Masculine Easter

Hello Again.

Another quick little card, which will be entered into the Challenges at Stamp TV, Happy Easter and Scrapy Land, Anything Goes!

I needed one more Masculine Easter card and here is what I came up with.

I cut 3 Oval shapes to make my eggs using the Spellbinders Classic Ovals die.  I cut them from Kraft card stock.  Here there is a local jingle; Brown Eggs Are Local Eggs, And Local Eggs Are Fresh.  Not sure if this is true for every part of the country, but we grew up singing that little ditty.   I then decorated my local brown eggs using the Gina K Designs stamp set, Lots Of Washi, inks in Marina Mist, Old Olive and Wisteria Wonder.

My basket, fabric liner and sentiment are also from Gina K Designs; Basket Blessings and Holiday Basket.  Ink in Raven Black.  My background cover plate die is by Papertrey Ink, Hexagon.  I thought it would be that 'chicken wire' look that would compliment my theme.  Card stocks; Ivory, Kraft and Green Apple.  Very manly!

Hope you have an EGGStra special day!

Thanks for hopping by!

One Layer Collage

Good Afternoon!

The sun is shining, the winds are howling, man is it cold out, still feels like winter.  I know the calendar predicts Spring will arrive tomorrow, but I fear it may not.  *sigh*  Oh well, one day at a time!

I made this card for the Challenges at Stamp TV, One Layer Collage, (hosted by my dear friend, Karen Hightower) and at Simon Says Monday, Lions And Lambs, to use a 'critter' on your project.

I think Karen said she used 13 different stamp sets on her card, egads....I have only used 9....only!  lol

At first I felt intimidated by this Challenge, but once I started stamping I felt more at ease.  Although I definitely stamped in a more organized fashion, a more structured collage, more orderly and balanced.  I don't know if this is what Karen intended us to do, but this is how I did it.  hahaha  Not so carefree after all.  Who knew?  The only accents are the itty bitty brads from Stampin' Up! in green and blue.

I used the following Gina K Designs stamp sets;  Botanicals, Elegant Elements, Labeled With Love, Lots Of Washi, Signs Of Spring, Springtime Silhouettes, Stamper's Favorites and Stipple Nature, Tropical Flowers.

Distress Inks in;  Antique Linen, Broken China, Peeled Paint, Spiced Marmalade, Weathered Wood and Wild Honey.

Next time I think I will stamp in a more willy nilly fashion.  :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy~~

Gina K Designs Design Team Inspiration Hop February 2014 Day 1

Good Monday Morning!!!

The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop! Gina, along with the Cast and Crew and Guest Designers, will inspire you with many beautiful ideas! And as you hop through their blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of Gina K. Designs products! To see the full list of winners check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hops.

I am so happy and proud and THRILLED to be a Guest Designer for the month of February.  It's quite an honor for me!  Thank you so much, Gina and Crew!  (special thanks to Lee and Cat for holding my hand and walking me through this!  lol)

Today we are showcasing 2 of the brand new stamp sets, the first one is Stately Flowers 8 from Melanie.  If you have been dealing with the winter weather of February, like we have here in New England, then you will be ready to start creating some beautiful floral cards.  Spring can not get here quick enough for me, but with this set you can begin to enjoy what Mother Nature will surely bring....soon...oh please make it soon!

I have created a little birthday card measuring 4.5" x 4.5" with a matching envelope.

For this card I chose the beautiful Yellow Jessamine image, so much FUN to color!   This is the state flower for South Carolina (somewhere I wish I was!).  Pure Luxury card stock in White, Grass Green, and Lemon Drop.  Designer Paper found in my stash.  Stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with Copic Markers.  Spellbinders Scalloped & Classic Oval dies.   EK Success Tag Punch, layered.   Sakura White Glaze pen for flower centers.  Adhesive Rhinestones.

Next up we have Beth's newest set, Lots Of Washi.   This set is going to change your life....truly!  So many things to do with it.  Create simple strips of color, full backgrounds, or even stamp on white tissue paper for the real Washi Tape effect!

My card features 3 out of the 5 patterns included in this set.  I went with a bright and cheery all occasion card.

I used embossing folders on glitter papers, to match the patterns created by stamping in Stazon Inks, Mustard, Pumpkin, and Teal Blue.  Adding buttons and Baker's Twine in matching colors.  This card just makes me happy, even after all that shoveling I just did!

Check out all the amazing designs and inspiration with these sets:
