Thinking Of You

Hello!

I can honestly say I love flowers and I love jars....and I just adore flowers IN jars!  :)

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Simon Says Monday, April Showers Bring May Flowers and Simon Says Wednesday, Polka Dots.

I used the stamp and die sets from Papertrey Ink; Vintage Linens, Just The Jar--Quart.  I 'water colored' the flowers.  Jar was die cut out of water color paper and a layer of Vellum, which I then gently sponged the edge of in Pool Party ink, to give it the look of glass.  Adding pale blue sequins to the bottom right corner to give the appearance of water.  Easy technique and love the way it looks.

Stamped the sentiment form Gina K Designs, All Occasion Tags onto an MFT Traditional Stitched Tag die in Black Licorice ink.   A little Bakers' Twine and a few more sequins in orange and green.  Designer Paper is by DCWV, Glitter Basics.  Black Sakura Pen to hi-light center of flowers as well as a bit of Wink Of Stella Clear.  3 Dimensionals to pop up flowers.

***** WARNING*****  I will be using this jar set a lot!!!

Thanks for coming by.  Hopefully tomorrow I will be in the gardens.....we are still experiencing cool weather and now the winds have kicked up.....Spring is very late this year!  Sigh.

Enjoy~~

  3. You can't go wrong with flowers as beautiful as these in a jar. I think this is my favorite color combo, green and orange. Putting vellum over the jar is so clever. better than painting with white acrylic I think. Then, those sequins in the corner....Sigh!
