This card will be entered into the following Challenges; Papertrey Ink, Nail Polish Marbling, Stamping Sensations, Close To Nature, Simon Says Monday, Make Your Own Background, and Simon Says Wednesday, Special Lady/Gal.
My background was made with Nail Polish you can check out Lizzie's Video HERE!
I made this panel in pinks and blues (why I have blue nail polish is beyond me).
And then I made a pretty blue panel which I used on my card. I also added a little bit of a pretty green Pearl Ex to the panel while still wet.
I used the Papertrey Ink stamp and die sets, Vintage Linens. Flowers stamped in Island Indigo and Marina Mist and the Leaves were stamped in Garden Green and Wild Wasabi inks.
Die Versions Curly Words-Hello die cut. Enamel Dots for accent. Inside Designer Paper, Green Boutique by PTI.
I like the way the marbling looks, the white kind of POPS!
Thanks so much for popping in.
Enjoy~~
This is beautiful! I just watched the video .. how cool ... might give it a try in a little bit! Thanks for always creating and finding new schtuff to inspire me! Beautiful! Happy Weekend my friend!
ReplyDeleteThis turned out beautifully! Love the blue background, especially. I was glad to use up some nail polish for this challenge--which I never wear, anymore ;)
ReplyDeleteLove both of your backgrounds Donna, and your card turned out FABULOUS! The flowers are so pretty (I love that set!!) and I love how the white of your sentiment really pops too!! :0)
ReplyDeleteSuch striking colours and lovely inky background, many thanks for joining us at Stamping Sensations 'Close to Nature' theme.

Now there's a technique new to me, absolutely brilliant! Your background is gorgeous, beautiful shade of blue and the flowers stand so proud! You are so clever! :-)
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful cards, what a cool effect it is, now I have to grab me a cup of coffee and watch this video...I might have to try it if I can find any nail polish I like in my stash (if it is not too 'old ladish' lol)!!
ReplyDeleteThis is one technique that I will have to try later at home. You have inspired me, now I have to try it. I have blue polish and I wear it on my toes. When I did my 97 year old aunt's nails, she had sparkly blue on her fingers. What a gal!
ReplyDeletestunning background, just love your cards. Thanks for joining us at Stamping Sensations.

Oh, I had not done that technique in years. I had forgotten about it even. And, since I no longer have any nail polish I will just remember and adore your wonderful cards you did with it. They really have lots of awesome nail polish colors to choose from these days too.
ReplyDeleteI love how these came out. Such a pretty background. I may have to buy nail polish to give it a try. Yep you don't remind me of a blue nail polish kinda girl.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool, love that you've made it with nailpolish. Great technique! Thank you so much for joining us at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Hugs, Sandra
