This card will be entered into the Challenges at Stamp TV Kit Addicts, Color Challenge and Simon Says Wednesday, For A Special Lady/Gal. Personally, I like to think that all of the ladies and gals I know......ARE special!!!
I don't know how I managed to do it, without looking too garish, but I used every color. WOW!!!
And I only took one photo....weird. You'll have to squint to see the Spring Blessings sentiment stamped in Pink Pirouette ink.
I used 2 Kits from Gina K Designs, Petals And Wings and Shabby Spring. Remember that awesome frame from the P&W Kit? A Sizzix Labels And Stitched Frames die almost fits it perfectly, there's probably a Spellbinders die out there that does, but I do not own it.
I stamped the frame in Tempting Turquoise ink and die cut it with that Sizzix die, then I centered a Spellbinders Standard Circle die in it and cut that out, leaving me this fabulous frame, which I popped up using 3D dots. A 2nd Spellbinders die, Fancy Ribbon Threader was cut and this is what I stamped my beautiful flowers on to in Black Licorice ink. Then colored with Copic Markers adding a bit of a Sakura Glitter Pen to the buds. These were both layered onto some pretty polka dot Designer Paper and a white doily which I cut in half.
Sheer Green Ribbon and a few Hot Red Enamel Dots for accents.
Spring Blessings here come with a shovel....8 inches on the ground and more over Tuesday and Wednesday. Good crafting weather.
Thanks for coming by......don't slip!
Enjoy~~
EWE!!! Spring is supposed to come in green, not white. ;) This card is gorgeous!! Very bright and springy. Love those die cuts

ReplyDeleteI cannot imagine so much snow. However, I am not pleased that you're sending your cold weather our way LOL beginning tomorrow, we will have 4 days of "normal" winter weather for us! So it will be welcomely chilly. Shoveling is not fun! Have a great week, Donna! hugs, de
That was a challenge to use all those colours! Well done, lovely card!

ReplyDeleteYep sounds like you're in for a rough ride over the next couple of days ... only calling for 8-10" in my area! Dang I thought we were going to squeak by and slip right into spring! Had to actually go out and switch the lawn tractor and snow blower around in the garage ... I had already put the snow stuff away for another year! That will teach me! LOL And, I agree ... awesome crafting weather!! HUGS ... stay warm and safe!
Yes, you did it! You used the bold colors to frame the yellow flower and accented with the other colors. I love how you double framed the flower. Great job, and quite the challenge and you accomplished it all.
