This card will be entered into the PTI Challenge, Stamping Ombre Backgrounds.
Again, not having the correct style stamp I improvised by using one of the 'road' stamps from a City Scene.....now you can see it right? lol I used Colorbox inks, Lemon Grass and Moss Green, Memento Ink, Pear Tart and 2 Stampin' Up! inks, Garden Green and Always Artichoke to create my ombre background. The JOY is a One Liner Die Cut, 2 layered together, I colored the top one a deeper red using a Copic Marker. Added a diagonal criss cross of red ribbon, Spellbinders die; Lacy Square, Copic colored Adhesive Pearls and a bit of Sakura Red Glitter Pen to hi-light the berries on the Designer Paper.
A perfect little card to help spread some Christmas Joy!
Thanks so much for coming by, I appreciate you doing so!
Enjoy~~
What fun background! It looks really cool, especially with the pop of red!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the stamp you used to create your background...never ever would have thought of using it, but it is SO clever! Great job! :0)
ReplyDeleteSo clever of you to use the road to create an ombre pattern. I love it! You're such a good "outside of the box" thinker. I must take notes!
ReplyDeleteVery cool!!! You have rocked that technique - it looked really hard when I watched the video. Especially when I don't have the correct stamp. But...necessity is the mother of invention, and you have invented something very clever. Love your colors too - the red JOY just pops.
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT!! Only you would think to use a road stamp to make a ombre background. I really like the red dots on the pattern paper and the look of the crisscross ribbon with the lacy die. Keep thinking outside the box my friend. lol
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous card. Great colors.
