Sunshine In My Life

Good Morning!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes! and Simon Says Work It Wednesday, Sunshine.

I used two sets by Flourishes (poor Flourishes) Dahlias and Hydrangeas.  Images colored with Copic Markers.   Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8 and MFT Cross Stitched Rectangles dies used.

Hi-lighted 'sunshine'.

Sheer Ribbon, Stickles, Wink Of Stella Clear Pen and Crystal Drops for accent.

I needed a thank you card for some generous neighbors. My Hubby helped him put up some window boxes one night.  When he came home he had 3 large pots of beautiful Dahlias.  The couple own their own Exterior Design Company out of Connecticut and said they had some 'leftover plants'.  They are the only people I know who have 'leftover plants' lol

I transplanted and split one up too.  Aren't they gorgeous?

Leftovers....lol

Thanks for coming by!

Enjoy~~

All That Glitter Is Gold!

Good Afternoon!  The sun is shining the temps are rising and the snow is melting.  Yippee!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at Power Poppy, Go For The Gold and Simon Says Monday, B Is For.....

I used the Hydrangeas stamp set by Flourishes.  I decided to gold emboss this image on Vellum, I am still always amazed how well Vellum takes the heat for this technique.  I also made a gold embossed border for the background layered piece, an easy trick!  Trio Butterfly Punch by EK Success, top layer is also Vellum topped with 3 small Adhesive Pearls that were colored with a Copic Marker.  Corner Tabs, Shear Ribbon and Black Enamel Brads for accents.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

CAS 4

Holy Smokes, it's an epidemic!  lol  Another CAS card.

I am entering this one into the Less Is More, Foliage Challenge.

Another stamp set from Flourishes, Hydrangeas.  So beautiful!  As I write this, I am looking at the 4 HUGE plants I have to my left, they make such big gorgeous hedges, adding quite a bit of privacy to the yard too!  Stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Kraft card stock and colored with Copic Markers.  There is absolutely nothing else on this card!

The End.

Summer Lovin'

Good Afternoon!

For 3 days it has been trying so hard to rain without any avail!  Now it is here and I am happy.....my gardens are happy too!

Today's card will be entered into the CASual Fridays Challenge, Summer Lovin', to use hearts in summer colors somewhere on your card or project.

Here is my card:

I used a little heart paper punch to create my summer hearts, then placed them on a little flag die cut out.  The sentiment is a perfect match, it's by Flourishes, Hydrangeas set.  A little ribbon and a rhinestone complete this creation.  Nothing fancy, very CAS (yup, a hard style for me to make!)

Thanks for popping in!

Enjoy~~

Hydrangeas, Beautiful Hydrangeas

Hello Again!  Had a little bit of time so I made another card for the Challenge Judy is hosting over at Mod Squad Blog, Triple The Fun.  Thought I would try this great technique with this GORGEOUS Hydrangea stamp set from Flourishes.

I LOVE how it came out, hope you do too!

Colored with Copic Markers, a bit of purple twine and button, and some Liquid Pearl centers added to the flowers.  This flower is the quintessential Cape Cod flower for sure!  I can not wait for mine to grow big and strong and bloom.

Here's a photo from last year's 'hedge'.

Thanks for popping in.

May your day be a happy one!

Enjoy~~

CAS Hydrangea

Good Morning!  Guess what?  Another floral card. HA!  I am willing Spring into our lives!  Your Welcome!

A real simple (and not so clean???) card.

I love this stamp set, Hydrangeas, no longer available from Flourishes.  Should we talk about Flourishes?  I hope that Jan finds a buyer for the Company, what a sad day it would be to have them go out of business.  :(

I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.   Then taking my handy dandy old toothbrush I just flicked paint all over it in green, pink, blues and purple.  That was fun!  Adhered it to the Vibrant Violet Pure Luxury card stock and added a pretty purple ribbon.  Done!

This card will be entered into the following Challenges:

CASology #84, Paint
Flourishes #260, Less = More
Mod Squad Blog Thinking Spring 2.0

Thanks for popping in.....see you soon.....I hope!!!

Enjoy~~

Heather's Hydrangeas

I'm baaaaaaack!  Happy Saturday!

My card today is for the fabulous challenge over at Flourishes #256    2014 Pantone Color....PURPLE!

And I thought what better stamp set to use than the beautifully detailed Hydrangeas set?!?  Again, I have to thank the overly generous  Heather Jensen for sending me this lovely set!  I have added you to my Pay It Forward 2014 list. I think I finally came up with my craft idea! ;)

I just have to say, I LOVE this set.....it is so beautiful, so many sizes of gorgeous hydrangeas and sentiments, wait til you see the font on the one I chose for this card!  Fabulous!

The only thing I did for this card really was to color, color, color.  I still have a long way to go in that department, but all in all, I like it!  I added yellow and orange Sakura glitter pens to each flower center, some adhesive rhinestones, and a little purple ribbon and wha la!  Done!

I wish this is what I was looking at out my window, but it's still just a little white out there, although the sun is shining so that's a good start!

Now check out that font, is it not gorgeous?!?  Love the script and built in flourishes.  Simple Pleasures!

I hope you have a purple hydrangea kind of day!  Don't they just make you HAPPY???

This set is available at Flourishes.

Thanks for popping in.

Enjoy~~

Contrast, Clean And Simple

Howdy!  Seems like it's been forever!  But I am back with a card for the CASology Challenge #79 Contrast.

My card uses and image from the Flourishes, Hydrangea set.  I believe this set is soon to be retired and unavailable right now.  BUT a generous Flourishes Design Team Member, Heather Jensen, was overly kind and sent me her set.  I have always said, crafters, card makers in particular, are so kind.  I hope I can pay it forward......thank you Heather.  And if any of you would like to see how talented she is, please stop by her Beautiful Blog; Simply Handmade By Heather, be prepared to be WOW'ed!

I used one of the smaller sized bouquets of Hydrangeas for this card.  Colored with Copic markers and a touch of a yellow Sakura glitter pen for the centers.  The white background uses the Swiss Dots embossing folder and the 2 dies are Spellbinders, Ornate Squares.  (I found them yesterday at AC Moore, they have a bunch of them at a $10 special purchase--good to know!) I colored one flower different than the others and popped it up a bit for the contrast.

Living here on Cape Cod we are surrounded by such beautiful Hydrangeas.  I have 4 large ones that make such a fantastic 'hedge'  Ahhhh, simple pleasures!

*** On a personal note ***  I was off Cape for most of last week.  My Mom has been having a few medical issues, but I am happy to say, that she is doing so much better than we first thought, phew!  But, she still needs her kids and family around to pitch in and help out, so I will be going back and forth for a few weeks.  I apologize to all of my Blogging Friends that I have not been able to pop on over to their Blogs.  It's just been crazy busy.   I do love seeing what you have created and being inspired every time I do.  Please don't think I don't love you....I do!  ;)

Thanks for stopping by, I do appreciate it, as well as YOU!

Enjoy~~
