Shine On!

Good Morning!  I trust everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and have enjoyed their down time with family and friends.  Yay!  We head to our daughter's house today to extend the festivities, should be a great time!

Today's card will be entered into the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, Anything Goes!  I made this card for one of my BEST Gal Pals, Bonny!  We have a fabulous relationship and were able to work side by side for 5 years!  One of my most favorite blocks of time!  Free therapy for 40 hours every week!  lol  Nothing like our girlfriends, right?

The image is by Stampedous, Cowgirl Boots and the sentiment is by Gina K Designs, Shine On!  Colored with Copic Markers and Sakura Metallic Pens.   The Designer Paper is Sweet Threads by Basic Grey.  Some added lace to match the Cowgirl's petticoat which was colored and topped with an iridescent chunky long glitter.  I thought the twine lasso would hi-light the sentiment and glued it on using Glossy Accents, worked great!  A wee bit of bright green ribbon was also added.  An MFT Dotted Scallop Die was used on the inside border.

Believe it or not but this was Bonny's Thanksgiving card, unique, like our friendship!

Hope you all enjoyed your Holiday......watch out Christmas is right around the corner!!!

Thanks for popping in!

Happy Thanksgiving (again!)

Good Morning!  Just want to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!

I just stopped by Mary's Blog, VeryInkyFingers, ink to paper to fingers,  and she made this gorgeous Christmas card using a napkin and Dazzling Diamonds.....which reminded me of the VIDEO I saw and was inspired to make a card as well.  Although I did not use a napkin, I did use this gorgeous photo my daughter took of the view from her front yard.  Isn't it glorious?

And here is my card:

I used a wood mounted stamp by Rubber Stampede A2430F, which has 5 bare winter trees.  I stamped the tree line twice in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  Then twice again on acetate, which I then stamped onto the white card stock, upside down, lining it up under the first tree line, to mimic the reflection on what would become my water.   I shaded several different colors of Distress Ink onto my scene, depicting sunset, sky, and water.  And then began the FUN part!  I covered the entire image in Versa Mark Ink and then covered that with Heat And Stick Powder, heated it all the way through and then sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds all over that.  Heated that, to seal it all together!  Both of those products are by Stampin' Up!  and are incredible!  The Dazzling Diamonds not only dazzle but they blind, it is THAT sparkly!!!

This card wasn't for any Challenge, I just sent it off to my Daughter and Future Son In Law so they could have it.....of course they 'got it' immediately!  lol

As always thank you all so much for stopping by, I appreciate you doing so.

May you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving as well.....travel safely!

Oh and Happy 300th Post to me!  ;)

Enjoy~~

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you all enjoy your family and friends and a fabulous feast!

Today's card has nothing to do with the Holiday, well not this one anyways.  I have moved on to Valentine's Day and am happy to do so!

This card will be entered into the Mod Squad Challenge, Timed Challenge, One Layer Card and the Papertrey Ink Challenge, Stamping A Plaid Background.

Now you know I LOVE my layers, but I must say I really LOVE this Love Card!  The plaid background was fun to create.  Once again I did not have the correct types of stamps so I used another road stamp from PTI's City Scene set.  Worked like a charm!  I used Memento Inks in; Angel Pink, Lilac Posies and Pear Tart and a Colorbox Ink in Moss Green.  The word Love is a One Liner also from PTI (thanks again Barbara!) and I colored it a deeper pink to match the card.  I added a bit of thin pink Washi Tape to make a border for the plaid background, and then just 'randomly' tossed a few pink sequins all around.

My time was 12:14.....but worth it!!!  Heck I have spent 2 days on a card before!  True Story!  ;)

It's nice and bright and happy!  Love it!

Thanks for coming by!

Enjoy~~

My Favorite!!!

Good Day!

Awhile back I won a gift card to Stampendous and when I browsed their site I saw this gorgeous Red Cardinal stamp that I knew I had to have, Cardinal Elements.  If you know me you know I just adore Red Cardinals!!!

My card will be entered into the Inspired By Stamping Color ChallengeWhite, Green, Red and Kraft, IBSIC88.

