Love And Joy

Happy Saturday everyone!

Today I am back on the on the Dies R Us Blog!   I have a little black and white creation to share with you today which corresponds with our current Dies R Us Challenge #47 Black And White.

I grabbed this fabulous Zinnia flower die by Elizabeth Craft Designs.  Cut several flowers out of White card stock and Vellum.  Assembled by layering the 2 different sizes of flowers and curling and pinching the petals to make them look a little more realistic.  Adding large White Adhesive Pearls as center accents.  Then using the Paper Smooches  Foliage 2 dies I began cutting out my leaves also in White card stock and Vellum.

I arranged my flowers in a cascading design and once attached to the card base I started filling in the empty spaces with the foliage cuts.  I also added a handful of pearls to help adhere the die cuts down.  Functional and pretty.  Using Versa Mark ink and White Embossing Powder I heated my sentiment on a hand cut flag banner.  Sentiment from Gina K Designs, Fanciful Fall.  A sheer black ribbon and a few more pearls for accents.

  9. oh oh OHHHHH! I love love LOOOOOOVVVE! how gorgeous Miss Donna! Classic AND classy! Love your black and white motif to go with the challenge, and the incredibly beautiful papers! Your flowers placed in a triangular fashion are truly lovely! Carefully placed pearls (I envy that ability in anyone's capable fingers!), and the pretty black bow. What really melts my heart after everything else, though, is the very special message embossed in white! I NEED that Gina K set - sigh - I want to make a card just like that! Do I have your email address? I think we meant to exchange addresses - or did we already do that? Can you tell I am fried - it's been a rough week. I'll look at my emails - sheesh! Hope your Sunday is extra special, my sweet friend! hugs, de
