The Master And The Butterfly

Good afternoon!

This card will be entered into the Challenge at Stamp TV, Where's The Color?

Cat has challenged us to only use Black and White and Kraft....NO color!!!

Well I finally ordered a spectacular Butterfly Die from Cheery Lynn....YAY!  Thought it would look awesome paired with the Gina K Designs sentiment from Master Butterfly.  This sentiment really got me to thinking, it's true....we can feel as if our world is coming to an end, due to some unforeseen change that may be occurring....BUT maybe it is just the beginning of something new, something better, something more spectacular?  For the caterpillar this was all true!

Designer Paper by Teresa Collins, Hello, My Name Is.  Sentiment was heat embossed in black on Vellum.  Enamel Brads, Adhesive Pearls and some Washi Tape for accents.  Sizzix Embossing Folder for some texture.

Here's a little secret I am going to share with you, well you probably all know it anyways.  When wanting to layer a die, such as this beautiful butterfly, yet you only have it in one size......die cute 2 pieces in different colored card stock.  In this case, I took the black one and sliced it right smack down the middle and then glued the white one on top of it, making sure that there was an itty bitty teeny weeny space in the center so the black edges would appear underneath.  Although it does not make for a perfect layer, it does work well for most dies.  Give it a try, you'll see.

Thanks so much for fluttering by!

Enjoy~~

  6. I love this so much. Why oh why can't I envision layering like you do??? You seem to just always find the perfect papers that go together, and then embellish to make a stunning card. I'm so glad you got that butterfly die - you will use it a lot. Can never have too many butterflies.

  7. Love the butterfly and that sentiment. The black, white and kraft look fabulous on this card. The pp choice is perfect and looks great on that embossed panel. You describe the sentiment perfectly, and it is something we all need to consider.
