This card will be entered into the Challenge over at CASology, Stripe.
I have a stripe of color topped with a stripe of shells. I just LOVE this shell border stamp from Gina K Designs, A Year Of Borders, the sentiment is from By The Sea. I took 2 scraps of paper and tore the edges, taped them down on the card stock and then sponged some blue ink in between the paper. A simple technique, but looks very pretty. Works in any color and for every image. I also added a wee bit of Stickles to each shell, hard to see in the photo, of course.
Another low key, no fuss no muss (except for that little smudge of black ink on the left, grrrrr!) CAS card.
I will say they come together rather quickly! ;)
Thanks for coming by, hope you do something today that makes you HAPPY!
Enjoy~~
I love this! That stripe of blue really makes the stripe of shells stand out. I love that sentiment too! Wish I was at the seashore!
ReplyDeleteI really like this one my dear. Great tip for making an interesting stripe, thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteA great CAS card. Makes me want to make one just like this. You could really knock these out in no time and make sets. Since I don't have any sea shell stamps, I will need to put on my thinking cap to do that. Now, where did I put that cap? Hmmm!
ReplyDeleteThat strip of blue is what makes this card, and I love how you acheived it. Until I read your description I thought you just stuck a strip of blue paper on there. Love that it's inked on. You could even use a couple of different colors for a different look. There is such a mood of calm in this card, really nice!
ReplyDeleteLovely Donna! Didn't notice the ink smudge!
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful CAS card! Perfect for where you guys live! Have a Blessed day!