The stamp is gorgeous and has lots of details.  The wing detail reminds me of stained glass.  I stamped the entire image, which includes the background music sheet, in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, shaded the white card stock with Antique Linen, Distress Ink, then colored the image with Copic Markers.   Stamped a second wing, colored and fussy cut out, added some white glaze using a Sakura Pen and popped it up on dimensions.  The Designer Paper is by Echo Park, Season's Greetings.  Put many layers under the entire image and set it off kilter for a little different look.....kind of love it that way.  Added a few dots of Liquid Pearls in Flamingo and some red and green accents using Sakura Glitter Pens.  Used an MFT Dotted Scallop Die for the inside border.  A bright red ribbon to complete the look.

Isn't he just glorious???

Hope you are creating something you love today....or tomorrow....or this weekend.....whenever you can!

Enjoy~~

Sweet Little Flower Girl

Hello Again!

Today's card will be entered into the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, Thanks/Thanksgiving.

I used the sweet little image, Flower Girl from Great Impressions Stamps. Sentiment from Flourishes, Hydrangeas set.  Colored with Copic Markers and accented with Sakura Glitter Pen.  The Designer Paper is from Authentique, Gathering Collection.  A little bit of lacy ribbon and Enamel Dots for accents.  I think she is adorable!

Thanks for popping in, you know I love it when you do!

Valentine Tags 3

And my last post of Valentine's Tags....I think.

These will also be entered into the Stamp TV Challenge, All Things, Great And Small.

Chip board jars and small tags cut out using my Cameo.  I used the stamp sets, Buds & Vases and Simple Hearts from Gina K Designs.  Jar image stamped on card stock and then on Vellum.  Stamped heart images on the card stock and then covered with the Vellum to create my jars, then glued them to the chip board jars.  Decorated with ribbon and Jute Twine, button and chip board button and Baker's Twine.  I stamped the circle hearts onto card stock and then cut out using Spellbinders Scallop Circle Die.  I also stamped xox onto the little tags.

I really need to find a 12 step program!  lol

Thanks so much for coming by.

Valentine's Tags 2

Hello!

Here are my next 2 Valentine's Tags, also entered into the Stamp TV Challenge, All Things, Great And Small.

Using my Cameo I cut out the chipboard jar shape and the little itty bitty tags.     I used the Gina K Designs stamp sets, Buds & Vases, Home Tweet Home, Simple Hearts and Stamp It Big.  I stamped the jar image twice, once on card stock or Designer Paper and then on to Vellum, fussy cutting each out.  I then stamped my images inside one jar and on the small tags.  I glued the Vellum jars to the card stock ones, then I glued those down to the chipboard jars.  Decorated each with ribbons and Jute Twine, and a chipboard heart and Baker's Twine on one and some small Designer Paper hearts punched out on the other one.   Added some Stickles to the little heart on the little tag.  Again, these will be so sweet with a box of chocolates or other Valentine Trinket.

Thank you so much for dropping by, I appreciate you doing so!

Enjoy~~

Valentine Tags 1

I can honestly say that I am addicted to making tags.  I LOVE them.  I love them on a card, I love them all by themselves....I have always thought they are just little pieces of ART.  Truly.  Maybe you think so too!

These tags were made with the Stamp TV Challenge in mind, All Things, Great And Small.    Melanie is hosting and she has challenged us to make creations using LARGE stamped images and small stamped images.  FUN!

Here are my first two tags....oh and I am extremely happy to say that I have now moved on to Valentine's Day....don't get me wrong, I love Christmas, but I think I have finished all the hand made cards and tags I need.  I do have to create my yearly beach photo card, but that should take no time at all!  I just have to decide on my topic!

I had so much FUN making these jar tags.  I cut the jars and little tags out using my Cameo (all 6 tags are made with them, 2 more posts to come).  I used the Gina K Designs stamp sets, Buds & Vases and Simple Hearts.  I stamped the jar image onto Designer Paper from K & Company, Valentine Sweetheart and then again on Vellum, fussy cut them all out.   On the right jar tag I also stamped little hearts onto the Designer Paper.  I glued the Vellum to the stamped jar and then glued that to the chipboard jar shape, sponging the edges.  Adding ribbons and Jute twine, Baker's Twine and an Adhesive Rhinestone for decorations.  Stamped on the little tags as well.  I think these will be great to accompany a little box of chocolates for Valentine's Day!

Thanks so much for popping by!

Enjoy~~

Santa Hat Birdies

Hello Again!

