Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at ScrapyLand, Tie One On.
After our daughter's wedding last year, a dear friend sent us a lovely note on this gorgeous Papyrus Note Card. I immediately knew I would make her birthday card from this beautiful paper!
It has the feel of 'home made' paper with beautiful rich tones of light pink and dark rose with gold accents. I knew pairing my Mini Minc and Gold Foil would be a perfect combo!
Using the Toner Papers by Heidi Swapp, I die cut the Cheery Lynn Butterfly 6 and Fanciful Flourish and then added my Gold Foil.....WOW! Check out the bit of flourish on the inside, you can really see the gold tone shine! It's difficult to get the camera to pick up the foiling on the butterfly and large portion of the flourish, the photos really don't do it justice.....or it could just be the operator! :)
The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Happy Hexagons stamp set, stamped in Melon Mambo ink onto a Traditional Stitched Tag by MFT. Pearl Flower Button, Sheer Pink Ribbon (which was wired, but I removed it all) and some Jute Twine to tie everything together.
I hope Betty recognizes the paper and doesn't mind I used it in this way. I had a second piece saved, but over the weekend I was Puppy Sitting, and somehow my little Hankie Doodle got a hold of it and ate it....the dog ate my homework lol
Pretty In Pink!
Enjoy~~
Wonderfully done! Thank you for joining us at Scrapy Land challenge :)
