Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at Mod Squad, Birthday Sparkle and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!
I love making Shaker cards! They're fun and fabulous, don't you think? And I think this Video from Papertrey Ink shows you how to make one the easiest way possible! Super simple!
I used the Phrase Play #5 and Swoosh dies and Chevron Vertical Cover Plate all from Papertrey Ink. Inside die cut from MFT, Harlequin.
Card stocks in red, yellow and white, Designer paper by Gina K Designs, Watercolor Garden. The Shaker consists of sequins and glitter in different styles. Has a lot of sparkle and shine in real life.
They're really fun and interactive, no matter how old or young!
Thanks so much for coming by, may all your days sparkle and shine!
Enjoy~~
I love that wonderful in-lay background....great colors. Your shaker is so sparkly and pretty...great card!
ReplyDeleteWOW!! I love this card, especially the inlaid background.....and of course all the "sparkly"
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling shaker card. I will go take a look at that video. I actually just made one for our little grandnephew who will be turning 8 soon. I love your papers and the way you attached those die cuts for the greeting. Also love the inlay with that chevron cover plate, I really like that look. Oh, and you put lots of "shakes" inside, always fun!! Really NICE card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous card! Love the background and the how nicely you finished off the inside. It will certainly make someone's Birthday a happy one :)

ReplyDeleteA lovely card and extra great being it is a shaker card too.
ReplyDeleteWhat everyone else said plus I think that you should get a star fro finding a great way to use the design paper from Gina K. <3
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Donna. I love the color combo. Thanks for posting that link to the video. I need a refresher. What you put inside the window is really pretty too. Thanks for playing in this week's Mod Squad Challenge.

Oh girl you just inspired me again. I have that phrase play 5 and never thought to use it as a shaker card. Love what you did with the colors, I am surorised you have time to get in your craft room as the date for the wedding is so close but I am glad you so, My bff birthday is this week so I have been busy making her card, she sees most of what I do so I had to make this very special I have spent an obscene amount of time on it so no time for other challenges this week.
