Today I have a little wedding card to share with you, I will probably use it as a gift tag even though it does measure 4" x 4". This will be entered into the Challenge at PTI, Confetti Cluster Stamping. It's a fun little technique, here's Lizzie Jones' VIDEO to show you how!
I used many little stamps from a few of Papertrey Ink sets which include, City Scene, Happy Hexagons, Love And Marriage and Polka Dot Parade #9. I used many Stampin' Up! inks; Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight, Pink Pirouette, Pool Party, So Saffron, Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi.
The only thing I did differently than the video was to cut my shape out from copy paper, using a Spellbinders Heart die. Then I simply used the negative portion to 'mask' my stamping space out. Seemed silly to trace the image when I already had what I needed. Just a little shortcut!
Here are the images I used:
City Scene 'dots', Happy Hexagons flower, Love And Marriage Hearts and Polka Dot Parade # 9 star.
This is really a FUN way to create an image, the possibilities are endless! My dear friend Barbara was so clever to create this beauty because she's smart like that!!!
Thanks so much for stopping in, I really do appreciate you doing so!
Enjoy~~
Wonderfully whimsical Heart card, I love it! This must be fun to make, and it gives such pretty results! I'm going to have to try it myself!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! Your edges come out so clean by masking instead of tracing your shape. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteLove the crisp clean edges! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done, Donna! Great idea for a wedding card. I wondered if using a mask would be any easier than tracing. I'll have to try this technique again your way. TFS!
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect idea for a wedding card! Your card is just beautiful!! :0)
ReplyDeleteLove this! And I'm not surprised you have weddings on the brain. Don't you have a special someone's wedding coming up, soon?
ReplyDeleteSo amazing that you can use these little stamps to create such a beautiful creation! Love all the little stamps that you used to create your master piece! Will have to try this one day too. Spring will get here eventually we can only pray! Have a Blessed day sweet pea! Hugs
ReplyDeleteI love that look - such a great way to use all those cute little stamps! You have really nailed the technique here, I love all the pretty colors you chose. I thought about doing the mask thing too - way easier than trying to fit the stamps into the shape perfectly! And yes, this will make a lovely little wedding card!
ReplyDeleteFabulous. You made such good use out of he little stamps. Love he colors you chose and your clever sentiment.
ReplyDeleteGreat wedding card. Love the pretty, springy colors. Your idea of using a mask make more sense to me. I'd mess the whole thing up trying to erase the trace lines.
ReplyDeleteYes this would make a great wedding card, but it would also make a great tag to put on a wedding table. ;) Love the colors and the quick shortcut that you did. Pin it!
ReplyDeleteLove your card, so pretty! I may have to try your making technique, it would work so well on complicated shapes!
