Glittered Butterflies

Happy Tuesday!  On the Great Impressions Blog today!

This is a small little note card measuring 3.75" x 3.75" perfect to use as a sweet little gift card.  I used the Great Impressions stamp C270 Butterfly Trio.  I stamped the image numerous times using Tuxedo Black ink.  Then I colored all of the pretty little butterflies using Copic Markers.

I doused the entire panel with glitter, the sparkle is so much prettier in real life.  Using a lacy square die, I threaded my ribbon through and tied a little bow topped with a hot pink rhinestone.  I also stamped the Butterfly Trio onto a matching envelope.

Our Great Impressions August Challenge, Add A Sentiment, is still going strong, check it out!   And remember to upload your Great Impressions creations into our Customer Gallery.  Prizes will be awarded at the end of the year for some lucky participants!

Thanks so much for coming by!

Enjoy~~

  3. I have seen you cover a card with glitter before and I really like it. You are so brave to do that, as it looks amazing. I guess, if I want that look, I should just hole my nose and take the plunge. Love all of your wonderfully colored butterflies and the ribbon idea.

  4. Oh, I LOVE me some glitter. Your little butterflies are just beautiful, and then covering them with glitter is GENIUS!!! What a sweet little card. Great idea to thread the ribbon through the lacy square too. I will remember that! And thanks for reminding me about the challenge - will try and play.

    1. I used 2 products by Stampin' Up! Heat & Stick Powder and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. I covered the entire stamped area with Versa Mark, then with the powder, heated it and then covered that with the glitter, then you reheat it a bit to seal it all together. It is AWESOME stuff!
