You Make Me Happy

Good Morning!

An itty bitty card to share with you today.  This will be entered into the Challenges at Stamp TV, Size Doesn't Matter, WOW! Embossing Powder and Simon Says Monday, Butterfly Beauty.

This card measures only 3.5 x 4.5 inches.  I finally opened that jar of Texture Paste I bought way back when.  Using a PTI Hexagon Cover Plate die cut as a stencil,  I smeared on a good amount of the paste.  While it was still wet I doused it in some Gold Embossing Powder and let it dry overnight, then I heat set the powder.  It did bubble up a bit here and there, but I was able to smooth them down with my fingers.  It's kind of cool and full of wicked texture.  This was all done on a Spellbinders Decorative Label 8 die cut.

Cheery Lynn Butterfly 6 die cut, which I ran through my Mini Minc with Gold Foil.  I also traced the die itself on to black card stock to create a backing.    The sentiment is from Gina K Designs, Baskets Of Happiness, which was also heat embossed in Gold Powder.

I'll have to do some experimenting with the Texture Paste....I'm just so pleased I finally opened it!

Thanks for coming by!

Enjoy~~

  3. Wonderful use of that texture paste. It's gorgeous, very clever to use the embossing powder. And I love that you did it on that tag, so pretty. And then, of course, there's that beautiful, shiny butterfly. LOVE how it came out with the Minc. Just stunning, and all in a sweet little package.

  9. I am such a chicken when it comes to using black, but you have NAILED IT! I love the way you framed the whole thing out with the delicate curls and flourishes and the honeycomb shape in the background is fantastic. And that butterfly is a shop-stopper! This card definitely makes ME happy, so thanks for always doling out the inspiration!
