vows will be exchanged under a magnificent Chinese Mulberry Tree.

This card will be entered into the Challenge at Papertrey Ink, Masking Sentiments

I used the stamp set, Love & Marriage from Papertrey Ink, how appropriate!  I made a mask of the sentiment and placed it in the center of my panel.  Then I stamped that beautiful tree right over the mask in Always Artichoke Ink.  Pulled up the mask and stamped the sentiment again using Versa Mark and Gold Embossing Powder.  I made a frame using the Gold Embossing Powder too and layered the image over it.  Another layer of card stock in Asparagus.

Clean And Simple!

Thanks again for coming by, you know I love it when you do!

Root Beer Float

Good Afternoon!

The other day I took my Mom out for a Root Beer Float and then decided to try and make one.....on a card!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Curtain Call, Mason Jar and at Stamp TV, Count Your Layers and MFT Sketch.

I used the Gina K Designs stamp sets, Buds And Vases and Sweet Strawberries.  MFT Blueprints #12 for flower and sentiment banner, Bracket Edge Duo on inside.  Spellbinders Labels 3 die set.

I've counted 17 layers.  Spellbinders die cuts were cut first out of a very thick card stock and layered with brown card stock and Designer Paper.  The mason jar stamp was also stamped on to the same thick card stock and then a piece of Vellum.  Both colored using a brown Copic Marker and fussy cut out.  Designer Paper by My Mind's Eye, Lost & Found, Blush.

Glitter added to the flower center and the foam on top.  A Straw, Ribbon, and Enamel Brads for accents.  I also added some drops of Glossy Accents to mimic condensation.

Slurp!

Thanks for coming by.

Enjoy~~

Sip By Sip

Good Morning!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Monday, Citrus With A Twist.

Last month I won a stamp set from  Power Poppy and I chose this gorgeous set Short Stacks.  Marcella told me it was a fun set to color and she was right!

Beautifully illustrated images colored with Copic Markers.  I used a Spellbinders die for the focal image, Majestic Labels 25, and I don't know how to use them yet.  I bought a few of these styles, think Angelica Schmidt, she always uses the most amazing and intricate dies perfectly.....thought I would be able to do the same....oy vay!  I'll keep trying!

Some Sheer Ribbon, Rhinestone and Pearl Flourishes (greatest invention known to man!) and Sakura Glaze and Glitter Pens for accents.  I just love that sweet little parakeet and those tea cups, reminds me of the Bone China ones my Nana gave me.

Thanks so much for coming by.....next time I'll put the kettle on and whip out those Tea Cups!

Enjoy~~

Glittered Butterflies

Happy Tuesday!  On the Great Impressions Blog today!

This is a small little note card measuring 3.75" x 3.75" perfect to use as a sweet little gift card.  I used the Great Impressions stamp C270 Butterfly Trio.  I stamped the image numerous times using Tuxedo Black ink.  Then I colored all of the pretty little butterflies using Copic Markers.

I doused the entire panel with glitter, the sparkle is so much prettier in real life.  Using a lacy square die, I threaded my ribbon through and tied a little bow topped with a hot pink rhinestone.  I also stamped the Butterfly Trio onto a matching envelope.

Our Great Impressions August Challenge, Add A Sentiment, is still going strong, check it out!   And remember to upload your Great Impressions creations into our Customer Gallery.  Prizes will be awarded at the end of the year for some lucky participants!

The Master And The Butterfly

Good afternoon!

This card will be entered into the Challenge at Stamp TV, Where's The Color?

Cat has challenged us to only use Black and White and Kraft....NO color!!!

Well I finally ordered a spectacular Butterfly Die from Cheery Lynn....YAY!  Thought it would look awesome paired with the Gina K Designs sentiment from Master Butterfly.  This sentiment really got me to thinking, it's true....we can feel as if our world is coming to an end, due to some unforeseen change that may be occurring....BUT maybe it is just the beginning of something new, something better, something more spectacular?  For the caterpillar this was all true!

Designer Paper by Teresa Collins, Hello, My Name Is.  Sentiment was heat embossed in black on Vellum.  Enamel Brads, Adhesive Pearls and some Washi Tape for accents.  Sizzix Embossing Folder for some texture.

Here's a little secret I am going to share with you, well you probably all know it anyways.  When wanting to layer a die, such as this beautiful butterfly, yet you only have it in one size......die cute 2 pieces in different colored card stock.  In this case, I took the black one and sliced it right smack down the middle and then glued the white one on top of it, making sure that there was an itty bitty teeny weeny space in the center so the black edges would appear underneath.  Although it does not make for a perfect layer, it does work well for most dies.  Give it a try, you'll see.

Thanks so much for fluttering by!

Enjoy~~

Mock Twig Wreath

Happy Sunday Morning!

I decided to make a card for the Release Week Challenge at Papertrey Ink, Play Along With Us!

Danielle's Twig Wreath card inspired me to create my own.

Here is mine:

Of course I don't own that beautiful Twig Wreath.....yet.....so I had to create my own.  Taking some fine Jute twine I wrapped it around a fat little mason jar several times, then I just tied it off.  Glued it down to my card stock after stamping that fabulous sentiment using Glossy Accents.

Using one of my favorite PTI stamp and die sets, Daydreamer, I created my flowers and greenery, the sentiment also belongs to this set.  Inks used; Always Artichoke, Bravo Burgundy, More Mustard, Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry.

Anything Is Possible!!!

Is it wrong to say how much I love those sweet little clusters of flowers?!?!

I love the whole Fall Theme and can not wait for it really to be here!!!

Thanks so much for coming by, I appreciate it when you do!

Enjoy~~

Thinking Of You

Good Morning!

One of my Design Team Mates is a bit under the weather so a few of us wanted to let her know she was being thought of.

This one's for you, Patti......be well my friend!

I used the Great Impressions stamps, E791 Sweet Sentiment and E802 Dainty Tea Cup.  I find tea helps in every situation!  Some pretty Designer Paper, a couple of fabulous flourishes and some Adhesive Pearls complete this look.  Image colored with Copic Markers, fussy cut and popped up using Pop Dots.

Feel free to check out the other cards at the  Great Impressions Blog.