Today's card will be entered into the Inspired By Stamping Monthly Challenge.  I chose the Color Challenge, White, Green, Red and Kraft, # IBSIC88.

The stamp is by Hampton Arts Ditto.  I used Designer Papers from Basic Grey, Nordic Holiday.   Stampin' Up! Cranberry Cobbler Ink was stamped on Kraft card stock.  I colored in the tail feathers with a Green Copic Marker.  Added a bit of chunky white glitter to the hats and teeny tiny adhesive pearls for the eyes.  A little cream colored ribbon and a bunch of larger Adhesive Pearls for accents.  An MFT Dotted Scallop Die for the top and inside of the card and a corner punch for more accents.  A sweet little card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Enjoy~~

Sew, What's New?

Good Day!

Today's card will be entered into the Curtain Call Challenge, Pin Cushion.

I will say upfront that I am not too particularly fond of this card,  I stamped and colored the image THREE times..... and gave up on that and just paper-pieced the sewing machine....grrrrrrrr!

The stamp set is an oldie but a goodie from Gina K Designs, Sew Pretty.   Chipboard buttons made by using a Sizzix Die.  MFT Scallop Border Die, paper piercing, Sakura Glitter Pen, some ribbon and Baker's Twine to complete the accents.  I am going to re-stamp that image and re-color that image and maybe redo this card.  lol

Hope all your images are colored to your standards!  lol

Enjoy~~

Cheers! Take 2

Good Morning!

I inked up this fabulous stamp from My Favorite Things again, Martinis On Me.  This time making it into a Birthday card.  I am entering it into the MFT Sketch Challenge.

I love working with sketches, they give you a great guideline for creating a card.....and typically they use layers, you know that is my most favorite thing!  :)

And here is my card:

The Designer Papers are by K & Company.  Image colored with Copic Markers with added accents of Stickles and Sakura Glitter Pens.  Don't you just love her pink sparkly shoes?  lol  Memento inks in Pear Tart and Rose Bud.   Pink and green Adhesive Rhinestones and some 'randomly' scattered pink sequins.  Corner Punch.  Inside I used an MFT Die,  Dotted Scallop Border.

I hope you all find something to celebrate today, even if it's just actually taking the clothes out of the dryer, folding AND putting away.  I always forget steps 2 and 3!

Thanks for popping in!

Enjoy~~

Cheers!

Good Morning!

This card is a bit different then others I had made, a bit sexy lol.

It will be entered into the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, We're Seeing Stars.

She's quite fun and fabulous!  My Favorite Things was having a super sale so I picked her up for a song and some scalloped dies too.  She is from the Martinis On Me stamp set.  Quite fun for the upcoming Holidays.  I used lots of the DCWV Holiday Glitzy Glitter Designer Papers. Sizzix die to cut out the stars as well as Spellbinders Classic and Scalloped Circle Dies.  Image colored with Copic Markers, sequins to add some accents as well as Sakura Glitter Pen and Stickles added to her headband and cocktail dress and shoes.  She's all set to PARTY!  Cheers!

Thanks for popping in!

Last Tag......For Today!

I promise!

I will enter this tag into the Mod Squad Challenge, Tag It!

This was also fun to make and is so sparkly in real life!  A very simple tag!  Rustic in flavor.

Tag cut out using my Cameo.   I stamped the trees from Gina K Designs stamp set, Blessed Is The Season, in Peeled Paint Distress Ink and Stampin' Up! Always Artichoke, twice.  I covered the whole tag in Versa Mark Ink, then covered that in Heat and Stick Powder, heated it and then covered with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, reheated to seal it all together.  I just have to say WOW!!!  This stuff is blinding it's so sparkly!   The camera picks it up a bit but does not do it justice.

Very Simple!

Very Rustic!

Very Sparkly!

Thanks so much for coming by, I truly appreciate you doing so!

Enjoy~~

Back again!

These next 2 tags will be entered into the Mod Squad Challenge, Tag It and the Challenge at Simon Says Monday, Ornaments

Just another fun project to create.  I cut out several circles using Spellbinders Classic Circles die.  Then glued them to each other so the same Designer Paper would be showing on each side.   Folded in half and then layered on top of each other created the ornament shape.  Holly and sentiments are from Flourishes That's A Wrap! stamp set.  Tags were cut out using my Cameo.  Images colored with Copic Markers.  Jute Twine, ribbon and Stickles added for accents.  I may have to use some wire or silver twine to add a loop to make these ornaments hangable.  :)

Love the 3D look of these.....inspired by.....any guesses?  Pinterest!

