A Is For Anchor

Hello!

Today's card was made for the Challenges at Simon Says Monday, A Is For..... and the Challenge at Dies R Us, One For The Boys.

I was inspired while perusing Pinterest!  The stamp set is from Neat And Tangled, Hope Anchors.  I masked off the anchor portion of the stamp and embossed it in white.  Then using a small Sizzix anchor die I made my own chipboard anchor. I glued 4 die cut layers together and then covered the entire thing in glitter.  The red stripes were made with a Teresa Collins Stencil.  2 large white eyelets at the top to run my white 'rope' through and a small navy ribbon to separate the blue card stock and the red stripes.  I also cut an anchor out of the liner on the inside of the card.  Adhesive pearl inside the top of the anchor....to anchor it lol

I absolutely love this sentiment!

Thanks so much for stopping by, I appreciate you doing so!

Enjoy~~

Coastal Inspiration

I am lucky enough to see it and be inspired by it everyday!  I am blessed!

Without further ado, here is my card:

I finally used this awesome stamp, Hope Anchors, from Neat And Tangled.  I LOVE it!!!  It's one complete stamp so no messing up the placement of image vs. sentiment, great right?  I used Stampin' Up! Night Of Navy Ink.  Some wonderful red plaid Designer Paper from Echo Park, A Perfect Summer.  Some Baker's Twine, a corner punch, and a few randomly 'tossed' sequins.  I also made a matching envelope--yes I am loving these!

I've also been getting in the habit of really decorating the insides of my cards, I think it adds so much and really just gives it a nice finishing touch......don't you agree?  I've never really been one to stamp an inside sentiment, I prefer writing a heartfelt note, so this design works for me.   The anchor die is by QuicKutz, super cute and matches perfectly, and then I just took some of the same gorgeous red plaid DP and made a top border using a Martha Stewart punch and I also used the left over little strip of red plaid to jazz up the bottom. Ta Da!
