Partial Die Cutting

Good Morning!  Hope all is well in your corner of the world!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge over at PTI, Partial Die Cutting, Curtain Call, Boho Bright and Simon Says Wednesday, Thinking Of You.  I liked to preface this by saying that it would totally HELP if I had the correct types of dies to do this technique.  Oy Vay!

I used Papertrey Ink's Tag-It's #2 stamps and Lovely Layers stamps and die sets.   The card stock is Pure Luxury Wild Orchid, and some fun designer papers I found in my stash by Basic Grey, Sweet Threads.   Using the 2 scalloped flower dies I cut some bright colored papers by American Crafts, Stars And Stripes.  I glued them on to white card stock cutting it out using the Spellbinder's Grommet Tags die, creating the partial die cuts.   Added a bit of Baker's Twine and some Adhesive Pearls colored with Copic Markers.  Not really caring for this card, I then created a matching envelop, topped with a flower die cut and stamp, adding more Baker's Twine.....it's all about diversion.  lol

This will make an okay gift card, tossed aside once the present is in hand.....well at least that is the plan!  HA!

Thanks so much for popping by....oh and if you have some time on your crafting hands you may want to keep reading.

This last part is all about the Challenge I am Hosting over at Mod Squad Blog.  Just another diversion!  ;)

This week I am hosting the Mod Squad Blog Challenge!!!

Here are all the details, hope you play along, there is a FABULOUS prize involved!!!

Grandma's Attic.....So Grab A Doily!

Good Morning Crafters!  I am excited to be hosting the new Mod Squad Challenge!  For today's Challenge I want you to incorporate a Doily into your card or project.  It can be in a subtle way, which I have chosen, or in a big bold way, your choice!  Just make sure we can see at least a peek!

My first card only measures 4.25 x 4.25 inches.

I used the Gina K Designs stamp set, All Occasion Tags, an oldie but a goodie!  The card stock is Pure Luxury Wild Orchid, by GKD and the Designer Paper is Dots And Stripes, by American Crafts.  The Doily I used is bright and white and really stands out.  Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Spellbinders die, EK Success Butterfly Trio Punch (top layer punched out on Vellum) and a few Adhesive Rhinestones complete this card.

My second card is a little bit more elaborate.

This card uses the Gina K Designs stamp set Mistletoe Memories, just perfect for the Holiday Season!  Card stock is GKD Pure Luxury Asparagus and Passionate Pink

I've added lots of little accents, Adhesive Pearls, Flamingo Liquid Pearls, Chipboard Button, Button, Twine, Corner Punch, Doily, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Pink and White Gingham Ribbon, Sizzix Die, Branch With Leaves, and Chunky White Glitter for snow.

So climb up to your Nana's attic or open up that wonderful crafty accent drawer and pull out a Doily!

Please head on over to the Mod Squad Blog and check out the Challenge AND the prize!!!

Thanks so much for coming by!

Enjoy~~