I appreciate you stopping in.

Enjoy~~

2 more tags!

These will also be entered into the Mod Squad Challenge, Tag It and the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, We're Seeing Stars.

Another fun little project.  These whip up nicely, lots of fun to plan and decorate and will come in handy in apparently 40 MORE DAYS!!!!!!  Eek!  lol

Tags and trees cut out using my Cameo, making these so easy peasey to complete.  I ripped some scrap paper to use as a stencil for my snowy hills, topped with a bit of Gina K Designs Prismatic Glitter, Frozen....sooooo sparkly!  Sequins for tree decorations a glitter star overhead and a bit of ribbon.  Designer Paper is by American Crafts, Jack Frost.  The Joy and Peace are part of a larger stamp, also by Gina K Designs, Merry Little Christmas, which says Peace Love Joy.  The closer tree was popped up on dimensional dots.  The ribbon on the left tag is not that short, it just loosened a bit for the photo.

I can write the recipients name on the back or use a little sticker, saving the tag for next year too!  ;)

Thanks so much for coming by, may you have a creative kind of day!

Enjoy!

Good Morning!

I spent most of yesterday making little Christmas Tags, oh the FUN I had.  Here are the first 2 that I will be entering into the Challenge at Mod Squad, Tag It and the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, We're Seeing Stars

The trees were cut out using my Cameo, four of them so I could layer and add dimension, the tags were also cut out too.  I colored the star with a Copic Marker and then added Stickles to make it shine!  The sentiment is part of a baby stamp by Verve.  Eyelets, a little ribbon and Copic colored Adhesive Pearls for accents.  Totally inspired by Pinterest!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Enjoy!

Ahoy!

Good Morning!

I keep forgetting to mention that I have finally added a Pin It Button to my Blog.   So if you see something you would like to save for Inspiration on your Pinterest Board, feel free to do so.  Just hover over the image and a Pin It Button should appear in the top left corner.  :)

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Inspired By Stamping , IBSIC87.  You can choose any of 3 challenges or ALL three....I chose the Color Challenge, white, blue, red, and tan.

I am sending this card off to a young man who will be turning 13 on November 27th, Alex LeFevre, he is disabled and here is what his Mom posted on Face Book:

Facebook friends, I have a favor to ask. Alex is turning 13 this year. In years past, he has had lots of friends to a big birthday party....and he loved it. At 13, well, other kids 'grow out' of that sort of thing....and even if we did i...t, the party stuff, while still appropriate for Alex, would not really be fun for his fellow 13 year olds. Alas, I am not trying to be depressing, and he will still have a party BUT, and here is where you could come in... could you send him a card on his birthday? In it, can you put WHERE you are located so we can pin it on a map and get in a little geography at the same time (hehe!) Maybe even a fun fact about your town or state. His birthday is November 27, so there is lots of time! Thank you tons!

Alex LeFevre
16 Howe Street
Williamstown, Vermont 05679

Perhaps you would like to bring a smile to this young man's face too!  Thanks so much!

And here is Alex's card:

I used the Pirates and Background Basic IV stamp sets from Inspired By Stamping.  I made the porthole by placing 2 Spellbinders Classic Circle Dies together.  Added 4 Philip head screw brads to make it look real.  lol  I also added texture using a Wood Grain Embossing Folder.   The sentiment portion is popped up on dimensional dots and I added some thin Jute Twine to each end, to 'tie it all together'  :)

I will add some information about my beloved Chatham and Cape Cod.  Of course I will mention that I am 'living on the elbow' so he can tell where I live when he looks at a map of Massachusetts.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Enjoy~~

JOY

Back Again!

This card will be entered into the PTI Challenge, Stamping Ombre Backgrounds.

Again, not having the correct style stamp I improvised by using one of the 'road' stamps from a City Scene.....now you can see it right?  lol  I used Colorbox inks, Lemon Grass and Moss Green, Memento Ink, Pear Tart and 2 Stampin' Up! inks, Garden Green and Always Artichoke to create my ombre background.  The JOY is a One Liner Die Cut, 2 layered together, I colored the top one a deeper red using a Copic Marker.  Added a diagonal criss cross of red ribbon, Spellbinders die; Lacy Square, Copic colored Adhesive Pearls and a bit of Sakura Red Glitter Pen to hi-light the berries on the Designer Paper.

A perfect little card to help spread some Christmas Joy!

Thanks so much for coming by, I appreciate you doing so!

Wishing You Joy

Good Morning!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Sketch Saturday and the Challenges at Simon Says Monday, Ornaments, and Simon Says Wednesday, We're Seeing Stars!

And here is my card:

This card uses lots of Designer Papers from DCWV, Holiday Glitzy Glitter.  The ornament and star dies are by Sizzix, the banner is by MFT Blueprints # 12 die.  The sentiment is from Gina K Designs, Wishing You Joy.  Stampin' Up! Ink, Cajun Craze and some Baker's Twine accent.  Darice Embossing Folder for background texture.

This was a fun card to put together.  It sparkles and shines and makes me happy!

May you always find something that makes you happy!

For Your Hurting Hearts

Good Morning!  Heading out early to meet my daughter at The Cape Cod Canal to have a nice long walk and a nice long talk.  Can. Not. Wait.

This card will be entered into the Challenge at My Favorite Things, Sketch and at the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Thinking Of You.

I must say this has been one of my most favorite sketches and favorite cards (even though it is a sympathy card) that I have made recently.  Let's see what you all think!

I used the Flourishes stamp sets, Anemones and Lots Of Thoughts.  Pure Luxury Card Stock, Cranberry Tart.   Designer Papers by Echo Park.  Image colored with Copic Markers and each flower center has some Liquid Pearls in Flamingo added.  Some pretty pink ribbon, chipboard button (I finally know what to do with them now) pink button, thin Jute Twine and Adhesive Rhinestones.

I hope this card brings some comfort.  One of my Crafty Chics Group Member just lost her Mom.  :(

Thanks for coming by, hope you're getting your craft on!

You're Swell

Back Again!

This card will be entered into the Challenge at Reverse Confetti, November Sketch and for the Challenge at CASology, Sea

And here is my Card:

I used the Happy Harbor stamp set from Reverse Confetti, super cute!  Pure Luxury card stock in Turquoise Sea and White, Designer Papers by Echo Park, A Perfect Summer.  I love that little anchor border stamp, it is just perfect!  The larger anchor ain't so bad either.  I punched a hole in the top and added a pretty  blue eyelet.  All stamped in Distress Ink, Broken China.  The sentiment is a great match for the Sea Challenge....well it's swell!  I also added some corner punches to frame this clean and simple sketch.  In hindsight I think I should have used an embossing folder on the white background, perhaps even just the Swiss Dots to add some texture....*snap*

Thanks for stopping by, appreciate you doing so.  The Reverse Confetti Sketch Challenge is open til November 29th, still plenty of time to play along!

Enjoy~~

Partial Die Cutting

Good Morning!  Hope all is well in your corner of the world!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge over at PTI, Partial Die Cutting, Curtain Call, Boho Bright and Simon Says Wednesday, Thinking Of You.  I liked to preface this by saying that it would totally HELP if I had the correct types of dies to do this technique.  Oy Vay!

I used Papertrey Ink's Tag-It's #2 stamps and Lovely Layers stamps and die sets.   The card stock is Pure Luxury Wild Orchid, and some fun designer papers I found in my stash by Basic Grey, Sweet Threads.   Using the 2 scalloped flower dies I cut some bright colored papers by American Crafts, Stars And Stripes.  I glued them on to white card stock cutting it out using the Spellbinder's Grommet Tags die, creating the partial die cuts.   Added a bit of Baker's Twine and some Adhesive Pearls colored with Copic Markers.  Not really caring for this card, I then created a matching envelop, topped with a flower die cut and stamp, adding more Baker's Twine.....it's all about diversion.  lol

This will make an okay gift card, tossed aside once the present is in hand.....well at least that is the plan!  HA!

Thanks so much for popping by....oh and if you have some time on your crafting hands you may want to keep reading.

This last part is all about the Challenge I am Hosting over at Mod Squad Blog.  Just another diversion!  ;)
